A Life to Lead ^_^

Cloud brought his sword down when he realized Aerith was no longer moving. A sudden stroke of realization struck him which caused his mouth to become dry and his eyes to water slightly. No she couldn't be gone. This was to soon. Leaning his sword against the couch, he kneeled to her side and shook her side. "Aerith! No! Aerith!" He kept shaking her gentely hoping to see her eyes open. "Aerith you can't go yet. Fight it!" He was now shaking, his breath quickening and his face now placid. "Tifa! She can't be gone. We have to help her." No," he gripped where she was lying and buried his face in his arms. "Zack...." he cursed under his breath. "Not yet. It's to soon." He was forcing himself to be strong, but his heart was crushed into tiny pieces, guilt striking him like a hammer.

Demyx now with his eyes on Axel watched other people drop their bags and run for the hills. He heard several screams and did his best to remain calm not wanting to give anything away just yet. "People are crazy here," he smiled and joked with his friend, still keeping his gaze upon her.

 

Before she fell, Gex clutched the limp body, and tried to stop the bleeding. If only his own blood could be spilled. Craning his head, he looked at the young girl, seemed to be torn asunder by the knowledge of the life he just took.

"I'm sorry child, you weren't supposed to get involved. If anything, you were supposed reap the rewards of these events."

 

Roxas glared at Gex as he was hesistant to attack now since he heard Xion mentioned that the blade was poisioned. "What the hell is wrong with you?" He called out. "Gex! Why would you take out an innocent life especially to someone who did nothing to you?" He wondered if all nobodies were like that and if they were he was glad that he out of the organization. He went over to comfort Xion the best that he could.


Leon's mouth dropped opened as he saw that Aerith body was limp and blood was dripping from her stomach. His accusing eyes meant the nobody and this was what he was afraid of what could happened. "Aeirth!" He fell to his knees she was a very dear friend to him as well. "Why did this have to happened?" He wondered what Tifa thought about this as well.

Axel eyed Demyx's curiously but he still kept his gaze on Elena as well. He understood the nobody language as any other nobody as they were the only kind that could comprehend it. "She must be his partner then," He added chuckling at the thought that an reincarntated Larxene and Axel were partnered together. It was kind of strange because in Castle Oblivion it was the same way in some twist of fate. Then he began speaking telpathically with Demyx. The universe was very strange now a days. "In my old life I had a cell phone and I know how to use it, but if that is the code then I would not risk being exterminated. We can't judge these Turks until we see them in action. If she attacks us then she is the enemy. If one thing I have grown to know is to give people the benefit that meet you the benefit of the doubt. I am trying this approach first. So don't jump to conclusions just yet. Larxene is not stupid she won't join them. Even if she and Reno have some kind of connection now, it can't replace her existance with us including our knowledge or memories of being nobodies. Besides the fact she wouldn't fit in. Though with the thing with Larxene is I wouldn't even being speaking to her as she ignores me completely anyway. I think she really hates me," He admitted in his nobody langauage though it had some kind of regret in it. He was aware of people acting crazy as well. "It must be free dessert day," he joked with Demyx.

 

Gex shook his head at the traitor's remark. He didn't know everything that was being planned. Not a thing at all about how they would be able to come back later on.

"You don't understand number XIII, I have killed no one, it was her."

 

Xion trembled, the emotions were tearing her apart. She felt Tifa's arms around her, heard the other woman speaking to her. She felt gratitude to the other woman. She was trying to stay calm, trying to help. Taking a deep breath, Xion spread herself slowly, calming herself down. She had to keep it together. "She was my mother." she whispered, not totally meaning physically. "She was my mom." Tears came to her eyes. "I want my mother back."

Tifa held the girl tighter, then gently picked her up. "Dont' talk to her." she ordered the strange man. "You have no right, none at all. I will kill you if you touch her." She gently shouldered Roxas out of the way, taking Xion outside.

 

Trying to appear as a pacifist, Gex bowed his head deeply. This truly was becoming too much. If things continued as they were he'd get killed, and fast.

"Again, I am sorry that things had to go as they have. I will try to return her as soon as it is allowed."

