Ren winced as he sat up. he had to get out of here.

 

when vance had picked up a decent portion of the camp he decided to head back to the hospital to check on ren.

 

Ren tied a bunch of blankets together, tied them to his bed and jumped out the window. he kept running until he reached a shop

 

vance entered the hospital room shocked to see ren missing.
"WHAT?! where is he?!"
he ran around the room and saw the blankets hanging out the window.
"that kid is in SO much trouble when i find him. he better hope cloud finds him before me."

 

Ren got on his phone.
Sephiroth's phone rang. he smirked.

 

vance rushed out of the hospital, tripping on some equipment on the way out.
when i find that kid...
he made a fist and cracked his knuckles a bit.
outside vance saw the open street and started running everywhere to find ren.

 

Sephiroth answered his phone. "hello Ren."
"Sephiroth... i'm accepting your offer...." Ren said.
"good..." Sephiroth smirked. "i'll be at the SOLDIER camp at midnight. don't be late." he hung up.

 

vance continued running.
"where IS he?"

 

Ren walked outside and saw Vance. "uh oh..."

vance caught a glimpse of ren out of the corner of his eye.
"THERE you are!"
he ran over to him and grabbed him by the arm.
"and what exactly are you doing out of your room?"
vance had an angered and frustrated look on his face.

 

"um... not talking to Sephiroth?" Ren laughed nervously. "could you let me go? this kinda hurts...." Ren said.

 

vance looked at him questioningly.
"i didn't say anything about sephiroth, so i'm suprised you brought him up. and by you jumping right out and saying 'not talking to sephiroth' makes me think that you were. what's going on with you kid?"
he eased up on his grip but did not completely let go of ren.

 

Ren sighed. "okay... i'll tell you... you would have found out eventually... Sephiroth visited me at the hospital a few hours ago..." Ren said.

 

vance grabbed ren's arm tighter.
"he did what?! and what exactly did you think you were going to do now?!"
his face was turning a few different shades of red from anger.

 

"well... uh... i... uh... Sephiroth asked me to join him... i declined his offer... no need to worry" Ren said.

 

vance glared at ren not sure if he should believe him or not.
"let me see your phone."

 

"um... uh... i... uh... h-here..." Ren took his phone out of the case and held it out to Vance.

 

vance snatched the phone out of ren's hand and flipped it open.
he scrolled through it looking for a specific number he hit send.
tapping his foot while the phone rang, vance glanced over at ren.
"hey cloud, it's me vance. we have a problem..."

 

"yes? what is it?" Cloud asked.
Ren looked down sadly.
