Do mermaids and unicorns exist??

I think they do! What are your thoughts?

 

I don't really see how that's philosophical, just mythological.

 

Well they have to exist in some form don't they? I mean if I asked you to describe one for me, you could do it. They may or may not have a material existence (absence of evidence is not evidence of absence), but we have no way of knowing for sure if our own existence is material. So it is entirely possible that unicorns could have a more tangible existence than we do. Unlikely, but possible.

 

I do not believe in mermaids or unicorns. BUT DRAGONS ARE ANOTHER MATTER.

 

Do you believe in Fairies, because if you don't believe in Fairies, they die.

lol. I believe that at one point, dragons did exist in a sense. I'm not talking the whole fire-breathing treasure-hoarding deal, but I believe a form of creature existed that, through rumor and tall tales, came to mean what it does today.

Summarizing Mythology

That's basically how every mythical creature has came to be. Unicorns, pegasi, dragons, fairies, pixies, gryphons, and more. They all started as a normal creature and through time and hearsay they became creatures of lore. Then again, maybe they all existed in the past.

I'd like to believe in unicorns but I find it hard to see such magical and majestic creatures in this cold and logical world. Fairies on the other hand I believe in (please don't die fairies!!) I thought I saw a dragon once, flying above the clouds during a storm, and I still believe it was (this thing was massive). It all comes down to whether or not you actually believe in something. It's best to believe in something that doesn't exist than deny the existence of something that does. There's really no harm in believing.

Some bizarre documentary I saw on Animal Planet believes mermaids exists...it was bizarre...
