Just to make things a little more simple in my Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King General Character Information thread in Game Help, I think, though I'm not sure (I still haven't decided) because the game doesn't abbreviate them, going to abbreviate the stats, but I'm not sure what some of the abbreviations would be because states, for example, sometimes use the first two letters while others use the first and last letter and so on.

The stats used in the game are:
    • Strength
    • Agility
    • Resilience
    • Wisdom
    • Attack
    • Defence

I excluded the last two, though, since those include equipment. Strength and resilience are your base attack and defense. Anyway, I know that strength would be STR and attack and defence would be ATT and DEF, respectively, but would these be correct for the others?
    • AGI
    • RES
    • WIS

Now that I think about it, I think that one varies, because Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits uses ATT while Phantasy Star Universe uses ATP (attack power).

Yes, but the most common one is ATK. c r i ☆ m i n was using "always" to mean "usually" in the same way that idiots use "literally" to mean "figuratively."

    Also, Defense is usually DEF.
