A vampires touch

"No, but I'm sure you'll teach me. An interesting target. Difficult to scare I wager. Something personal here?"

 

"Sadly, it's not that simple. You see, he's kind of elusive, as in no one will admit to his existence. He controls about a third of the vampire hunters in the city, and he murdered my entire coven. I've been searching for him for a couple of months now, and the only lead i've gotten was a whacky nun.'

Tabris decided to cut to the point. "What say we find some vampire hunters and kill them?"

 

"Sounds like an interesting new sport. Why not? I can see that you will teach me new forms of entertainment."

 

The night was near as Adrain sauntered out of his apartment. Slowly he jumpped on top of the roof tops of buildings hunting down the given targets from before. He swore other vampires were on his case following him a such what. Still jumping he saw the young woman again.
"S***, shes here now damn."

 

"The fun part is actually tracking down the hunters. Because, of course, they hide among normal people. Let's go back into the night club. I'm sure you're not the first Vampire to hunt at night clubs, so naturaly there will be at least one or two there."

 

"An excellent place to start. There are others in there I know, it's just we ignore each other. There are unwritten rules regarding disturbing others hunting. If you are hunting the hunter however, all bets are off. I suggest that we hang around the dark corners. We're bound to catch up with a vampire sooner rather than later, and they can be used as bait for the hunters."

 

Quickly entering a portal to somewhere Adrain entered finding himself in a Vampire Hunter Location.
"Damn Im getting worse at this portal crap...."

 

"That might not be necessary. In fact, probably not. After all, i have these-" Tabris held up his claws- "to hold up a big sign that says 'I'M A VAMPIRE' to anyone who is smart enough to notice. All it takes is for me to take my hand out of my pocket once, and that can be the bait."

 

"I will be with you all the way. I want to hunt the hunters, and this 'Saint' sounds like a worthy prey. I hope they show up tonight."

 

Hiding his senct Adrain quickly walked through out the vampire hunters. Acting lie them he blended quite well.

 

"Let's head back in then. If any halfway decent hunters are there, they will suspect something already. sound good?"

 

Shrieker jumped into the nearest manhole cover, and strait into hell. When he reached the bottom, he could hear it, and within seconds because of his echolocation he could see it. From what he could hear, a group of vampires had returned early from hunting to find a group of vampire hunters setting up, but not done with, a trap. The bloodshed had started immediately with heavy casualties on both sides. It was all out war from what Shrieker could hear and he had missed the first few minutes when the major killing had happened.

This was none of Shrieker's business, and he would not get killed so close to reuniting with his love. He headed in the opposite direction from the battle, but one of the hunters spotted and followed him.

"This city is really going to the dogs," Shrieker said and then released a localized sonic wave at the man behind him, knocking the man to his knees, "Why can't we all just get along. We are sharing a city with a goddess you should be more respectful and not cause so much discord. You should be begging to be her next meal not fighting, not that you can hear me what with you eardrums shattered" Shrieker then proceed to break the man's neck, and push the corpse face first into the sewage. Shrieker then hid in the shadows hoping, for the first time in his life, that the vampire hunters would win so that he could have someone to follow.

 

Selene nodded in agreement. She was more than willing to hunt for vampire hunters. They had no right to disturb her world. She saw them as an inconvenience at best.

 

The vampire hunters won, but barely. One lone woman hunter was left standing. She began to run down the tunnel with Shrieker trailing a safe distance behind.


Shrieker pasted the corpses of all the other vampire hunters, if you could call them that. They were all young and looked untrained. Also, for the most part they looked to be only from the poor side of town (with used clothes and such). Hunters used to be mostly priests and the higher class who had lost loved ones and gone on vendettas, but these folks looked to be neither. The leader must be very desperate to use such troops knowing that many would be lost.

Shrieker was surprised the woman he was following had not taken the first manhole she found up to the surface, that was unlike someone who had just been trapped in the dark with a bunch of vampires. He continued to follow.

 

Tabris walked back into the noisy, crowded nightclub, wondering if there actually was a vampire hunter in the crowd. He seemed to be in luck. A young man at the bar seemed to be eyeing zaris with that look of suspicion that tabris had grown used to seeing on people's faces.

Tabris gave a bored yawn and stretched with his hands out of his pockets, which revealed the two parts of tabris he wanted the man to see- his fangs and his claws. Tabris looked back at the man, and was glad to see that his look of suspicion had metamorphed into a look of downright malice. No one else had noticed, anyway.

 

Selene grinned as she saw the hunter's expression. This could be fun. She stroked Tabris's shoulder and laughed, exposing her fangs. The hunter seemed almost ready to attack them there and then.

"we have a live one here" she whispered to Tabris.

 

Tabris couldn't help smiling himself. "Not for long", he responded.

 

"Then let the hunt begin!" Selene was eager for the game to start. Tabris was no beginner either. He worked with an assured confidence that only came with practice. She wondered if the stranger was hunted by one of these hunters. She had neither seen or heard him since. Somehow he seemed familiar, but in a way she couldn't quite work out.
