A Scattered Dream

Demyx could only watch as he kept his mouth shut, not realizing why she was fighting Axel. "Man what gives?" he eventually opened his mouth to speak. "Xion don't attack Axel."

 

Sora continued to fight through the neoshadows. "Aw, c'mon. These guys don't give up."

 

Demyx stood in between them with his arms extended out. "Come on guys. We're friends and friends don't fight each other."

 

Axel stepped back as he looked at Demyx and then at Xion. "Xion said that Xenmas created her. Though I want to know what was his objective."

 

Xion shook her head, trembling, then backed up, her hands over her mouth. She wasn't supposed to tell, not to tell...She half expected Xemnas to show up behind her and kill her then. He certainly had the power to.

 

Axel looked at Xion and noticed that she was being quiet now and it was almost disturbing that she was hiding something from him and Demyx. "You need to trust your friends so just tell us the truth." He replied to her.

 

She backed away, her eyes wide and horrifyed. "I wasn't going to tell, I wasn't supposed to tell." she whimpered, holding her wrist. I wasn't supposed to..

 

Axel sighed as he stepped forward towards. "I know part of it, so it makes sense to tell the rest. How can I understand if you stay tight lipped?" He sighed. "Please don't make me hurt you." He muttered he had not put his weapons away after all.

 

Xion watched him, her eyes gathering tears, but defient. "Go on. Torture it out of me then." she said, clasping her shaking hands behind her back. "I didn't tell Larxene, I won't tell you."

 

Axel tried to remain calm as he clenched his chakrams tightly. "Why not?" He asked. "What is this big secret?" He rushed at her his weapons aiming at her.

 

"Guys, I wish there was some way we can figure this all out without violence if need be." Demyx tried to reason with the both of them the best he could. He hated confrontations.

 

She dogded to the side, barely missing. That was one of her few talents, anyway. "It's okay Demyx, he can hurt me." she murmured, her hair brushed away from her face. Her blue eyes blazed, but she reined in her anger.

 

Axel growled in frustration and thrusted at her keyblade trying to knock it out of her hand with the use of his weapons. "Why are you being so difficult and just tell us the truth?"

 

Xion dodged back another step, keeping an eye on her surroundings. The last thing she needed was to get backed into a corner. At this range, his attacks could be deadly, even if he didn't mean them to be. She slid the keyblade under his chakrams, trying to incapacitate him, but didn't answer.

 

Axel noticed this and easily ducked as he then thrusted his chakrams down on the keyblade spiraling the chakram so that it was trapped in between it. "I thought that we were friends?" He answered.

 

Xemnas appeared bfore them yet again. "I thought you had this under control. But you can even control each other."

Sora finished off the neoshadows. "Finally. These guys don't take a break." Sora headed for the Dark Depths.

 

Xion's eyes teared up at this. "We are." she whispered, holding onto the keyblade. "We are." Friends. she dropped the keyblade, watching it vanish. She looked up at Axel, her eyes dull. "Go on then." If he wouldn't, Xemnas would.

 

Axel watched the keyblade vanish before his eyes as he starred at Xion and noticed her eyes looked dull. "Xion? What is happening? Why did your keyblade disappear?" He also turned to Xenmas. "Tell what is going on with her or else you can fight your own battle with Sora." He replied lowering his weapons, but he stood in front of Xion just in case Xenmas might hurt her.

 

Xemnas looked down and sighed. "I created Xion. She's a replica of Sora and hold his memories deep within her. I made her just in case Sora no longer became relyable. But what's happening with her now ... I'm not entirely sure." Xemnas paused and then turned. "Also, Axel. You better remember to treat your superiors with respect. Next time, I might not just walk away. So, are you leaving or not?"

 

Axel's eyes widen a bit as heard the truth from Xenmas, but he didn't think any less of Xion she was still his friend and he would protect her. "I will protect you, but you must come with me." He said soflty to her. He summoned a portal and went through it as he looked at Xenmas. "I am on my way sir." He replied in a loyal manner.
