A Scattered Dream

"I understand, but vegetables should be fine." He waited for his food to come when his stomach began to protest. "As you can tell I'm very hungry," he felt his stomach.

 

Xion giggled, nodding. "I am too." she smiled, still tracing the table.

 

Demyx tapped his fingers on the table when something came to his mind. "Xion, I'll be right back. I need to use the restroom," he said while getting up to his feet.

 

Xion smiled quietly. "Okay..." she waited till he had left, then took out her arm, checking it over.

 

He made his way to the restroom and locked the door so no one else could get in for the time being. Summoning his dancer he gave orders to it. "Go find Larxene. I wish to speak to her," he gave his command to the dancer as it left in a hurry.

 

Larxene appeared a few minutes after. "What do you want?" she sighed.

 

"I want to talk to you without you being so hostile," he noticed that they both were in the restroom, but it was the only place to keep it private. "Now what is really going on? Last time we were getting along just fine and then you left looking all sad and have been cruel ever since," he crossed his arms waiting for her to speak.

 

Larxene sighed, looking down. "I don't like her. Xion. She isn't like us, she's constant trouble, she can't fight or fend for herself or others. All I see when I'm looking at her, is a mistake. A liability willing to get someone killed."

 

"That's not true," he whispered harshly almost shoving her, but decided against it. "She hasn't done anything to you and I'm going to protect her no matter what. Are you jealous of her Larxene that she is getting attention from me or something? Well I see her as a little sister and I'm like her older brother looking out for her and I don't mind it one bit," he heard knocking coming from the door on the outside. Glaring he shouted to the impatient person. "Occupied wait your turn!"

 

Larxene hissed, balling her hands into fists. "I don't care what you do! She's going to get you or Axel or Roxas killed and then it will be too late and I can'
t save you and......" she stopped, then backed away. "Forget it. If you don't kill her, I will."

 

"But she has done nothing to you. She is not going to get either of us killed Larxene. Why are you thinking like that?" he shook her the only thing stopping him was the another growl from his stomach causing him to blush. "Man that was embarrasing."

 

Larxene stepped back into a portal, disappearing. "I hope everything turns out all right Demyx, because I care too much for you."

 

Looking away he felt a tinge in his stomach, afraid he may never be able to have her as she admitted to care about him. "Just go and if you care so much about me like you say you do you will leave Xion alone," he sadly mumored walking out of the bathroom, past the angry man who was waiting his turn and back to the booth where Xion was.

 

Axel stood waiting his turn on the menu for some odd reason he didn't want to eat anything. He was getting paranoid that Xion or Roxas might get kidnapped by Larxene or Hades again. He saw Demyx return. "Where did you go?" He wanted the truth and no lies this time.

 

"I went to the restroom Axel," he sadly mentioned. "I spoke to Larxene there since it was private and told her to leave Xion alone."

 

Axel observed Roxas and glad he was safe as he eyed the noturne suspiciously as he was getting the part of the story that he wanted to hear. He only hoped his friend would not lie to him. "What did she say to you?" He added trying to show some sort of concern.

 

"She said that if I don't kill Xion she will and that she thinks she is useless and a liability for you, me and Roxas," he looked down at the table. Slamming it with his fist he had determination in his eyes. "But I won't let that happen even though she does care about me like she said. She nor anyone else is not going to hurt Xion."

 

Axel was speechless for a few moments to get this kind of information to circulate in his mind. "Do you seriously believe that? She has to be jealous of Xion. Why because she isn't the only girl anymore. Larxene will say anything to turn us against each other. She only cares for herself," He showed his teeth in anger to express his point. "Remember she was a traitor in Castle Oblivion so I know what I mean." He slammed his fist as well. "She will get her hands on Roxas or Xion, she will die if she tries again," If I have to sacrifice my life to make sure they are safe, I will do so." He admitted looking away for a moment.

 

Xion closed her eyes. So many emotions.........."Stop, please." she murmured, covering her ears. It did no good, but it made her feel better. "She's not jealous..."

 

Roxas relaxed where he was at, taking it easy. He looked over at Xion, then back to Axel and Demyx. He was staying quiet, listening to them talk this out. He let his eyes wander to the floor and then was lost in his own thoughts.
