alex eased around the girl and sat down in front of her. she looked around confused.
"do you...use reins or something?"

olivia felt the wind whipping her face and loved it. it was just like being at home. flying so fast and freely felt incredible. it was a new kind of thrill and she loved it. as they got closer to the light region, the trees started to become thicker. forests were more abundant and people grew sparce. it was apparent that people no longer tried to live near the ruins of one of the greatest civilizations in the country.

 

OOC: Oh oops XD

BIC: Sasha smiled and shook her head. Real dragon riders connect with their dragons. Try to talk to Irvine with your mind.

Xane opened the door. Good to see you're back.

 

"Was it just me or did you feel like we were being watched back there?" Lars asked.
"So what if we were? The only way they would've known what we were talking about is if they had dragons of their own. And even then, it's not a bad thing that they overheard. Also, try and speak to me the way I speak to you. It'll keep our conversations more private."
Lars nodded in agreement.
"How much longer 'till we reach these ruins?"
"Soon."
Lars rolled his eyes.

 

That was interesting. Maybe I should've gone to the other ones. Allen thought. Too bad for you then. Looking up to see where the voice came from. "Well look what the cat dragged out, what're you doing here Xero.
I decided to check it out. So what're you going to do now? Xero asked.
Meet me at the town exit and I'll tell you. He thought heading in that direction.

 

Mya soon landed in a giant crater filled with debris everywhere. In the center of it laid an alter, made to honor both regions that were torn apart during the war. Mya rubbed her branded shoulder. She didn't expect the king to reveal her true identity to the public. Even though people defended her, she was sure she was legally banned from the Earth region. She sighed and rubbed Mai's head. You think they'll follow us? After seeing who I am?

 

ooc: Oi...where is everyone? School is making my head spin.

 

OOC: I think Mya's at the ruins and everyone else is on their way to the ruins.

Shinobi picked Yuuki up on her shoulders and watched the waterfall near her house.

Cloud dipped low over the Water Village. She could feel the presence of a strong spirit. Her claws unfurled and reached out. "Today...is our day." With barely a sound, Cloud snatched the child from her mother's shoulders and lifted her into the sky with her. The mother's piercing cry echoed after her and yet the child remained still in Cloud's claws. "She will not be afraid...of this I know. This girl has watched me fly for days now." Cloud took the child toward the ruins of the Nature region. She wanted to show the little girl something fantastic that would earn her trust and assure Cloud this girl would be her rider in the future.

jon nodded at him.
"yeah, i made it out and back just fine. thought i'd stop and show you that i've returned. that is what you asked afterall."
he looked around expecting to see people walk by at any moment.
"so...i know you're planning something...you gunna tell me what it is?"

alex looked at sasha funny.
"i thought you can only communicate with your own dragon, not other people's."

olivia landed in the light region. she and krios walked around the old kingdom for awhile exploring it's many ruined wonders. there really wasn't anything there that could be made out as distinct buildings or structures, but walking through the destroyed streets made it easy to imagine where everything was. it was all so surreal. before ever coming to the nation, it was almost as if it were just an aweful story. not a real place.
krios...this place is so sad...

 

Sasha patted her head. That's not always true. Anyone can communicate with a dragon, but it will choose whether it will listen or not.

Xane scratched his chin and paced around the entrance. Now is not the time. I will reveal it when the time is right.

 

jon sighed and rolled his eyes.
"whatever you say. i'll see you soon."
he walked away towards rha and climbed on his back to head home.

alex looked at sasha funny.
"all right..if you say so."
she looked down at the back of the dragon's neck.
so..uh..what's your name? mine's alex. thank you for letting my ride on you...and uh...fly you...
alex grimaced.

 

Xane narrowed his eyes. He knows too much. I'll need to do something quick... He stepped back onto his home.

The dragon growled lowly. Nice to meet you. I'm Irvine.

 

alex moved around on the dragon's back excitedly.
"wow! that was so cool!"

while walking, olivia came across something familiar in the rubble. it was so old and withered she could barely believe she had recognized it. she picked it up out of the dirt and held it in both her hands for awhile, staring. it was a doll shaped like a rabbit. there was an eye missing and the ear was partially torn. stuffing was coming out of the seams in the legs and stomach. the rabbit had clearly seen better days.
this isn't possible...
krios looked down at her confused.
what's wrong? you look like you've seen a dark dragon...
olivia never really understood dragon humor, but she looked up at krios for just a moment.
"i...i think this is mine...it went missing years ago...when i was five...but i don't....it shouldn't be here...."

 

Cloud struggled to keep the girl in her claws, 'Sit still!' She growled lowly and glanced down at the little girl's face staring up at her. A wave of guilt slammed into her as she stared at the little girl's bright blue eyes. 'Forgive me, little one.' She slowed her rapid pace and lowered Yuuki to the ground a few feet from the ruins. 'Do not run off--' the girl bolted as soon as her feet hit the ground and Cloud padded slowly after her.

Yuuki ran as fast as she could, away from the dragon she'd watched for weeks. "Help! Oh please someone help me!"

 

Lars and Light (<-- Lightnos' nickname) began to fly above an eerie ruined area. There was nothing but the crushed remains of old buildings and structures.
"I assume that's the ruins?" Lars asked, pointing down on the area.
"Yep. We're here." Light said, beginning to land.
Lars hopped off the dragon and looked around. There was just something about places like this that gave Lars a bad feeling. "What happened here? Everything's destroyed."
"A war unlike any other."
"The Great Dragon War..."
Up ahead, Lars noticed someone, a blonde-haired girl staring strangely at something in her hands, and behind her...a Dragon.
Lars fast-walked up to the girl, not to seem like he was going to attack her. Light followed closely behind.
When he reached the girl, he could see the confusion in her eyes.
"Hey, uh...Something wrong?" Lars asked.
Light stood and watched, paying close attention to the dragon behind her.

 

olivia looked up at the boy in a trance.
"do i...know you?"
she was confused why there was some strange guy talking to her, especially since there wasn't supposed to be anyone in this region.
krios sniffed the other dragon's neck.
lightning huh? i'm not a huge fan of lightning dragons.
he let out a low growl.

 

"Uh...N-No, but uh...I'm, uh..." Lars was at a loss for words. He hadn't had much experience with women, since most of his teenage years were spent in captivity.
Light looked back at the dragon. "Can't say I'm fond of you either."
Lars gulped, "Th-This is where the monument was, right?" Lars finally managed to choke up.

 

Yuuki ran towards voices and tumbled into Olivia. "Oh please, I don't want to be eaten!" The little girl's hands gripped Olivia's leg and buried her face in her hip. "Hide me!"

 

"Eaten? What're you talking about?" Lars asked.
Light looked to Lars. "Something's coming. You want to prove your worth to me? Use your skills and protect this girl."
Lars nodded and unsheathed his blade. He began to glow as he stepped up and stood by the fearful girl. "Don' worry 'lil lady. Ain't nothin' gonna git you t'day." Lars said in a badly done wild-western tone. "Whatever's coming, I'll take it on!" Lars said, lightning sparking from his sword.

 

Yuuki gripped the man's leg too in a grubby hand. "No, don't hurt it!"

Cloud padded through the trees and loomed over Lars. 'This is ridiculous. A human raising a sword against me?' She snorted and growled low in her throat.