Opening a portal behind him, the masochist began to make a slow escape.

"If you want to kill me, any of you, then follow me."

 

Ragingwaters being the elegant dancer she was, spiraled up the steps locating Xemnas's where abouts. It was vital to inform their master of what was taking place. "Superior I have some more information you must know." She hoped he would make his presence known. The other dancers were at her side for they wanted to know what was taking place as well.

Cloud couldn't even think straight. He was in mourning for the one he cared so much for and now she was gone. Wiping a tear from his eye, it fell upon his lap as he glanced up at Leon seeing that he too was overcome with grief. Standing up, he held his head high, the edges of his eyes pink from crying. Tifa was right. There would be time to mourn for her later. "Tifa take Xion and Roxas out of here and away from the perimeter. Don't ask just go." His voice was firm as he called over his shoulder. He picked up his buster sword and held it in front. "You will pay for what you did." He stepped closer to Gex, his eyes narrowed devoid of any sadness now replaced with revenge.

Demyx laughed a bit after Axel made the joke as he was making the situation lighter and hoped that a fight wouldn't break out. "Hey I got one. Maybe they all freaked out, when the dessert was no longer free and they are going to form an angry mob." He nudged Axel playfully in the arm enjoying being in his presence. "Oh man that would be to die for." Glancing at the girl he averted his eyes back on her to see if there were any reactions.

 

The superior sat in his room, contemplating the next few moves in this game of chess he was playing with this world.

"What information? Is number XV following through with the plan?"

Gexlion nodded. the man was brewing in hate, just as he was supposed to. Such dark feelings couldn't come from just one man. Closing his eyes, he stepped backwards through the portal he had made.

"Then make me pay, even if I have done nothing."

 

She shook her head. "I pointed XV to my master, but somehow they never met up for something else happened. My master instead, brought forth lots of people to him with his music and there was this other woman talking to him something about munny. He agreed to this though I do not know the reason, but I'm sure he can explain to you when he comes back if you summon him that this, but there is something else you must know. I want to know your thoughts of what I told you first before I continue of the other vital thing you should know."

Cloud knew that Gex was coaching him, getting him to fight and he could be walking into a trap if he wasn't careful. Being the level headed man he was, he stopped and startted thinking about his decision whether to follow or stay?

Demyx glanced up at the sky to see that it was getting late, but the sun was still out so it must of been 5pm or 6pm? He watched the shadows creep around the area, consuming the light that was in the path,for the sun was going to set in an hour. Laughing softly, his chuckles stopped and he licked the inside of his mouth, for his mouth was dry.

 

Tifa gently guided Roxas out, still carrying Xion. She closed her eyes, then opened them. "Xion, are you alright? He didn't hurt you, did he?" She murmured, setting the small girl down. That look on her face was scaring her, and her eyes were so empty...

Xion pulled herself together, trying to smile. "No, Roxas saved me." she whispered, reaching her hand out for him unconsciously. She closed her eyes, but saw the blade piercign Aerith through, her body falling to the ground. Tears gathered, but they wouldn't, or couldn't fall. She took a deep breath, shakily, then breathed again. In and out.

 

"He what?" Xemnas folded his arms and looked down at the nobody with his amber eyes. Demyx truly was a nuisance as of late. He should have eliminated him long ago. The water mage did bring him two...no, three potential hearts, but he still avoided harvesting him. Fortunately, number XV was picking up the slack in that department.

Exiting the portal from the murder scene, Gex kneeled down in a dank alley way inside hollow bastion, clutching what was left of the woman. Gently, he closed her eyes. She seemed to be sleeping, dosing in the listlessness of oblivion. Judging by her face, you'd think that it would be something pleasant, There was no need to dwell on that however.

placing his hand on the woman's chest, Gex began to coach the heart out of it's lifeless husk. In the span of moments, the delicate treasure was pulled from the woman's ribs. Glowing, radiating, this key to ressurection made the shadows dance and all color to fade to white.

"My apologies ma'am, but this is neccesary. I hope you can forgive me, when you get back."

