A Scattered Dream

Sora quickly recovered and began to punch Demyx repeatedly.

 

Demyx placed his sitar in front of him and swung it again, his water pressure striking Sora in the face giving him a mouthful.

 

Kairi screamed out in pain. "SORA!"

 

Larxene held the girl, one hand over her mouth. "I'll kill him." she whispered in Kairi's ear.

 

Axel watched the others such as Larxene and Demyx as he was even more confused than before. Where did Sora come from and then Kairi. He looked at Xion. "What do you want to do?" He asked her wondering if she really wanted Kingdom Hearts open for real. If so he needed to know how to do to it. He was ready to cooperate this time.

 

Xion looked up at him, her vision slightly blurry. "I want you to be happy." she whispered. "I don't want you in anymore pain."

 

Tears started to fall down her checks.

Riku saw Kairi nd Larxene. "Kairi, no!" He charged them.

 

Axel could understand that, but he needed to know something else. "What do you want me to do? If you want Kingdom Hearts open then tell how to do it?" He asked sadly, but knew it might be the only way.

 

Larxene sighed, then lashed out at Riku, throwing a knife at him. "Let her go, Riku." She dragged Kairi out the door. "C'mon, Demyx!"

 

Riku nearly dodged it as it made a small scarth on his right shoulder. "Damn, you, Larxene."

 

"No! I won't let you take her from me!"

 

Xion closed her eyes again. "Sora needs to collect hearts, then it will open. Xemnas knows...." she shook her head, then looked up at him. "It's my present for you." she smiled sadly.

Larxene closed the door, almost hitting Xemnas. She pulled Kairi up the stairs toward Xemnas. "You don't have a choice." she called back to Sora.

 

Demyx looked at Larxene and then hoped Xemnas would assist if needed. "That kid is not going to quit," he held Sora back with his water. "Someone take care of Riku. Larxene do you have Kairi or not? Boss I think we have everything under control," he grunted as he brought his sitar up and across defending himself with it.

 

"What do you want, Larxene?"

 

"You are sacrificing yourself for me? Why? What would happen if I don't do this?" He asked Xion carefully. He was split on what to do now. He could aide the other members, but he needed to know what Xion wanted.

 

Riku took his keyblade and started breaking donw the door. "LARXENE, GET BACK HERE!" He yelled down the hall.

 

Demyx saw Riku trying to break through the door and he slashed at him nearly piercing Riku in the chest with his blade."Don't even think about getting her back. I'm surprised she hasn't passed out yet from blood loss. You remembered what I did to her right?" he sent water down upon him.

 

"Use her?" Larxene asked, sighing as the girl fought. "For the experiment."

Xion looked up at him, pain in her blue eyes. "Then I would die anyway." she whispered. "I can't get around it. I don't..want to leave..but I will, in the end."

Larxene sighed again. "And here comes the cavalry." she muttered, keeping her knives close.

 

"Is there no way to save you at all?" He asked feeling really sad now that she was discussing this with him. So it was true he was going to lose another friend. First Roxas now Xion. He looked at her keyblade. "The keyblade can take hearts, but so can us nobodies." He mentioned.

 

Xion looked up at him sadly. "I don't think so..." deep down she was terrified. Who knew what would happen to her after she left her body? Where she would go? She had a time limit, and she was scared, what she would miss when she was gone.
