A T rated KH game would be classified as an oxymoron.

Did you miss the part with the ring-around-the-rosey and the singalongs? Kingdom Hearts isn't maturing, every "secret video' makes you think 'lolol dat iz dark and maturez, lawl just 4 me', but it's not, it's just fanfare, in the end it's still disney and there's still singalongs and there's still ring-around-the-rosey and winnie-the-pooh

    Curses! :yelling:

On a serious note though, I don't think KH will ever get to being a T-Rated game (unless it honestly have to cover the plot), partnered with the fact that is not really needed. The game is fine and just great the way it is, we've lived with the Disney of it for six years (counting 2008), we can handle the rest. Not to mention, that KH's target audience is kids from 10 (or lower) to preteens, to even teens, and it attracts older audiences. Is a family RPG, basically.

The funny thing is, that while people complain about the "kiddy add-ons", they keep buying it.

What I would only like to change is to put less...cheesy, sappy, or cringeworthy lines and actions (this is more on the English version, however).

    But then there's Sora.

    Period.

When I first got KHII, and looked at the content rating, seeing ' Blood, Use of Alcohol, and Fantasy Violence' made me say 'WTF?' But then I got to Port Royal, I laughed when I saw the so-called 'blood'. It looked like tomato sauce! Same thing with alcohol. It was so fake. Just because of that, KHII was rated E10+ Do you really think that BBS, or any other KH game on that note, is going to be rated T?

But that would be awesome if it were T :)

Dude, ring-around-the-rosey is a bad song. If the real meaning of that song was it the game, it would be rated M.

Winnie the Pooh is gangsta, leave him alone.

You are right though. It will still always be a kidfriendly game.

    Rated T? Please.

Not likely. If they can pull off a Final Fantasy rated E+10, chances are it's going to stay that way. I mean, it's not like the Harry Potter movies that go from PG to PG-13 or anything...

If they were to rate it T then they would loose money. And money lost means that they will be disappointed as well as shocked because the KH games have been such a good revenue alongside the FF games as well. So I very well doubt that there will ever be a T rated KH since they would lose money from not having that certain age-group.

    It is possible.

You're right. I have a six year old nephew who plays Halo day and night. Younger kids (particularly 7-10) would still go out and buy the game, despite the T rating if there is one. Hey, I'm only 14 and I play Grand Theft Auto, even if it's not that big of a deal. But kids younger than me play that game, and I'm not talking 13 year olds. I don't think the rating really matters. I guess it all depends on the parents' decision or opinion.

Personally, I would really like atleast the next Kingdom Hearts game, or possibly the game after that to be rated Teen. If you haven't noticed, a huge majority of the people on this site and throughout this world are teenagers and play the game. I say that Nomura should aim for the teens, since most of that age group plays the game. That's just my opinion on the situation.

I actually think it'd be interesting to hear one of the characters curse. Especially Sora. :speechless-smiley-0 That'd be strange. When I watched the CoM cutscenes in English Sub I was surprised that he even said "hell".

However, if Nomura did decide to go through with it, he could lose some of the fans. And this could greatly affect the outcome of the next game and the work on the future games.

I agree with both sides on this particular subject, but I preferebly support the side that thinks the T rating should have a go. It just sounds more interesting. Come on. Are two or three curse words really all that bad?

It might be a little intense, but I doubt it. Disney's involved, so I doubt it'll get that far. The worst that might happen is if Maleficent announces that she's about to use the flames of hell.