 

While Demyx was nudging Axel and they both had their focus on one another, Elena slipped her hand inside her suit and quickly entered four digits into the phone.These creeps could 'sense' or whatever, pfft, but when it came to vision then they had no advantage, so they couldn't see what she was doing if they were too busy acting fruit with one another.

As if I've got to answer to these two ..your still killers, don't act friendly with me.. she thought, retrieving her hand from her suit once the eyes were diverted back towards her.She didn't want to take risks and have them question her ..that wasn't her style, Reno's maybe, but not hers.For that amount of time spent standing she kept her lips sealed and didn't say a word, pretending to stare off into space without noticing they were there.However, they didn't know she was waiting for a chance to escape, and when Demyx looked up towards the sky she spun around quickly and took off towards the edge of the surface.Jumping, she landed on that stone ledge and kicked off, dropping a few seconds before landing on a brown roof below.Taking a moment to breath in and get her legs back, she leaped down from the roof and took off.

She hoped Axel was as naive as his partner was, but regardless she'd get away.She stayed in the light and made sure not to go down towards a path with only one direction to go in where she could be caught.Elena wasn't aiming to get to the meeting now, she was merely aiming to get away.Rufus DID say she couldn't engage.

 

Larxene looked at the man before her in the sickliest way possible. He was small and skinny, and actually looked like he needed food more than her. But whatever, he can go elsewhere for some grub if he has to. This table was hers, and if it came to it, would her name written all over it.
In his blood, that is.
"Hey. You. Move." The Nymph ordered, clicking her fingers as she pointed away from the table he sat at, as if the male where an animal of some sort.

The man looked up, slightly taken back by Larxene's attitude. "I would have you know, that I reserved this table yesterday, and am paying good money for it-"

Larxene was suddenly behind him, her body in a position so that one of her multiple kunai could slide out and across the man's skin discreetly. "I said..." She muttered in his ear, her voice stinging like poison to his brain. "...Move."
She grinned, feeling the man tremble underneath her firm hands.

Looking up at the woman, the frail man swallowed and rose from his seat in silence. With a slight nod towards Reno, he placed his hat back on his head, and his jacket back onto shoulders, and left without a word.

"...Problem solved." Larxene grinned, taking a seat at the well-presented table.

 

Of all people to choose, she had to have picked the weakest, old guy there.It pained him to see Larxene threaten the guy out of his seat just because she wanted it, but he stood there and watched, something a Turk shouldn't do at all.But he did it ..he let it happen, and now the man was already moving out for the door.A Turk like him was never one to damper the enjoyment ..but Larxene's idea was just bad ..he'd have to help her with that.

His eyes plastered to Larxene as he heard an incoming waiter stop beside him, Reno forced his vision to the waiter, making sure he wouldn't get too uppity.

The waiter held one menu and looked from Larxene to Reno, confused."Wasn't there a single man sitting here a few minutes ago?"

"He had to leave ..he handed the table over to us out of the goodness of his heart.." he implied heavily on the last four words and he looked to Larxene, hoping she'd take the hint.Bringing his left hand on the waiters shoulder, Reno nodded to him."Take care of my lady for me ..trust me, you won't have any other choice." he nodded and jogged out towards the door to catch up with the guy.Thankfully he hadn't gotten too far.He was only down the street ...poor guy."Hey, you!"

The man looked over his shoulders, recognizing Reno from the restaurant."I don't want any trouble!You got my seat, what more do you want?" he stopped and questioned, finding himself a little braver without Larxene around.

Stopping in front of him, Reno dug in his pocket for his wallet and retrieved it, flipping it open and flipping through the various layers.

Coming to the realization that Reno intended to give him currency, the man shook his head and looked away, continuing to move forward."That money won't give me back my reservation.."

"Maybe.." Reno pulled out a clean fifty and pocketed his wallet before patting his shoulder again to get him to stop."But you'll get something good to eat with this ..I know it won't replace that reservation, but it'll be enough to get you something good to eat around here ..go on, take it." he placed the bill in the mans hand.

The man looked from Reno and slowly looked to the money.Didn't seem like a trick ..and his eyes were genuine enough.He may have looked like a trickster but when it came to it, this guy was pretty nice."...Well..thanks,son ..that was very kind of you." he nodded to Reno, receiving a grin in return.He bowed his head slightly and walked off.

