A Life to Lead ^_^

The dancers looked at one of another and nodded their heads. "Yes come with us back to the castle as another one of us is already there. You will get the details there." They disappeared out of sight.

She nodded knowing how her master could be at times. He had a mind of his own even though others said he didn't. "As you wish. I apologize for my leige's actions. He is young and has a whole another way of thinking, but he means well. I'm sure he has benifited in the organization in some way."

Demyx smiled as one of the coy fish swam up to his finger and nibbled gentely on his black glove. This sensation made him feel almost whole as it felt like a human would experience. Taking out his weapon by having it appear, he set it in his lap, the other end sticking off to the side as he began to play softly. The water began to sway back and forth gentely matching the tempo of his each varied note he sought after and repeated.

Cloud stopped and caught his breath as he sat down on the ground in a small garden. Seeing them reminded him of Aerith and it only made him sadder.

 

Gexlion shook his head at the dancers. They didn't understand what he was supposed to do. His mission was of the highest priority and had to be done now.

"I cannot do that. I have orders from the superior."


"Just makes sure you bring him to hollow bastion. Do not fail me Nobody."

Tifa sighed. Same old Cloud. She had followed him, but stopped when she met someone familiar. "Aerith.." she smiled at the other girl, hugging her gently. She looked like she had lost weight, and her eyes were worried instead of peacefully calm. "How's the girl?" she murmured. She wanted to know about Cloud, but he was busy with other people, people she didn't know. She would worry later.

Aerith murmured a quick update, then lead Tifa inside. She was glad to have the other woman back, even if it meant being uneasy. She knew Tifa had feelings for him, and Tifa knew that Aerith was already taken. They both knew of Zack, and Tifa had told her what she had known of him before he died. Smiling, Aerith got Tifa something to eat, then checked outside, feeling uneasy.

Xion listened to Roxas' quiet breathing, then sat up quietly, hearing movement. She peeked out the door, and saw Tifa. This was different. Tifa was so....colorful, was the only way she could put it. So many emotions, memories, feelings...it was like going outside after being kept in for months. This one was different. But...she tried out Aerith, and found that it was the same way. What the hell? Maybe it was because she was pregnant....she wavered, unsure of whether to find Demyx or go to Aerith. New people, even ones she had heard about, like Cloud and Tifa, scared her.

 

The dancers did not hear what Gex had replied since they had already left and had reached the castle. There they appeared before the Superior themselves. "Isn't Number XV here already? We told him to meet with you," one of them spoke to Xemnas.

"My master is already at Hollow Bastion and..." she was interrupted by the other dancers and she swung her head around to face them.

"Number XV is at Hollow Bastion too. We just spoke to him and we assume he is on his way." One of the dancers interuppted.

He played not feeling satisfied at all with how it sounded and then placed it away, the water returned to its normal status as the fish gathered around and poked their heads up. "Sometimes I feel like you. Going around and around in circles and getting no where in my life," he spoke to them like they were his only friends at the time. "Roxas won't speak to me still, Axel is somewhere, Larxene hates my guts, and Cloud is concerned about Aerith." He leaned his head against his arms and didn't count on the fish to talk back to him. "Hopefully all goes well with my audition. It's the least I can do to help Xion and Roxas." He pet one of them, his hand moving across the red scaly small fish.

Cloud took one of the flowers into his hand and gazed upon its beauty like Aerith. Taking a breath he blew onto it as the pedals fell off the stem and flew into the breeze much like Aerith's spirit would soon leave. "Aerith..." He huddled himself in the field and was forcing himself not to shed a tear as he had to be strong, but inside the child in him was balling his eyes out not wanting her to leave him.

 

After putting Tifa in the last spare bedroom, she stretched, then walked into her garden, smiling slightly. "Cold night.." she murmured, not sure to who. Her flowers were still blossoming...one small reminder of who she was when she was gone. At least they woudl have some memories.

Xion poked her head out the door, looking for Demyx. She called for him gently, before getting dizzy again. Walking out into the street, only half aware of what she was doing, she sat on a bench, her head in her hands. "excuse me..." someone touched her, and she jumped. "Are you alright?" Oh god, the thoughts coming from this guy. He was bad, bad bad bad. She knew if she ran, she wouldn't make it. "I'me fine." she whispered, sending for someone, anyone.

 

Leon struggled a bit as he slowly comprehended on opening his eyes until he thought he saw the shadow of an familar sadistic red head and then shut his eyes. He was in an nightmare right now, or what seem to be. When Axel had knocked him out he sent some kind of fear in him as well. It seem to real as if the flurry was basically a killer substaining on taking lives of anyone he cared about. The fire wielders chakrams impaling his close friends and showing no mercy. Some darkness must of drawn in him over the past few days and was now unwinding as a threat now. The slashing in his dream was seem real and reminded him of his first encounter with this demon. Shaking his head and hands clenched sharply at his side he pounded his fists on the bed roughly as if trying to get out of this horrible dream. Hopefully it wasn't part of the future.


