Age of Dragons

Chi heard a voice and slashing. She sprayed water over wear she was."I'm over here...." she cried out tears going down her cheeks as she was curled up in a ball her hands on her head weeping on the fire tile floor.

 

"Ravage, follow," Kaden commanded her dragon. He obeyed, and sped to the ground in a similar manner as the other dragon. Kaden dismounted as well, and looked at the other rider. Like her, he was clad in full armor.
"Wise choice, sir," she said to him. "Judging by your lack of fear of my dragon - and that large bag of gold you have there - I'm guessing you're a bounty hunter."

 

Rain didn't move. No nodding. No words. He was like a metal statue leaving Kaden to assume what she will. His left hand rested on the hilt of his sword and a shield was strapped to his back.
His dragon rested with it's eyes closed, a light grumbling snore could be heard from it's slowly inflating and deflating nostrils.

 

"Yeah," Kaden said, while reaching for her own weapons, "Definitely a bounty hunter."
She looked at him, trying to determine a weak spot in his armor. "At least tell me your name, rider. You have quite a mighty dragon, not to mention mastery of it. I'm impressed," she said.

 

The silent knight starred for a moment, not moving an inch, when he replied, "Rain". His voice ringed through the metal of his armour almost fully masking his actual voice in a metal echo. He said nothing else but gripped the handle of his sword. He could tell this stranger wanted something from him.

 

"Rain, huh? Interesting. My name is Kaden. This is Ravage," she said, gesturing to her dragon. "I don't come across other bounty hunters often, so I'm making you an offer that I won't let you refuse - join with me to eliminate a potential threat to the Fire Region. My employer has promised me a large sum of money in return, probably three times what you have in that bag there. What do you say?"

 

OOC: No you can still join.

 

"I refuse", Rain replied as he turned around patting the dragon a moment before he hopped on it's back. The moment he sat on the saddle again the dragon stood up. Rain looked down at Kaden to see if she had anything else to say. Rain had already made up his mind. He does not work with others unless they option themselves as a shield.

 

Kaden sighed and said, "I told you that I'm not letting you refuse...Ravage!" she shouted, and in a split second Ravage had Rain's dragon by the throat. Kaden walked over to Rain. "Now shall we talk again? Or will Ravage have to snap your dragon's neck?"

 

John ran towards the direction Chi's voice was coming from, dodging and slashing pieces of the house, trying to reach her. When he reached her, he quickly resheathed his sword and picked her up, saying, "Let's get out of here!" He ran back in the other direction.

 

"If you value your life you will find a more team work capable accomplice other than myself", Rain stated, not stating he was a threat but that he would not work with Kaden. He drew his sword, which glistened in the sunlight as if it was drawing in the suns rays itself. "Release my dragon".

 

Chi grabbed his arm tugging still on the ground crying."I....can't....move...my....legs...." she said gasping for air.

 

OOC: I think it's night, or at least not day anymore. xD

IC:
"Ha, my own people think I'm dead, I have nothing to lose. I might be a woman, but I do not fear you. If it's a fight you want, I'd be willing to give you one, perhaps it will convince you to join me," Kaden said. She put on her wrist claws and removed her halberd from Ravage's saddle. Facing him, she said, "Last chance to accept without a fight, Rain."

 

OOC: Ah screw it, I'm not editing it. Too lazy.

BIC: Rain returned to being silent once again as he leapt off his dragon and reached behind him as he took his shield. His female opponent seemed to fight with power, Rain fought with speed. In his mind he felt this would be a stalemate in the end as he powerful and possibly wide swings and short range stabbings would give her an offensive defence while Rain's fast movements and strikes would eventually tire him out or not make a good enough hit or two to get through her armour. Alas, Rain would not back down if it meant he could tend to his business.

 

OOC: Fayt and DP, I suggest you color code. You don't have to, but it makes life so much easier.

 

OOC: You really are a lion. xD

IC:
"Very well," Kaden said. She tightened her grip on her halberd, running at him and taking a swing. She missed, but her aim was to get him off balance. Like his dragon, she noted that he was quick on his feet. Kaden continued to take swift and powerful swings at Rain.

 

Rain, using a combination of foot work and his shield, constantly dodged and blocked as he had presumed. This fight would end up with them tiring each other out and at this rate he would be dragged along with this woman. It would only slow him down and possibly mean her death if faced with the gravest of danger. Rain swiped at Kaden with his sword but continually missed during the gap from the movement of her attacks and his dodging.

 

John bent over and lifted up Chi, cradling her in his arms like a baby. "You don't have to," he said, smiling. "Now, let's get you out of here." He took off the way he came, dodging debris from the fire, making sure Chi was safe. As he was almost out, a burning cross-beam fell down in front of them, trapping them. "Dang!" exclaimed John. "Now what?" He tried calling out to his dragon. "Vento! Help!" But his voice wasn't strong enough. The fire was taking away his breath.

 

Kaden growled slightly in frustration. None of her hits were landing, so she tried a different method. She took a straight jab at him with the halberd, causing him to back up, and in that time she dropped the halberd and moved in to fight with her metal claws. It allowed her to move faster with her attacks, and while none of her strikes did damage, she left several scratches on Rain's armor.

 

As she attacked Raine managed to land a hit or two on her armour catching the same part of her armour twice leaving a larger scratch than any she left on his armour. It wasn't that his sword was too blunt but he could not swing hard enough while dodging Kaden's attacks.