"Take it easy!" Reno waved at his back and turned around, heading back inside.He and Larxene needed to talk.

 

Larxene watched Reno go and shook her head. "The guy needs to toughen up..." She mumbled to herself, before tilting back on her chair and placing her feet on the edge of the table. She scowered the menu, before heavily sighing and shaking her head once again.
The place had no good champagne. How sad.. So much for getting totally shitfaced that night, then.
On the other hand, the red wine served here sounded decent enough to get her to actually relax a little...
"I want the red wine. Have two glasses here within 5 minutes or I will have to get some myself." the nymph ordered, looking up at the waitor. "And you don't want me to have to do things myself.. Well? What are you waiting for? Go already!" With a roll of her eyes, she went back to scowering the menu of food.

 

Once he stepped back inside, Reno's eyes locked on towards Larxene and the waiter, who was now rushing from the table to fulfill Larxene's wishes.And her feet ..on the table, in a place like this?

Well, not as bad as it could've been ..he expected the place in flames by now.

So, Reno went off, traveling towards the table and grabbing his own seat, moving it over so that he was just beside her."Back.." he muttered to her, sitting down comfortably in his seat before taking in the serene song playing in the far corner by an unknown jazz band.Romance was likely a theme for the night ..and he had never seen a band in this place before either, that was new.But to the point now, he had to get to Larxene positively."Hey.." he looked over towards her feet and took them in his hands, setting them down carefully and releasing her from his grip so she didn't feel threatened at all."Can we talk for a second ..?" he asked her, as if he needed permission.

 

"What the hell is-" Larxene began to question the name of a dish on the menu before her, before she tilted back forward onto all four legs of her chair. She was now looking directly at Reno, and into his eyes. She sensed a tense aura about him, which caused her eyes to narrow a great deal.
"...yeah, whatever. Spill what you gotta say, 'cause I am starving.." Looking back down at the menu as a false distraction, the Nymph attempted to take interest in the rest of the menu as she prepared for what Reno what about to flame her about.
Or, what she thought he was going to flame her about.
What topic she had expected to arise, was that of Demyx. Which was one she did not want to discuss at this precise moment. Not at all.

 

"..I want you to never abuse your power like that again.That man ..out of any rich, close-minded punk here, didn't deserve to be kicked out like that." Reno's tone wasn't cruel, deep or demanding ..it was a simple request from the bottom of his heart that he hoped she'd follow his request.He noticed her looking at the menu and knew he had to get her attention on him for this, otherwise she may not take it to heart.He raised his left hand and gently placed it under her chin, diverting her head towards him."Look at me ..I'm not demanding you, or ordering you like some people in your group might do ..I'm asking you as my girlfriend, and someone I care about ..to never abuse your power like that again."

 

"It's not as if I caused a riot, Reno." Larxene retorted, her forehead creasing into a frown. "It was just a natural action for me to do so, and I wouldn't have done it any other way even if I was under any other circumstances.." She dropped them menu onto the table, and took his wrist away from her chin slowly, being careful not ot let any static bring harm to his soft skin. "I could have been less civilised, and a lot more like my cruel, malevolent self. But, I didn't want to spoil people's evening - paticularly yours - too much, hence the reason I took it easy on the threats." She took a sip of her wine, and looked at Reno again. The Nymph rolled her eyes and laughed slightly. "What I'm trying to say, is that it is nearly impossible for me to be any kinder or gentle than I was there. I liked the position of this table, and it was my goal to get this table. I acheived that goal, and now I am rather content with myself." With a smile, she took another large mouthful of her wine, finishing the glass off completely before Reno had even touched his.

 

"But by achieving that goal, you rid an innocent man of a good meal here ..you stole his right to eat ..and you can't find anything wrong with that?" Reno asked her, ignoring the large wine glass she gulped down.He'd get to his later, but for now he had to try and get Larxene to realize that anything was possible."If it's nearly impossible to be kinder or gentler ..then I want you to do the near impossible, and show a little bit of good to people who absolutely deserve that privileged."
