I've been wondering if anyone here has played a square game they regret playing or if anyone knows a square game they wouldn't play.
For me I regret playing The 3rd Birthday. It is a good game but.........
I didn't like the ending. This game was suppose to give Aya a come-back. Well how the hell are you going to do that if you killed her off and it turns out we weren't playing as Aya at all!
I kinda regret playing re:CoM because I like the original better (dont get me started with this one and originals are always better anyway).

I wouldn't play Final Fantasy IX for some reason (I dont know why, I just dont like it).

Eh The 3rd Birthday's story was confusing to the max. Didn't regret it though. Still play it sometimes. Maybe playing the first two will help me with the story. I won't say I regret playing RE:CoM even though I never finished it. Stupid Larxene. I feel the original was better as well. Also was my first KH game. I just liked being able to see all my opponents and every second you weren't attacking a heartless in RE:CoM they were attack and if they could break your card they would no matter what. I'll still try to think though of something.

    Final Fantasy III
    Chrono Trigger
    Final Fantasy X-2

These games were very uninteresting, slow and had bad gameplay mechanics. I was actually looking forward to FFIII, but I ending up having to force myself to finish it. And when I got close to the end, it glitched on me. I had to start all over since I couldn't escape. That made me hate the game and never go back to it.

FFX-2 had an unbearable story and no Tidus or Auron to play as? I quickly returned it.

Chrono Trigger didn't pull me in at all. I played a lot of it, expecting the game to be as good as everyone said it was. But I only ended up being disappointed.

Unlimited Saga and Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings.

The story for both of them was just plain horrible. Saga could have pulled it off.
That said, the CGI cutscenes in Revenant Wings were good. The music was OK. But, the story...

Unlimited Saga is the most disappointing game I have ever played. I should have known there was something wrong when it only cost $10 new...

The Bouncer. I bought it because it was $3 and I liked the character designs. I think I got roughly a half an hour into the game. The menus were confusing, the save system made no sense at all, the characters were all incredibly whiny and unbearable, and the battle system left something to be desired.

I still consider going back to it just to see if the story improves and the battle system gets to be more fun, but I'm not sure I can handle another DOMINIQUUUUUUEEEE from those characters.

You are all going to hate me for this, but I must say it for myself:

FFXIII- Ok so the story is not that bad and the characters are ok, I suppose. I kind of think Lightnings personality is bland and kind of emo, Snow while not fully one, sounds like a guy who wants to get laid. The gameplay just didn't do it for me, it was too fast paced to any other FF I was used too, and I cannot stand the fact that if the person you are playing as dies, its game over. It was just not a good FF to me, I understood that Square wanted to try something new, but it kind of seemed like they wanted to mix JRPG's with WRPG's in the same game, it just didn't go together. Its not bad to experiment with a game, but there is a successful experiment and a failed experiment, this is one of the reasons I refuse to get XIII-2, and after hearing the twist in XIII-2, it makes me want to stay away from it even more.

358/2 days- Ok, first off, its not **** like I thought FFXIII was, it was just disappointing, let me explain why. When I first got the game, I was expecting the game to be about Roxas in the Organization, it started out that way, but than it turned it's attention to Xion, a character I thought we could use without. And the gameplay is fun, when you have friends with the game, if you don't than playing by yourself is the most boring and bland experience I have ever felt in a video game. The whole mission based thing was fine, if not over 87 percent of it took place in Agrabah. Than their was the missions where you had to scout and scan the worlds to know more about them, which I thought without a doubt was ******ed. The leveling up and equipping system was unique, but like I said for FFXIII, it was and experiment that was a failure, just to use the most powerful spells and abilities, I had to remember which ones to equip in the persist order. It just didn't work out for me, it wasn't complete ****, but out of all of the KH games, its the weakest. Oh and don't mention to me the "who else am I supposed to eat Ice Cream with?" line, I laughed my ass off when Roxas said that.

I've never heard of that game, but if you weren't that far into the game I would recommend giving it a second chance but if it annoyed you to a point to where you want to throw something at someone then leave it. The menus in FF XIII are still confusing to me even though Im a few hours in x_x
I think Axel would hate Roxas forever if he heard him say that if he was there or he would be all like "Umm..... how about me?" Lol

I think Roxas was being emo that time with Axel, more like "I like an unneeded character more than you!" type of thing.

Oh goody, another "Top 10" list opportunity from Krowley :)

    Final Fantasy XII
Don't get me wrong, Gameplay was good but the experience as a whole
seemed a bit lackluster. I actually enjoyed the DS sequel better.
One thing that really annoyed me aboutt this game is that
whenever I went to search for FFX, the clerk said it was out of stock and
showed me this instead. Somehow I just ended up disliking it.

    Project Sylpheed
I looked at the title and thought; "Cool, Pilot game."
Then I played it. Some elements are distracting and controls take too much effort.
Another problem I had was with the Cast. Not the voices, the characters themselves.
They just all seem so forgettable. Like a bunch of Manga stereotypes packed into a game.

    Mario Hoops 3 on 3
    Yes, its a square game.
Black Mage, White Mage and Ninja could basically beat any team once they've been unlocked.
Fun for a bit, then it just collects dust.

    FFCC: Crystal Bearers
Still can't believe how long it took to develop.
A few small perks, but I don't think it was worth playing.

    Final Fantasy XI
I would never pay for an MMO. No matter how good I hear it is.
Nothing really setting it aside from the Free MMOs out there. (Except the Chocobos I guess)

My god, the guy you play as is so damn slow!
Half the game felt like I was trying to plow my way through a crowd of people.
    (Or in this case enemies)

    Final Fantasy XIV
    Like FFXI.
Key difference is this MMO needs way more love to make it appeal to players.

    Exit DS
A remake. and i really regret playing it.
No matter how much I love a good puzzle game, the glitched made it feel like developers got lazy.
I also had to mute the game. The repetitive music and "HELP"s got on my nerve.

    The Legend of Kage 2
    This game was truly frustrating.
Both control and Difficulty wise. After the first few levels, its like you went from medium to ultimate.

It's exactly as bad as it sounds.

I heard it's one of the main Square series, but I think that it's too hard for me. Still, I deleted the file. This means... waste of time. B| Lol.
Maybe I play it again when I feel more like beating it, but that Valkyrie Profile 2 it's too hard for me, at least when I played, like 2 years ago.

Mine would be Ehrgeiz and Musashi: Samurai Legend.

I barely started the game (10 hours in) but so far it looks like it' s gonna be my favorite SE game this gen, at least for now (granted SE isn' t exactly at its best this gen so that' s not saying much). It' s not a masterpiece, but it' s far from being terrible. Sure, the graphics aren' t nearly as good as they could be, but there' s some poetic quality to the backgrounds and the musics are awesome. Gameplay-wise it looks ok, nothing mind-blowing but it' s not tedious either.

    A great game ? Really ?
I thought the story was fine (if we ignore the retconing bits that is), but the TPS gameplay was barely ok compared to your average TPS. Let' s not even compare it to Metal Gear Solid. This game would probably have tanked big time if it didn' t have "Final Fantasy" stamped on it.

Who just said "3rd Birthday" ?

Maybe I should warn you : VP2 is the easiest game in the VP series.
