ok i do not mean to sound harsh
but the way i see it
is total_noob is making this HEN for 6.35(oddly enough when 6.36 is already out in three titles already)
that will allow you to use 98% of homebrew
now i am ok with that and he makes sense but what doesn't is what him and wololo
    are adding to the story
this is now going to be a vsh exploitable HEN that you can get through the xbm
    ok thats not bad
but then he is saying it will allow you to use iso loaders and other things which means popstation etc
this is starting to sound like cfw
he has perfect access to the flash's
there is going to be a vsh menu
this is honestly starting to sound like custom firmware
well if Sony isnt fixing it because this exploit was since 6.2 then why would the creator of HBL (wololo) help him
it would make all of his work useless. and he isnt doing large contributions he is just testing it.
This doesn't seem right the cards don't add up

It's not a true CFW until it's fully loaded from a cold-boot. I consider the ChickHEN+5.03 GEN to be a HEN.

Ultimately, a CFW will be loaded into the RAM, as usual, assuming it doesn't run into setbacks.

For the record, popstation is NOT an ISO loader. It's a plugin for POPS (the built in PSX Emulator made by Sony) that lets you choose which version of it you use. Not an ISO loader.

    Well either way...
And I agree with Pika. Unless it boots directly on startup, it's not CFW.

So, in summary, there's no hope for me getting TRUE cfw on my 3001.

still, i don't think that HEN thing is that big a deal. i'm not entirely sure what it is, but if it's what i think it is: it doesn't take long to activate, i remember one way of activating it was to just look at a certain picture file that's stored on the PSP. you only have to reactivate it again if you fully turn off the PSP, which i don't do, i personally just sleep my PSP everytime.

It's theoretically possible, but no efforts are being made to, and it's not something worth holding out for. So in theory, it can be done. In practice, no one has or will do it.

Sony removed .tiff support so that an exploit like that couldn't be made. So it can't be a tiff exploit.

The 5.03 HEN was a TIFF exploit though. Then they removed TIFF support in later versions.

Yes, they removed TIFF support because of that exploit. As a result, this new exploit is extremely unlikely to be a TIFF exploit.

Oh, we're discussing the new exploit.

I wouldn't put it past them to add it in again though. They took it out in earlier firmwares for the same reason, then put it back in 5.03.

It's just a matter of saving money, especially if you want a hackable PSP which goes for roughly $100.

I'm no expert on the matter despite having Custom Firmware myself.
But... I don't think you should take the risk of installing CFW on a PSP 3000, it was really only safe to do so on a PSP 1000 and some other PSP's if I remember rightly, if you do attempt, it may brick your PSP so I would advise against it. I do however agree with one of the posts on the first page which tells you to wait for the CWcheats to be made usable on official firmware. This is probably your best (and safest bet for now)
    Hope this helps :)

There's the HEN, and the CFW Enabler, which work perfectly, provided you don't screw it up. The difference is that if you do screw up, there's no recovery, while there is recovery for the PSP 1000 and non TA088v3 2000s.
