So, I was Just Reading Online that Hideo Kojima and crew, are planning on making a real live action metal gear solid movie ..if so what are your thoughts of this idea? In my opinion, I think it'll be neat, but if you took ALL of the cut scenes from MSG3, MSG1, MSG2 & MSG4 in that order, you pretty much got a movie right there just fill in the blanks between the cut scenes .. am i right? .. Here's a link to the interview and there is a video at the bottom of the page.

Old. And the idea is lame. It'll work if Kojima is involved, but otherwise it'll be just another failed attempt at making a movie out of a video game.

And it's basically a CGI movie already, in itself.

The Japanese have alot of paitence, it's just the way their culture works. If they wait outside a Krispy Kreme and it's a really long line, and there's another Krispy Kreme on the other side of the street that's nearly empty, they're just going to keep waiting in line. Same goes for MGS. They have alot of paitence, so they will sit around and watch the cutscene until they can get to the gameplay. And that's not a bad thing, it just means there's a greater understanding of the plot in the game.

how sure are you about that? it doesn't seem logical for ANYONE to do that.

Very sure. It's just not logical to us because our culture is different. Another example: In Japan, soda machines sell bottles in 3 different sizes. small, medium, and large. Each one costs exactly the same. Why? Because they will just buy what they need at the moment, whereas we would buy the larger one because it's a better deal.

If they do make a movie i hope that its a stand alone that explains the inbetween or something like that it definatly has the chance of being totally frikin awesome but if someone stupid is incharge then it might turn out lame... so i guess we will just have to see what they do and hope for the best :)

    Ewww.

    Just ewww.

No MGS movie for me, thank you. Don't pull a RE: Degeneration on us, Konami. As much as I enjoyed it, being my first exposure to the RE world, it was a pretty shoddy movie IMO. Just another CGI made to rack in dollars and to please a fanbase.

    I agree...

Videogames are not meant to be made into movies...

Just like movie-videogames usually suck A LOT as well.

Theres a balance. If anything, if mgs became a videogame its true what Darkness said, it would just be to please a fanbase.
