Age of Dragons Revamped Edition

alex started running after akuto on his dragon.
"hey! wait!"
it was too late. akuto and mya were gone and she had no dragon. she tried to hold in her sadness. it was the first time since the attack that alex felt happy and that the pain wasn't the one thing on her mind and now it was gone. she was alone again and still had no idea how to get to the water region.
alex walked into a shop down the road to get something to eat. she paid the man that brought her food and asked him how to get to the water region from there. after asking another coworker, they pointed her in the right directions, so when she was done eating she could leave.

jon finally found a young schoolgirl that would talk to him. he asked her about the attack and described the person he was looking for.
"oh! alex...well...she left..." "what do you mean she left? so she's alive then?" "uh...yeah...something about the water nation i think...wanting to get a dragon or something...it's obvious the death of her parents and the destruction of her home were too much for her. why do you want to know about alex. are you family?"
he knew he couldn't tell the truth, so he lied.
"yeah, i am. a distant relative. i heard what happened and wanted to take her in." "oh! i'm sorry for your loss." "it's all right. thank you for your time."
with that he walked away, towards the forest.

olivia watched as the dragon disappeared as quickly as it came.
"i wonder if i'll see her again."
she was in awe, by its magnificence. krios nuzzled her neck.
"i know i know. no one is a greater dragon than you of course."

Rhian saw all of them start to move and decided to follow one of the girls Mya had been with who seemed to have a definate direction and know exactly where she was going. She saw one of the guys leave on a huge dragon but she had already decided who to follow so ignored him. She held onto her stuff tight as she moved, she could not afford to drop it now and lose the girl. 'Avira' She sent a message to her dragon, 'I'm heading out of town, can you move and be ready for me? We're leaving in a hurry. Something's happened in town, a girl freed a dragon and escaped. We're going to chase the action and find her. I'll explain more when I get to you.'

 

Sasha saw the whole thing about Mya and her identity being blown. She was sure Mya would not come back. She did notice Alex trying to follow her. She followed her into the store and tapped her shoulder. Umm you're with Mya aren't you?

 

alex looked up from her food at the girl.
"uh...not really...we just met right before the parade. i don't really know her. why?"
she slurped up some noodles and then looked back at the girl.

when jon reached rha he climbed on back and headed towards home.

olivia went inside and finished packing.

 

She looked around the place before whispering to her. I can take you to her if you want.

 

alex thought about it for a minute.
"well...there's something that i really need to get done....but i guess it can wait. y-yeah, i gues i'd like to go."
she got up to follow sasha outside into the street.
"so where are we headed. something about ruins?"

{ooc: so i keep picturing alex as like fifteen, not seventeen...i think i'm going to change her age. i have this picture of how her story plays out and i see her younger than what she is. fifteen it is!}

 

Sasha nodded. Yea. Didn't your parents tell you about the Great Dragon War? It was the war that killed off the Light and Dark tribes. To honor them, they created a large building to honor them. Now it's just ruins. That's where Mya will go. She whistled and a water dragon swooped down as Sasha climbed up on it, waiting for Alex.

alex stood in awe at the water dragon. it was magnificent. she couldn't help but just stand there staring.
"s-sorry...it's just so wonderful."
she crawled on the back of the dragon.
"ah, no my parents...my parents never told me stories."
all the pain came flooding back in a wave. some moments it was easy to hide, but right now, all she could do was fight back the tears.

olivia walked out of her cottage with a couple bags packed. she tied them together so not to loose anything and then climbed on krios's back. with two large flaps of his wings, they were off the ground and on their way.

 

Sasha scratched her head. Sorry. I didn't mean to ask about your parents. Her dragon shot into the air and flew towards the center of the mainland.

 

Lars and Lightnos stood outside the Earth region, where Lightnos was explaining the ruins (OOC: I'm kinda gonna repeat what heartless_angel said about the story behind the ruins, if that's okay.) to Lars. "So lemme get this straight: After the Great Dragon War, a monument was built to honor the Light and Dark tribes, who were wiped out. Am I right so far?" Lars asked.
Lightnos nodded. "Okay, So now all that's left of that monument is just ruins?" "Right. And I will take you there. But first, I must teach you another one of my abilities. It is called Lightning Speed." The dragon explained.
"Now? But don't we have to get to the ruins?"
"We will. This ability is a bit easier than your last lesson, so it shouldn't take long."
"Alright, let's get it started, then."

