A Life to Lead ^_^

Staring upwards into the tinted window from the cobblestone street, A figure lurked, analyzing his objective. Tightening his hood over his head, he thought about what he was about to do. His hands would be stained today with dark crimson. In return, he whould not be paid in his proper currency. How wasteful. This wasn't how he practiced killing, not like a machine.

Clenching his pale fists, he opened a portal into the windowed room. Passing through, he looked down upon his target, warm and safe in a soft bed.

It was indeed her, the woman in pink with the long braid of hair.

"Greetings, Aerith" He whispered softly to the sleeping woman. He really didn't want to do this, but it was to benifit his collegues, and in turn satisfy himself.

"Sorry it had to come to this, but there is something I need to borrow from you."

"..Was that so hard to say?" Reno questioned with a small grin, not upset with the fact that she was thinking about that loser.Well, due to what she told him in those three days he classified the guy as a loser.A wimp, a jerk, a guy who needed other people to defend him.Pitiful excuse of a man by the sounds ..and he snickered when he first heard of Larxene kicking his little marbles."So what's up?..you talk to him or something?" he asked, placing both hands behind his head,

 

"Yes, we talked.." Larxene explained, swallowing before she continued. "..And I want to talk to him some more. I could tell he wanted to say something to me, but it just wouldn't exit his damn mouth. I want to know what he wanted to say so badly." Plus I also want that phone back... She shuffled slightly, and looked back at Reno again. "..so..I guess that rant wasn't what you came for?"

 

Aerith tried to get up fast, she really did, but her body was still heavy from the healing she had given Xion. She stumbled, holding onto the couch tightly, her green eyes sparkling, but scared. "What do you mean?" she asked, just as Xion's door opened.

"Aerith, I heard voices..." Xion stopped, looking at the stranger in fear. The future rushed at her, but she was good enough at reading it to know what it meant. She trembled, trying to keep herself up right. "Go away."

 

From his hand, a stake carved of bone appeared. He pulled back his black hood to reveal his tattoed forehead, and his unruly hair. He truly did detest this. At the very least, he thought she should see her killer's face.

"All I need is your heart. Actually, I need to borrow it, to help a few who have lost who they are. Your heart is filled with enough kindness to do that."

 

"..Well,I was worried about you, seeing as your phone is gone now ..if you want another, ask, don't be afraid to." Reno would let her talk to him if she wanted.As long as there wasn't any physical contact, entirely unnecessary contact, then he would let her talk with any guy she wanted.But this Demyx guy ..would probably be the emotional ****** he always was and end up being a real pain in the rear."Look ..if you like the guy, then dump me ..I'm not one to play games..." he shrugged his shoulders.He wasn't gonna go through a love triangle, as it was pointless and silly.

 

"Xion, go back to your room." She ordered, trying to stand. She didn't want the girl to see this. Stepping in front of Aerith, she weakly pulled out her staff. "Then fight me for it."

Xion shivered, then jumped at the stranger, pulling out her keyblade. "you can't take her!" she cried, dogding by the stake to stab him.

 

Trying to avoid the blade, Gex sidstepped the young girl and watched, with a detatched interest, as the blade punctured the woman's stomach. It seems like the blade was hungry for blood. Reminded him of someone else, used to anyway. Traceing the brunette's face, Gex let his eyes droop, to try to lock out the pain he saw it hers.

"It appears I didn't have to Ma'am. Such a shame too. you might have even given me something I wanted."

 

"Don't assume things, which you don't have any evidence to support your assumptions." Larxene answered coldly, glaring at Reno with cold eyes. "Don't think that I like him, just because I want to talk to him. Don't ever insinuate such a thing." With her right fist clenched, she exhaled deeply to release the anger that had been summoned by such a thought.

In the back of her mind, she was nodding.
But that part of her was very wrong. Very, very wrong..

 

He didn't assume ..he merely allowed her permission to dump him if she wanted to.He'd tell her but he didn't wanna get her pissed off any more."Sorry ..do you want me to leave you alone for a while? As hard as that'll be, your wish is my command." he smiled to lighten the mood a little.Of course what he said didn't mean he was a complete slave to her will, it merely meant he'd do what she asked of him if it was to help her cope with the situation.

Not like he actually would leave her though..

In an instant his hands were torn from his head and were now holding her waist.He picked her up and tossed her up a few inches before catching her again."Come on ...I was hoping to take you to dinner, but I can't eat seeing such an unhappy face."

 

She kissed him. Her lips were soft, but held all the emotion that Larxene could sustain in them. Her hands were gentle around his neck, and slowly, she held them there as her lips fell apart from Reno's once again.
"Now, dinner sounds really nice right now. Along with some wine and music, it might just cheer me up." With a slight giggle, the Nymph actually hugged Reno's head and closed her eyes. "Now, go my stallion. Take me for some damn food."

 

"Stallion, eh? ..why not call me ..a noble steed?" Reno suggested as he tossed her up slightly,slipping one arm under her legs and the other wrapping around her back to carry her in a bridal fashion.Now this was the Larxene he enjoyed seeing and hearing about."All right ..I'll think of a good place ..and if there is a line, I've got a plan on how to get a table much quicker ..unless you'd rather scare them silly, babe?" he planted a small kiss on her lips as he headed off towards an Olive Garden.