Axel closed his eyes letting his eyes set to watch the sunset again for who knows how long. It is true he spent a lot of on the clock tower, but he would also sneak back to his own home to get some sleep. It was the perfect esape to avoid drama and so forth. He also wondered how Larxene and Reno were doing at their place, and thought of visiting them, but it seem risky. Shaking his thoughts out of the idea he recollected his thoughts on a near by poster. It was crumbled on the ground, but he could make out the idea of the paper. Almost recently it dealt with a skate boarding challenge to win a large amount of munny and immediately the red head thought of Roxas. He knew that his best friend would love to do something to earn money besides his current job. However, he could not go back yet. He was fighting his blood thirsty instinct and wasn't going any place to endanger his friends. He hadn't gotten hearts in three days and his soul was craving the fight for them or anything that might come in his way to destroy or kill. Holding back on this was a problem at times, but in his peaceful place it was getting easier. It was another reason why he was being drawn out in solitude and knew it was the best thing right now. However with an ice cream stick sticking out of his mouth, he slipped it out as a sudden growl had immerged from his lips when he noticed a dancer in his presence. Rolling his eyes at the lower nobody he refused to stand up from his sitting position, but turned his back to face the creature. "What brings you here?" He asked the dancer. Without thinking he had summoned his chakrams as if to threaten to harm it. The flurry knew that his assassins were off gaining any information on some other nobodies.

 

Xemnas shook his head, almost amazed at the how his orders were misread.

"No, the mission is in hollow bastion. I am merely telling you to make sure your master and number XV make contact directly. He was never to come here for he already had his orders. It seems failure is quick-footed amongst my ranks.

 

The dancers were well aware of what Axel could do and they backed away not wanting to get hurt by the chakrams. "Our master was just wondering where you were at and if you were safe."

Ragingwaters hissed at the other dancers that had interuppted her and then brought her attention back to Xemnas. "Our orders shall be followed with no mistake for errors. I will see to it that Number XV and my master meet right away. Is there anything else?" She asked taking a step back so not to be to close to the Superior.

Cloud's senses were brought to attention when he senced another nobody on a bench. Standing up from the flowers he headed to her direction and saw a stranger with her. "Xion are you all right?" He asked going up to her. To the stranger he gazed at the person. "Who are you? You're not bothering her are you?"

Tapping his fingers against the fish, he made his fingers twitch creating small ripples for the fish to swim through. Being satisfied with that, he took his hand out and wandered away from the fountain. Upon humming a tune outloud, his keen senses pointed out Xion. "Why is she outside? I thought she was with Roxas?" Demyx asked outloud as he came into view of the display. There he saw Cloud at Xion's side and was starring at a mysterious visistor.

 

Xion shivered, slowly standing up, and peeling his hand away from her shoulder. Her blue eyes wide, she took Cloud's hand. Scared as she was of the warrior, she was terrified of this man. "Let's just go." she whispered, taking another step back. A wave of dizziness caught her, and she rubbed her forehead with her hands, then, with a jolt, slowly looked back up at him. "Cloud...he wants to..." she swayed, the future throwing itself at her. "Aerith..."

 

Xemnas turned his back to the dancers, treating them as the nothings they were, as all nobodies were. Glancing up at his moon, he seemed to smile through his eyes.
"Be swift and precise. You're dismissed."

 

"As you wish," Ragingwaters and the others disappeared in search for Demyx and Gex.

Cloud caught her from falling over since she was out of it. He looked at the stranger and then brought his attention back to her. "Aerith? What about Aerith? Tell me more." He had her sit down on the ground so she wouldn't fall over.

Demyx rushed over when he saw Xion sitting on the ground and her appearance didn't look to well. "Oh man what happened to her?" Demyx lay his hand on her forehead and created water through his palm getting the area he touched moist and cool.

"I saw her swaying back and forth and then she was mentioning about Aerith. I wonder if this stranger has anything to do with this?" He glared at the unknown individual.

"Huh?" He saw the person also and he kneeled down to her level and released more liquid on her face to keep her cool. "Wait a sec... I remember reading something in the book and during the first few months women experience morning sickness they call it, but it is almost noon." He looked at the sun's position in the sky.

 

Xion shook her head, desperate. "Aerith..." she felt like she couldn't breathe. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw sparkles, blood red. That wasn't right, that wasn't right at all. She felt something in the back of her mind, and shoved Demyx away from her, just as the stranger blasted the spot she had been at.

Tifa ran out the door, hearing something in her mind. Aerith had taught her that trick. She barrelled into Cloud, trying to move him away from the other man. Sure, he was more muscled then her, but she was moving faster.

 

Demyx fell over on his side just where he was standing before the blast was fired and he didn't know what happened after that until he got his bearings. He shook his head and his face grew pale, his eyes wide as saucers as he imagined the worse of what happened to Xion. Gasping he crawled over to her and screamed. "XION!" He froze wondering where Roxas was. "Roxas!!!!" He called desperately for the younger keyblade wielder. Xion needed help and he couldn't protect her and fight off this stranger at the same time.

