vance sighed.

i wish i knew how to help, but i would rather there wasn't any of this war business period for vance to be stuck in.
rose's eyes were filled with sadness but she hid it from the men.

 

Cloud sighed. "yeah... it'll crush her....... especially when i tell her we may have to kill him..."

"could i..... say goodbye?" Ren asked.

Sephiroth nodded. he and Ren teleported to Vance's house.

Ren walked inside.

 

vance jumped up at the sight of ren, startling rose.
"what are you doing here you little..."
he trailed off in a fit of anger and marched towards ren.

rose grabbed vance's wrist.
"vance calm down."

he ignored her and shook his hand free.

 

Ren drew his blade and pointed it at Vance. "stay back..."

 

vance rolled his eyes.
"i'm not afraid of you."
he took one small step back and put his hand inside his jacket grabbing onto the handle of his gun but without pulling it out.

rose sat on the couch nervously.

 

"don't get my wrong... i'm not coming back..." Ren turned around to face the door. "i just came to say goodbye..."

 

vance grabbed ren's wrist tightly.
"cloud!"
he kept his free hand inside his jacket on the handle of his pistol.

 

Ren froze.

Cloud ran to Ren. he stopped when Sephiroth appeared behind Vance. "Vance!"

Sephiroth pointed his blade at the back of Vance's head.

 

vance froze while holding onto ren's wrist.
he gulped.
vance's eyes slowly drifted in the direction towards cloud, filled with fear.
please say it's not, please say it's not, please say it's not.

rose's hands flew up to her face as she gasped.
her eyes were stricken with pain.
"vance!"

 

Sephiroth chuckled evily. he dug the tip of his blade into the back of Vance's neck.

 

vance squirmed a little uncomfortably at the feeling of the blade digging deeper.

rose jumped off the couch towards sephiroth's side.
"leave him alone!"
she hit him.

 

Reno please?

 

OOC- sure.

BIC- Sephiroth aimed his blade at Rose.

"stop!" Ren shouted.

Sephiroth halted. "hm?"

 

vance let go of ren's arm to wrap his own around rose.

rose stood there shaking.

 

"you are concerned for their safety?" Sephiroth raised an eyebrow.

Ren thought fast. "um... no." he lied. "it's just... if you kill them... we will attract unwanted attention..."

"i see.... good thinking..." Sephiroth sheathed his sword. "farewell..." Sephiroth put a hand on Ren's shoulder and they vanished.

"Ren..." Cloud stared where Ren once stood.

bic- Reno burst into the room as Sephiroth and Ren vanished. "damn it! missed him..."

 

Cloud glanced at Reno. "way to show up too late..." he stood up. "Sephiroth nearly killed Vance and Rose..."

 

Reno frowned. "nice to see you again too." he looked at Vance and Rose. "you guys alright?"

 

Cloud sighed. "sorry... i've just had a rough day..."

 

vance rolled his eyes and set rose down on the couch.
"we're just fine."

rose sat there shaking on the couch.

vance looked down at her.
"on second thought, maybe you should go lie down."
he picked her up and carried her to the bedroom.