OOC: Sorry for real world restaurant but I'm sick and can't think of anything else.

 

"Scaring them silly sounds good to me." Larxene smiled, looking forward in the direction they were walking. Well, the direction Reno was walking due to her being carried. It was actually rather relaxing, getting carried for once. "Hurry up, man, I'm starving and need a drink." She giggled, a small glint appearing in her eyes.

 

"Sorry, but the Stallion needs to make sure the rider is in safe hands ..and believe me when I say these hands will keep you secure." Reno then began to think hard about the trip for some food.He didn't like the idea of taking advantage of Larxene's intimidation abilities ..but they were both hungry in a sense.He'd be sure to pay in secret, even if Larxene could score them a meal free.He was in love with a demonic angel, but he still had to hold on to his own ways: Only pay the bill if you've got money to spare.

At other times he could sneak off, or make up an excuse to sneak by the bill ..but this time he had plenty of money to spend.

Before he knew it, they were already stepping inside the nice, cozy restaurant.He took in the atmosphere easily enough and moved over towards the one who took reservations ..except this reservation would be made now, and that table would be taken now as well.Man, if Elena saw this ..what would she think?

Ah well, not like he's never done this before.

"All right, your up.." he whispered in her ear, stopping in front of the feeble, sickly man who would be a victim of Larxene's will.If it got bad, he'd be sure to stop her.

 

Leon only smirked as he ran up close to Cloud. "Just because you can exceed me in speed doesn't mean that I can't keep up with you," He added. "Though fine, you should slow down again," he mentioned.



Axel was taken back by the hug and it was almost like Demyx was the same nobody he knew before the Noturne was influenced by Cloud. This was the side of his friend that he liked. The affection though caused the red head scratched at his fiery spikes to try to understand this odd nuzzling behavior that Demyx was showing towards him. It wasn't a problem to him, but it was different. A hug felt kind of nice or this rubbing. The flurry sighed as he gave Demyx a small smile as he returned the hug and then let go as he patted him on the shoulder to show some kind of comfort. "I am sure you can handle this by yourself. My only concern is that I don't trust Cloud like you do. It is not in my nature to be trusting to anyone. Though I am glad that you found your calling," there were other things he wanted to ask like with the thing with Larxene, but he decided against it. "Anyway, how do you know that I feel left out?" He asked his concentration on him, but for some other reason his eyes would stray in the crowed wondering if in fact someone could be watching them. His instincts were kicking in drastically now. He licked at his ice cream this time savoring the sweetish salty flavor as the flavoring returned to his mouth. In the corner of his eye he starred at the ducks that were passing ice cream out. No, they weren't a suspect, but he wondered of how they had come up with such a delicate flavor which he thought only was sold in Twilight Town. There was someone else there and he could detect it. The one thing he hated though was to be spied upon. Though his next choice of action would be how to confront the person. "Come out of hiding!" He ordered gesturing with his hand. It was that he decided he wasn't going to be confrontational unless the spy or spies would give him a reason to stay hidden.


Roxas got up from the bed because he heard some kind of tenseness as he opened the door and peeked out. He looked at the stranger and he recognized the guy already. "What are you doing here?" He then glanced at Xion and pulled her out of the way so that she wouldn't get hurt until he saw the blade puncture Aerith's stomach. "What! Aerith?" His eyes widen, but then a glare was put in its place as he kept Xion behind him. "Get some bandages from the first aid kit." he told her softly as he was ready to reveal his keyblade and fight Gex.

 

Ragingwaters being the elegant dancer she was, spiraled up the steps locating Xemnas's where abouts. It was vital to inform their master of what was taking place. "Superior I have some more information you must know." She hoped he would make his presence known.

Cloud smirked back and did indeed decrease his speed so Leon and him would be at the same rate. He remained that way with him until he reached the home and his instincts told him something wasn't right. "Leon cover my back." He crept in through the door, his sword brandishing and saw before him the hostile situation. "You!" He glared his eyes at Gex as he saw Aerith bleeding in her abdomen. "Something tells me you did this."

Demyx was relaxed and was thankful that Axel was making him feel comfortable around him. The last thing he needed was an upset fire wielder going after him for giving him a hug. No, Axel didn't understand either and was only acting as well which was why he returned the hug. When Axel mentioned Cloud's name, the melodious nocturne thought it was best not to talk about his friend in front of him. Cloud was dealing with other matters especially with the fact of losing Aerith was hard enough and last Demyx saw Cloud was when he was with Tifa. He left them alone to speak, as the musician had other plans that turned out to work in his favor. Unforuntely, the mullet haired nobody was unaware of what Gex had done to Cloud's friend. Getting back to answering Axel's question he was about to answer when he tensed at seeing the fire wielder's demeanor change from friendly to hostile as he was ready for battle. Using his nobody senses, he felt the same presence and stood alongside of his superior, the underling being the backup if Axel needed it. "Yeah I sense someone is watching us too." He answered his friend and scanned the area with his azure eyes. "You know you can't hide forever."

