A Scattered Dream

Riku grunted as warm water soaked him. He still manged to break down the door, and ran down the hall. "KAIRI!"

 

He didn't hear an answer from any of them. "Larxene did you hear what I said?" He was becoming frusterated. Do you have Kairi or not?" He disappeared and appeared before him.

 

Riku came to a sudden stop. "Get out of my way." He tryed to get through Demyx but failed.

 

"I have her." She told Demyx. Kairi was distracting, what with her struggling.

 

Axel was speechless for once in his life and nodded his head silently. However once he finally was able to regain speaking he looked at Xion. "What do you want me to do now?"

 

Xion looked away. She wiped her eyes clean of all emotion, before looking back at him. "Whatever makes you happy."

 

"Finally," he disappeared, portaling next to her. "Those guys are a pain in the butt," he helped assist Larxene take Kairi away. "If she hurts you I'll slice her again with my sitar," he showed the dangerous weapon to her.

 

Larxene smiled at him. "No, all we have to do is hurt Sora." She flicked out her knives and held one at Kairi's neck.

 

"I would be happy if I don't lose you, but I guess that is not what is going to happen. I was destined to lose Roxas and now you. I have already lost Demyx....and Larxene doesn't give a damn if I live or die. So I have chosen my destiny." He felt like he was going to cry, but stopped himself. He hugged her and then stepped away from her a few inches. He slowly leviated in the air letting his chakrams rise around him circling rapidly as fire began to soar from them dangerously. It was the only choice he knew as he sent out his power to a very high deadly level

 

"Axel no!!!! Demyx used his power to form a fountain of water that rained upon the fire wielder and held onto both of his arms. "What are you insane? You're not going to sacrafice yourself!!" Using his sitar he held it between him and the fire wielder. He didn't care if he got sliced or burned. He wasn't going to let Axel leave him.

 

Xion watched him, her eyes alert, all sleepiness gone. "What are you doing? Don't endanger yourself!"

 

Axel opened his eyes as they widen a bit surprised that Demyx was holding his arm trying to stop him. "Why do you care what I do? I have lost too much already." He was feeling the sitar weakeningly him and getting him wet as the fire began to fade a small bit with the water hitting it. He was slowly losing his concentration. He heard Xion say something, but it was hard to hear because of his concentration and his consciousness was slowly leaving him from the endangerment of the sitar slicing at him.

 

"Because you're my best friend damn it. You're my superior, I'm your underling and I would be lost without you," he whined weeping on his shoulder.

 

Axel's concentration from hearing the words and the crying from Demyx suddenly stopped as the chakrams fell to the ground. "Demyx.....I" Upon reflex of the stopping motion the sitar still spraying out water, began to weaken him strongly, but realization had hit him too hard as he lost unconsciousness falling to the ground.

 

Xion kneeled beside Axel, trying to find a pulse. "Oh Demyx." she murmured. She wished she had never been made, that she wasn't alive to cause this pain. "Can you help me get him up?" she asked Demyx gently.

 

Riku heard something going on up stars and went to investigate and saw Axel, Xion, and Demyx.

 

Xion looked up. "Riku!" she wanted to hug him, but her legs wouldn't support her, and Axel was still unconscious. "Are you okay? Where's Kairi?"

 

Demyx held Axel's head in his arms as he tried to revive him, getting him wet in the face hoping to wake him up. "Come on wake up! Don't scare me like this!" He yelled his head bent over as he fought his tears from falling.

 

Xion shivered, feeling Demyx' fear. She pushed it out, then put a hand on his shoulder. "He's gonna be okay." she whispered.

 

Axel felt the water on his face, but for some reason his body was not cooperating with him. He noticed Xion's hand on Demyx's shoulder and tried to stir to open his eyes. Only words were able to come out of his mouth. "Demyx....?" Was all he said as he was about to go back to being unconsciousness, but he was fighting it.
