Don't you think you're using a few too many significant figures?

    Most of them sucked.
I will say that I managed to keep it relatively clean and not smelling like a fast food joint at least.

Shhh, don't let the others hear.

Believe me, I am the gladdest of all that you're poking your head into the wonderful world of subtext and implications for the very first time just now. However, you're still doing it wrong.

Since when do, "Never doing this again," and "This is hard," mean the same thing?

When you say that you're never doing something again or something along those lines, it's, of course, not literal -- at least not usually -- but it does imply that there is some sort of negative "consequence," if you will.

    Some Examples:

    • You get back from a long trip: "Okay, I don't think I want to take a trip again for a long time." - That implies that the trip you just took exhausted you. However, the following week you take a trip with your kids.
    • You're driving on icy roads and start sliding and almost hit a parked car: "I never want to drive again!" - It just scared you, because the next day you're driving again.
    • Working on math homework: "Ugh, I don't want see math ever again." - This implies that the subject was hard; yet the next day, there you are, studying math again.

Why do you keep referring to me in those examples? None of them apply to me.

Because they don't apply to you, hence why they're examples.

Yeah, but I can't understand them if they don't apply to me. The whole point of an example is to put things into terms that your audience can understand. If it doesn't do that, then it fails as an example.
