Awright, i'm plannin' on gettin' a PSP Lite for Crisis Core, but i'm gonna be gettin' it from the US. So, what i'm wonderin' is can i buy a seperate power adapter so i can use it in the UK without havin' to use one of those converter adapters? (you know, one that you attach to your plug) Or, can i use my sisters power adapter (It's for the old chunky PSP). Incase you're ownderin', i don't care for UMD's.
I'm not sure if the US adapter is different from the one we use in Norway, but I have to use a converter adapter since my own charger is based upon Hong Kong/UK. (I guess the salesman bought it cheap from there) It's not any trouble with it at all imo, should buying a whole new adapter be excspensive then you are better off just using a converter. Have you done a search on sites that specialize in games and equipment? Or asked in stores?
Well, if you're buying a PSP from anywhere outside your continent, chances are it'll come with an adapter that isn't suitable for your country's voltage. If you want to buy a separate adapter that can be used on its own, you'll probably want to buy a Universal AC adapter that does automatic conversion so you don't have to attach any additional transformers to the adapter your PSP came with. I personally agree that I'd rather buy an entire new adapter that can do this. Play-Asia sells one on their site for ~17USD +S&H, and it covers just about all regions and does automatic conversion. So it's a simple plug-and-play procedure and can be used anywhere in the world (since the automatic conversion will immediately change the adapter's voltage to that of the country you're in).
