Age of Dragons

Kaden nodded. She saw that the bartender was at the other end, so she spoke above normal volume. "Bartender, two tihaar here," she said. The man nodded, and in a few minutes he brought them a pint of the drink each. It was clear, but smelled strongly of fruit. Kaden couldn't fight the grin that came on her face, and she took a drink as soon as the man set it down. "It's made of fruit, but very strong - the smell betrays the strength of it. Always been my favorite," she said to Rain.

 

Mark looked at her in a kind-of weird way, "you have known me for, what, a day? I wouldn't expect you to know everything about me."

 

She shrugged. Shouldn't I be the one saying that? You told me about your past and stuff and I haven't told you a thing.

 

John blushed a little when Sora said 'Lover boy'. "Let's go, Vento," he said. He hopped on Vento and they both took off together.

 

Rain observed the drink before he decided to take a drink. Instead of simply lifting his visor Rain removed his helmet. His skin was extremely pale white and his eyes where an electric blue and along with his almost midway down his head blonde hair it gave the impression he was from the lightning region. Instantly, he took the cup and drank from it before returning it to it's place on the table.

 

Mark grinned, "so why don't you start now? Y'know, so I can act the part in case I do end up as you in the morning," he said, winking at her.

 

She smiled. Sounds like you want to be an identity thief. She shifted herself on the bed. It's a pretty long story.

 

Mark grinned, and laid back on the matress on the floor, "I told you my long story, didn't I?" he asked, looking her in the eye.

 

Kaden stared at him for a moment, not expecting him to take off his helmet. She had not expected him to look so...normal, as most bounty hunters she came across wore armor because of battle scars - facial or otherwise. Shaking her head slightly, she took another drink, then put money out on the counter for the bartender to collect.
Remembering the men from before, she glanced up again, but quickly cursed. It had been a mistake, and now the men had gotten up. There were three in total, and all were advancing on them. "Rain," she said softly, "We have company."

 

She smiled. I guess you're right. Well, it started when I was 10 and my sister was 14. We moved into a shelter after the first war. 4 years later, we had tomove out since they ran out of supplies. We wandered around from region to region. In water region, we were chased by a stray dragon. We accidentally stumbled into Fure region. Before we could escape, some guards caught us. They decided to torture us since they thought we were spies. My sister tried to protect me, but they chained her. Then they started to whip me making my sister watch me suffer. I don't remember what happened since I passed out, but I found myself in a forest with gashes all over my body and a rusty sword stuck in my thigh. The pain was so bad, I wanted to die. Then I saw a dragon. It was the most beautiful dragon I've ever seen. I prayed it would kill me. All i knew was that I blacked out and found myself in Earth saying that the dragon saved me. Mya looked outside at Shia. Shia saved my life. I am in debt to her.

 

Sighing, Rain returned the helmet to his head and waited for the thugs to get closer. His hand was near his weapon's hilt, even though he felt he'd only require his fists.

 

Noticing where Rain's hand was moving, Kaden touched his arm. "It'll have to be close combat here," she said. She then got up and walked around the counter to face them.
"What do you want?" Kaden asked.
"You're a bounty hunter, correct?" one man said. Kaden nodded once.
"Then you're Tracyn, the monster that killed our buddy," he continued.
"I might have. I lose track of past bounties," Kaden replied.
"Damn you!" the man shouted as he rushed forward, drawing out a dagger. Kaden sidestepped his attack, ending up behind him, and pulled out and put on her claws. She now had her back to the two other men, and she heard the sound of them drawing out weapons as well.

 

Noticing that the fight had already began Rain dashed from his seat at the other two men. His surprisingly light armour allowed him to move quicker than they thought and by the time the men had noticed the fully armoured bounty hunter move they where stabbed by their own blades. Rain returned to his seat shortly after.

 

Chi just looked around unsure what to do. She walked back up the stairs freezing. She sat on the bed looking out the window her shoulders freezing. She hugged herself her white sleeveless dress.

 

"Thank you," Kaden said to Rain. She turned her attention on the man in front of her now, and after a few more rushes by him, she decided to end the fight. Similar to her fight with Rain, she caught the man's dagger in one claw, then stabbed him in the stomach with the other. "Join your friends now," she growled at him and withdrew her claw, letting him fall to the ground.
She turned around to return to her seat, but after she took a few steps, she felt a blinding pain between her right shoulder and neck. Looking back, she saw that the man was still alive, and just stabbed her. Cursing, Kaden lashed out at the man again, but missed and fell to the floor.

 

As Kaden dropped to the floor Rain drew his sword and decapitated the last man. This guaranteed his death.
As soon as he sheathed his sword he helped Kaden off the floor to a chair then took a part of a table cloth and put it over the injury using Kaden's hand to keep it there and apply pressure. "We should get to a place where you can have that wound properly tended too", he stated to her quietly.

 

Kaden groaned and fell over slightly. She hadn't expected the attack, and certainly did not expect the wound to bleed so heavily. She knew she was bleeding out a lot despite the pressure, her vision was starting to swim and she felt sick.
"Blast it, Rain," Kaden said as she slumped over further, "I don't think I can walk properly like this."

 

Mark smiled, "dragons have a way with saving lives," he said, laughing, "between the two of us, we are both life-debted to dragons, and I have heard plenty of tales where a dragon saves someone's life, it is in their nature."

 

Mya sighed. I suppose. I still have the scars from the whipping.

 

Rain picked up Kaden and carried her out of the building, "Which way would be to a doctor?" he asked as he looked around.
