"it's about ren. i think it would be best if we met and discussed this in person. i'm not sure how safe it is at the camp right now so meet us at my place."

 

Ren sighed. "Vance... forgive me... i'm sorry..." he snapped a kick at Vance's head and attempted to knock him out.

 

vance dropped the phone and fell to the ground.
he grabbed his head in pain.
"son of a...! kid when i stand up you're dead meat."
he tried to get up but couldn't because of the pain.

 

Ren picked up his phone and ran.
"Vance! Vance are you alright?" Cloud's voice could be heard from the phone. Ren hung up.
"damn...." Cloud hopped on his motorcycle and headed to Vance.

 

vance crawled to a stance.
he is in SO much trouble when i find him.
he held his head as he started walking back to his house, hoping cloud would still go there.

 

Cloud was riding by when he saw Vance. "Vance!" Cloud rode up to him.

 

vance grabbed his head in pain and squinted.
"not so loud."
he moved over to the bike.
"let me on and drive to my place. it's the only place i can think of where we can talk and wont get information leaked."

 

Cloud nodded. he took off to Vance's house.
Ren made it to the SOLDIER camp.

 

when they arrived at vance's, vance hopped off the bike to go inside.
he was still holding his head.

rose saw vance enter the house clutching his head and noticed cloud outside.
"vance what happened?"

vance sat down on the couch.
"it's a long story. can you get me and ice pack please?"

rose ran off into the kitchen.

 

Ren waited for Sephiroth.
"so... you came." Sephiroth stepped out of the shadows.
"what... am i?" Ren asked.

 

vance sat there waiting for cloud to come inside and rose brought an icepack out to him.
she sat down next to him.

 

Sephiroth smirked. "you have heard of the 'Jenova Projects'.... correct?"
Ren nodded.

 

vance looked over his shoulder to the outside.
"cloud? are you going to come in?"
he stared out the window at the man on the bike.

 

Cloud snapped out of his thoughts at the sound of Vance's voice. "oh... yeah." he hopped off the bike and headed inside.

Sephiroth laughed. "by any chance... can you name them...?"

Ren nodded. "yes. Jenova Project G and Jenova Project S. you are a product of Project S."

Sephiroth smirked. "you forgot one..."

Ren tilted his head. "really...? what?"

"Jenova Project R. you are a monster... no better than me..." Sephiroth answered.

 

when cloud entered the house vance looked down sadly.
"ren...i think he has joined sephiroth..."
vance squeezed rose's hand in agony of the events that happened.

 

Ren gasped. "i.... don't.... understand...."

Cloud looked down.

 

rose gasped.
"what?! that sweet innocent little boy? joining sephiroth? that can't be."

vance shook his head.
"i think it's true."

 

Cloud sighed. "i don't know how i'm gonna tell Tifa this..."

Ren started shaking.

Sephiroth chuckled. "but i can help you..."

 

vance looked at him.
"i'm not sure but she needs to know as soon as possible. we can't just keep it from her afterall."

 

Cloud nodded. "i know... her and Ren have formed a sort of, 'mother and son bond...'
