I've been trying for a long time to figure out the answer, but failed. The same with my friend, who told me the riddle. Some say it cannot be solved, but I've heard some others say that a girl solved it. OK here it is:

There are 2 horizontal rows of three dots each, one row below the other. Like this:

    . . .
    . . .

You must connect each dot of the bottom row to the other 3 dots in the other row. But, none of the lines must cross over another line (the lines can be curved as well, not just straight lines, btw). Also no line can cross over a dot to get to another dot. The lines must go directly to the dots.

    Anyone could help me out?

The first one on the bottom goes directly to the middle one,the middle bottom one goes through the gap between the middle and end dots on the top and you curve the line around to the first dot on the top and the end one at the bottom you curve it over the end one on the top and connect it from behind.
So simple and yet so hard :)

Thanks, but I don't think you completely got it. You should have 9 lines and not 3; 3 lines for each bottom dot. Each bottom dot connects to the 3 dots above.

    Connect the dots? Easy.

the bottom left dot is connected to the top left dot because they are both cousins, now the middle dot and the bottom left are in love and the bottom left and top right went to high school together.

the middle bottom has a crush on the top left, the middle top and the middle bottom are brother and sister and the top right was tutored by the bottom middle in calculus.

the bottom right and the top left are child hood friends, the bottom right is the top middle's nephew and the bottom right and the top right went after the same girl one year in high school.

done, all these dots now have connections.

I was wrong the last time.Curve the line from the first dot around the first dot on top and connect it from the back.Bounce it over to the next dot and the next dot=3 lines.Do the same for the end bottom dot but on the inside=6 lines. With the middle dot curve it around the end dot on the bottom and connect the line to the right side of the end dot on top.Bounce that around and conenect the line in the middle of the top middle dot,in between the two curves from the bounces already made then, drag the line back around so that it's back to the start but keep bringing it back until you reach the gap between the first and middle dots.Bring the line through there and connect the line to the left of the first dot, not hitting the previous line=9 lines.

That was a bit more complicated but it works and it's just a bit of logic.

The last part with the bottom middle dot is wrong. The are already two lines made from the bottom left and bottom right dots lines' that block the bottom middle line's way to the top middle line. If you draw it you'll see.

No there isn't.I never connects the bottom dots to each other.I ment that the end bottom dot linked up the bottom of the top dots not the bottom dots.

sorry thats not it.Once the line connects to the first dot it jumps to the second dot and continues.that is the same for under the top dots.

Oh now I get it. But that cannot happen, they must be 9 seperate lines.