Stumbling a bit from the impact of Tifa's body he caught himself from falling over and rubbed his arm where she had struck him. Imediately he saw the man and knew he was here to harm those he cared about. Grabbing his sword, he held it against his body to deflect any shots that would be fired.

 

Xion whimpered. It hurt, but not as bad as she had thought. She could feel warmth pooling beneath her fingers, and was surprised to find she was bleeding. "What......" she gasped as several images flooded her again, and curled up, fighting to keep in control. Her head pounded and she heard voices, people. What was this?

Tifa slowly got to her feet, her eyes on the man. She grimaced, then pulled her gloves out, slipping them onto her hands. Fighting now. "Cloud, I'm' going to help get Xion to Aerith. She needs help." she murmured, her lips barely moving. "Please don't die out here."

 

Ragingwaters soon found the one she had been looking for and appeared before Gex. "You are to meet my master. That is the Superior's orders. Go find him now."

"Roxas!" He cried out once again. Where the hell was that guy? Didn't he know what was going on? Thinking fast, the melodious nocturne huddled his body over Xion to protect her getting her blood on his own cloak. Snapping his fingers, he brought his servants to ward off the villian as he summoned his sitar once more ready to bring on any damage. "Kill him!" He ordered pointing to the stranger. Summoning a water wall it spewed over them, the thousands of gallons spraying upwards to offer some protection. The dancers were cautious with the opponent and soon found themselves kicking the stranger in the air and beating the living daylights out of the intruder.

"No! He's mine!" He shoved his way in front as he watched the dancers beat the guy up. "Once they are done, he's going to regret ever hurting anyone. Tifa you do what you can to help Xion." He twirled his sword around and flexed his muscle as his right hand steadied the huge blade, the left hand acting as support.

 

Tifa gently touched Demyx on his shoulder. "Cloud can take him. Let's get her to Aerith." she murmured, sounding calm. She had seen this thing before. "You carry her, I'll make sure the way is clear." she continued, beckoninig. "Come." she turned and took few quick steps to Aerith's garden.

Xion slowly forced her eyes open. "Demyx?" she whispered, her blue eyes bright against her pale skin. "Demyx, I feel funny. There's so much blood...." she pulled her hand back, her eyes wide as she studied her own blood.

 

Gex nodded. It sounded like something the superior would order. This wasn't a trap, at least it didn't look like it. Hopefully he would get a few more scars by the end of this mission.

"understood. Take me to your master immediatly, we don't have time to lose."

 

Yuffie wondered into the room where Leon slept and touched his forehead. She waited for him to wake up.

Leon woke up in a sweat and rubbed his head. He didn't have time to think of the nightmare he had been experiecing. Getting out of the bed, he stretched his arms and went into the bathroom to clean himself up and take care of what he needed to do. After that, he was all refreshed having the scent of wild breeze on him. Heading out to the back of the house, his senses alerted him to something that was wrong. Running to the scene and with the gunblade in his hand he stopped and saw the stranger. Without hestating, the burnette met up with Cloud and stood by his side.

Yuffie joined the fray and smiled at Tifa. "Hi Tifa! Anything I can do to help?" She questioned her.

Axel smirked as the dancers were indeed afraid of him and the malicious glint in his emerald eyes brought life into his eyes. He was ready for a challege and would meet it with going back to Demyx and the others. He needed to check on Roxas anyway to see how he was fairing. Disappearing before the nobodies he appeared and was shocked to see so many things happening at once. Leon was now awake and standing right beside Cloud, Demyx had water surrounding him and was protecting Xion, but where was Roxas? Seeing the stranger, Axel waited for the dancers to have their fun with him.

 

"Very well." She led the way and skidded towards the town where she had a feeling her master's presence was near by. She saw water shooting up to the heavens it seemed like and she pointed in that direction. "He is over there."

Cloud nodded his head glad that Leon was at his side and glad that he was well. He was concerned for his friend, but now he saw that he was ready to fight at his side. "Leon we have a situation on our hands. That guy over there fired at Demyx and I and shot Xion instead. If it wasn't for Tifa I would have been shot. Help me take this guy out."

The other dancers let the man fall knowing he was not a theat anymore and was badly injured. Seeing the flurry of dancing flames they knew he would finsh him off.

Demyx turned around when a woman had touched his shoulder. Not knowing who she was he nodded after she had mentioned Cloud's name and thought they those two knew each other. Starring at the poor shape Xion was in, he nodded and lowered his water allowing it flow on the ground like a fast stream, but not a raging current. "I know he can. Lead the way. I'll make sure nothing happens to her." The young nobody did not see that Ragingwaters had pointed him out to Gex as his mind was occupied with helping Xion.

 

Xion struggled to stay conscious, her mind wavering. "Demyx..." she was happy he hadn't been hurt. "Please...." she gasped, then doubled over, pain lancing up her stomach. "Where is Aerith?"

Aerith looked up, sensing something was wrong. Tifa burst through the door, explaining everything in a calm voice. She had seen battle, this one. Aerith nodded, then opened the door, looking for Demyx. Something was still wrong..
