A Scattered Dream

Demyx was taken a back and he grimaced when he heard Axel talking to him like that. "Axel calm down dude. It's not like that. Why are you being that way?" He wasn't sure what to say or do next for his mind was blank and full of questions.

 

Axel looked at Demyx as if there is hurt in his eyes. "Well, you think you can just run off on a date with Larxene and pretend I don't care?" He turned to look at Larxene. "You are the one who is making this difficult for trying to run away from me when we need to talk and you on beating around the bush. Larxene, just tell me what this is about." He heard Xion's comment, but he decided not to say anything else about it.

 

Demyx felt guilty for hurting Axel's feelings for that was one thing they both had in common. They both believed they could feel what it felt like to have a heart. "Axel I'm sorry. That was not my intention." He let go of Larxene's waist and went over to hug Axel. "I don't want you to hate me."

 

Xion pulled away again. "Can I speak to Larxene?" she asked, looking up at Axel and Demyx.

Larxene watched impassively, her emotions hidden.

 

Riku stood alone. He looked at his feet. 'Why am I always alone?'

 

Xion tapped him on the shoulder. Riku couldn't seem to see her. I'm still here. she said. The othe half of her was still watching Axel and Larxene and Demyx.

 

Riku turned around, and blushed. 'Did you hear that?'

 

Xion nodded, hugging him. I'll stay here, as long as you want me. she smiled, hoping he could see it.

 

Riku smiled back at Xion. He could see that big smile that she always had. 'I know that., I just got worried for a sec.'

 

Axel was surprised to get a hug from Demyx, but he let him. He didn't know what to say, but the hug felt kind of nice. "Demyx....I just don't want to be left alone...L lost Roxas and I don't want to lose anyone else." he told him. He looked at Xion, but not did not let her go just in case Larxene might try to kidnap her. "Yeah go ahead and talk with Larxene."

 

Hold on a sec she concentrated on her other half. She was still with Riku, she just didn't move. "Alone. Please Axel. She won't kill me." she looked up at him, pleading with her eyes.

 

Riku frowned. 'Ok, whatever. Like I have nay control over it.' He said the last part to himself.

 

Axel nodded his head. "Okay, fine, but becareful of Larxene," He told Xion though at first he wasn't going to let her go, but the begging had gotten to him.

 

"Thank you." Xion smiled up at him, and slipped out his arms, walking unsteadily to Larxene. The two girls went away from the guys, whispering.

 

"I understand Axel," Demyx looked down at the ground feeling like a fool for making him feel bad. "Roxas was a great guy," his voice trailed off as he remembered the younger member. "I wonder what happened to him? I don't blame you for wanting to save Xion. I would like to save her too if I can."

 

Axel looked looked as well thinking about Roxas. He sighed as he rose Demyx's head to make full eye contact. "Roxas...fused with Sora....That is why I want to save Xion, I don't want to lose her also. I just don't know what to do about it. Here we want our goal, but there are rumors that something might happened to Xion if we accomplish opening Kingdom Hearts." He replied truthfully.

 

Larxene held Xion up slightly, whispering furiously. Xion said something back, her voice quiet, but urgent. Larxene shook her head. "No." she said, a little loudly. Xion glanced over at Axel and Demyx, then turned back to Larxene, saying something quieter. "Promise me." Xion said, glancing back the the two guys. Larxene sighed, then nodded her head. Xion smiled, then hugged the larger girl, then walked back unsteadily to Axel. Larxene followed, shaking her head.

 

Riku sat down on the transparent ground, and ran his finger across it.

 

Xion tripped, her mind flashing back to Riku. I'm so tired. she whispered, leaning against Riku.

 

Riku put his arm around her, and pulled her closer. 'What are you tired of?'