 

Once Reno ran off, Elena immediately wanted to catch him and stop him, but it was no use.Reno was just too up to bring down at this point, and he didn't want to stop him from seeking out his girlfriend or anything, otherwise she might be considered jealous or something.She pulled out her cell phone from her suit again, just in time to hear the two killers call out for her.Now she realized how close this place was.Perfect.She quickly walked off in the opposite direction, using the buildings to keep her hidden."Hey, change of plans ..let's meet at the last spot we were all in." she said once Rufus picked up his phone again.He was a little annoyed but complied anyway, which was going to be good for everyone."Reno isn't coming by the way ..he's out running an errand or something." shutting the phone, Elena looked over her shoulder as she stepped past another building.She wanted to be sure she wasn't followed.

 

Axel waited a few minutes as he was going to give whoever who was hiding to show themselves, but after the minutes had dragged on, the flurry patience had worn thin. "It looks like the coward is to afraid to come out of hiding, or they think they can get away easily. Come on Demyx," Noticing the crowed of people the flurry knew he had a couple of options he could address. He could terrorize the people, but it would give the wrong idea. He didn't want an confrontation at any time or have any more enemies, but his instincts was still weary for who was eavesdropping. So instead he jumped onto a builidng and then started walking across them by leaping to one or another. His eyes scoping out the people as he was looking for someone who stood out among the crowed. Though the people wore different fashions of clothes a person with a black suit stood out to him. Especially since the blonde kept looking behind her back. She must be the one who was spying. The outfit was familar to him since he remembered that Reno wore something similiar except more casual with it unbuttoned. This outfit seem more professional looking. Smirking he jumped down right in front of her in a graceful fashion. His emerald orbs carefully studying her as they set another look when her visage seem strikingly similar to Larxene. A bit taken back, but then he found his voice using it causually friendly and non threatening that he could. "So you are the one who is spying? Tell me are you a friend of Reno's by any chance?" He felt if he mentioned the name Reno this woman wouldn't judge him as an enemy.

 

Listening to his superior's order, he watched the flurry of dancing flames bound from one rooftop to the next. He was fast, not the quickest member, but his agility was like no other. Demyx wasn't to far behind as he held grace about him through his methods especially when he fought. The other eyes of others were keeping an eye on them as they went about their daily lives and some people who knew who the guys in black cloaks were quickly ran away fearing for their lives. Demyx paid them no mind, as he had caught up with the red haired member whom was now talking to a woman that resembled Larxene. It was strange to see this woman dressed in guy's clothing, but Larxene dressed as them so perhaps she was the only woman in her group as well. Tapping him on the shoulder, Demyx recongized the uniform to be similar to Renos's and it made him suspicious of her. He had remembered last talking to Larxene when she was interrupted by a phone call knowing it was Reno by her mentioning his name. It all made sense now. This woman with the similar uniform had to be part of Reno's group. Thinking back to what Cloud had mentioned about Reno when they spoke in the alley, he had mentioned something about Turks. Could she be one of them? "Hey her outfit remembles that other guy you were talking to before." He exclaimed and waved his hand about. Now getting serious, his azure orbs gazed upon the emerald ones as he began a telepathic conversation that only nobodies understood. "Axel, I don't trust this woman. Cloud told me something about Reno being in a group known as the Turks. She is wearing something similar to that Reno guy who is obviously seeing Larxene. You won't believe what I discovered. When I was talking to Larxene, a cell phone went off in her pocket and she had the balls to answer it in front of me and guess who was on the other end of the line? Yeah it was Reno because she blankly said his name in front of me and told him to hold on. You and I both know that anything that remsembles a human device is against the code of the Organization addressed by the boss. I hoped she took my advice for if anyone found out and told the boss he would be suspicious and see her in a different light. This Reno character is bad news for what if he convinces her to join him? We can't have that. And this woman you're talking to must work with him somehow. We'll see what she does though and if she attacks us you and I will both silence her for good." Demyx ended the telepathic conversation by glancing away as he kept his eyes on her mainly to see if she was armed or not.

 

Aerith gasped, then crumpled to the ground, blood pooling beneath her fingers. She tried to hold on, tried to, but in the end, it was futile. They say your life flashes before your eyes, and they were right, in part. She saw memories, people, places, things she had done, and would never do. At the end of it, she saw a hand reaching out to her, a smiling face with blue eyes. Zack. She took his hand, feeling warmth envelope her as she stepped into the light with him. Her time was done.

Xion whimpered, nearly falling as her vision clouded with tears. "Don't let the blade touch you, Roxas." she whispered numbly, leaning heavily against the wall. "It's poisoned." It like she could feel Aerith leave, and she hadn't even gotten to say goodbye...the thought made her knees buckle. She gripped the wall uselessly, trying to hold onto what emotions she could.

Tifa appeared, and kept her eyes averted from Aerith's body as she knelt next to Xion, cradling the small girl gently. There would be a time to mourn later. Right now she needed to get Xion out. She had promised she would look after the girl, after all. "Roxas, there's nothing you can do." she murmured, her eyes turning to Cloud, pain evident in their depths.