~Lesson Two: Lightning Speed~

"Alright, now that we are away from the Earth region, we can begin. Draw your sword."
Lars did so, his markings lighting up upon contact with the blade.
"Now, focus the blade's energy into your legs and begin running. If you get this right, it'll look like you used teleportation. Give it a try."
Lars, who now knew how to focus electric energy to an extent, did what the dragon said. He could feel the power welling up inside his legs. He started running, and he could feel that he was moving almost twice as fast as he usually could. He had gone quite a ways away from Lightnos, so he ran back to him.
"How was that?" He asked.
"Pretty good, but not perfect. But we'll continue this lesson later. This took more time than I thought. Hop on my back and we'll get going to the ruins."
Lars nodded and climbed onto the dragon's back, they then began to fly off toward the ruins.

 

alex looked up at sasha.
"hmm? oh...it's fine."
she knew her despair was written all over her face, but she tried to hide it.

jon reached the fire nation and when back to xane's house to inform him that he was back. this time, instead of rudely awaking him, he decided to knock on the door.
knock, knock, knock he pounded on it a few times and then sat down on a bench outside.

olivia sat on krios's back thinking about where she wanted to go first. it was her first time really leaving the wind nation and she wanted her experience to be an adventure. after a little bit she told krios where she wanted to go. it was the destroyed light nation to the north. she'd always wanted to see the ruins in the north and the south, so she decided to head north first. then she would go to the dark nation.

 

Sasha sighed. You're not the only one who lost a family. Tragedies happen and sometimes you're in it. its the same story as Mya. She didn't want to be a part of the Fire Nation. She didn't want to revolt .

Bio: Shinobi fled from her husband in an arranged marriage with her young daughter from the Earth city and now lives in the Water village. Raising her young daughter has been hard on the young mother and yet Yuuki knows a lot about the world around her. Shinobi's gentle nature encourages her daughter to be friendly to all people and dragons included. Though she has never owned a dragon, Shinobi entertains a great longing to touch the sky with her daughter.

alex closed her eyes, trying to relax.
"i...i didn't say they were gone."
she took a couple deep breaths.

olivia and krios flew north. it was a long travel.

 

Sasha looked back at her. She then grabbed her and pulled her in front of her. Hey, try leading her west. I'll teach you how to steer around a dragon.

 

Akuto felt his power surging, becoming more and more powerful as he followed Mya. "do you feel it? This place is crawling with dark and demonic energy, why that girl would come here is beyond me' he followed her closely. He didn't want too close, having a dragon that's wings span almost 30 meters is hard to hide.

 

Shinobi brushed Yuuki's hair quickly and hustled her out the door. "Go, go, go, go! Hurry, hurry. Oh, look, look Yuuki!" The little girl stared at the sky rather than at the dragons her mother pointed at. "Momma...do you think that white dragon will come back?" Thinking, Shinobi couldn't put her finger on a white dragon, "White dragon?" Yuuki nodded, "It was pretty. It flies around here at dawn. It hasn't come in a few weeks."

 

Rhian frowned, she'd followed them and even managed to meet up with Avira without them noticing but to her dismay they didn't go straight to see the girl. They stayed behind and seemed to have what looked like a lesson. She watched, hidden from a distance but it didn't help that they could only hear half of the conversation as the dragon was communicating telepatically. She shook her head, but they did seem to keep mentioning some ruins. 'Ruins? Do you think that's where she is? Do you know if there are any ruins round here?' She thought to her dragon.

'That may be so, I do not know the area but they sound like there is. Do you wish to go look for ruins or wait and continue to follow them?' Avira replied, calm as ever.

Rhian thought, 'Let's go look, they can't be that hard to find and if not, we continue our journey as before' She clambered onto the silver dragon's back, putting the suplies in the bags before they slipped off into the sky.
