A Life to Lead ^_^

Aerith leaned against the counter, palms pressed against the cold counter top. She sighed, small strands of brown hair framing her face. Her braid was flipped over one shoulder, to keep her cool. Ignoring everything back around her, she reached back out, trying to touch that force of life.

Xion pressed her face into the pillow, biting her lip. Stupid stomach. She felt like complaining, but knew it would make everyone worry. Sighing, she slowly sat up, then grimaced. Dizzyness hit her again, making her head spin.

 

Larxene shuffled uncomfortably in Reno's hands. How strange... as soon as a girlfriend situation was mentioned, she recoiled into a defensive mind-set.
"I don't know what you mean by that..." she mumbled, her forehead creasing slightly as she looked at the red-head below her. It was odd, how this was leading. Very odd indeed.
Once, in the castle, she had spoken on the shoulder of a dear friend as to how love worked, and such, and what the consequences were once love was taken into account on relationships and such. Not once had she imagined herself accepting another being as her one love.
"When you are with someone and your relationship is in the dating status... You must love." The Nymph swallowed, averting her eyes to the sand below the two. Her voice drew itself to a mere whisper, as it had suddenly sunk in, and realisation struck the Nymph like a ton of bricks dropped from above.
"I don't understand love." She whispered, cringing in sheer embarrassment at her reluctant words flowing from her mouth.

 

Right when she finished her final sentence, Reno's lips met hers once more.His hands moved from her hips and up to her cheeks.He held that kiss for what seemed like an eternity.He was physically telling her to play this thing out for as long as possible.Finally he broke away, his forehead with hers, connected.Eye to eye, nose to nose, lips to lips."..Then let me help you understand what exactly it means to feel this way.Do you trust me?" he asked her.

 

With a gasp, an unexpected change had occurred within Larxene's mind. Suddenly, she was alone, with him. Nothing was surrounding them, except the warmth of his words that echoed in her mind, repeating themselves over and over again in a blurr of the emotions they flared.
Looking back into his eyes, her fast, sharp breaths made a slight gasping noise as her fingers ran through the back of his hair again.
"I do. Of all the people, I do trust you." she muttered, before letting he rlips mould into his once again.
How fascinatingly good this situation was.

 

Just before Reno could react, Larxene was at his lips again.The news that she did trust him, out of everyone else, made him very ecstatic about all this.Even moreso than he was before.It had taken time, well worth it might he add, before he had reached this point.He was there through the screams of frustrations, and there when she needed an ear to catch her statements, her harsh words, her anger ..he endured it, and right now Larxene was probably more at peace than she ever had been.

Allowing the kiss to go on for a few moments, Reno reluctantly pulled away, smiling."You know ...maybe we should get a room." he joked, bringing his lips to the right side of her neck and kissed it softly.

 

Demyx spent the whole three days watching over Xion for he was concerned about her. He even took the time to find a book about expectant mothers and was reading of the topic to be more prepared. There was nothing else he could do. Xemnas wasn't summoning him, Larxene was gone and good riddens to how she treated him. She'll always be there for him. Yeah when ice freezes over in Hell. Getting his mind back on helping Xion, he had got her some water to keep her hydrated. She wasn't feeling well and he figured Roxas would step up to the plate and help her, but he had not seen him. He hoped Roxas wouldn't be one of those fathers that left the poor mother to raise her child alone. He couldn't bear to witness Xion take on that kind of pressure and stress. Demyx decided he would be there for her whenever he could until Roxas decided to take over. Now seeing her lean up, he placed a cold compress to her head after he felt her forehead with the back of his hand. "Is there anything I can get you? Um a cup of soup, some saltine crackers?"

Cloud had followed where Aerith wanted him to go and he had spent his three days forgetting about everything to be with Tifa and find out as much information he needed to know concerning Aerith and why she had come. Cloud glanced at Tifa and sighed hoping they were getting somewhere. He had forgotten his anger towards Reno and Larxene and could careless about them at the moment.

 

Tifa glanced up at Cloud, then smiled slightly. "Lots of time lost, huh?" she murmured, rubbing her head. "So Aerith wrote me...." she sighed. "Are you okay?" Worry for Cloud had been a primary feeling in her life, it wasn't about to end now.

Xion smiled slightly, then shook her head, leaning it on Demyx' shoulder. "I don't feel like eating just yet." she whispered, closing her eyes. "Thank you, Demyx." Her stomach turned again, but she didn't show it. She didn't want to worry him.

 

Larxene giggled slightly, leaning back into her spot in the sand. There was a slight burn in her stomach, like a twist, but... different. Not as painful in reality than it was in context.
Looking at the man beside her, The Nymph slid her hand across the sand and held his. He was warm, like her, but that was due to blood. Said blood, being pulsed by a supple heart in his chest. He had a heart. He felt love. What did she feel?
Well she felt something, and that something she wanted to last forever.
"Reno.. I think I've found my perfect place." she whispered, closing her eyes slowly, and falling into a light sleep, a smile still lighting her features.

 

"Yeah I guess," he couldn't tell her the truth not after everything he had done. He wasn't so sure if he was becoming darker just because of Sephiorth now being a heartless and nobody. "Tifa what did Aerith tell you anyway?" He stood up and began to pace around the room.

He felt her head on his shoulder which made him rub her back. "At least stay hydrated." He got up from the couch and got her blanket in case she was cold. Thinking quickly, he found a bucket for her in case she couldn't get to the bathroom in time. "Geez where is Roxas? Isn't he supposed to be taking care of you also? Doesn't he know you're not feeling well and does he even care?" Demyx opened up the drapes for her to get some sunlight in the dark room.

 

Tifa watched him, her eyes wary. She didn't know what to make of him, he wasn't as quiet as he had been. "She told me she was going to die, and to come and visit. She also mentioned a girl, and you. Care to explain that?" she raised an eyebrow, then stood up.

Xion smiled weakly, watching him. "You would be a good parent." she murmured, curling up on the couch. She wished she felt better, but knew it wasn't likely to happen for a another day or so at least. Closing her eyes, she battled against her stomach, then raced for the bathroom, making it just in time.

 

With her hand in his, Larxene drifted off where dreams began.The mind. She was now beginning to rest lightly and as for him ..he was excited, especially from the recent make out session.There was little else he could do now but shut his eyes and relax as well.

Stepping into the house with pockets full of munny, Roxas ...god I don't even know where he should go anymore,Jesus Christ.Someone toss me a friggin' bone here.Roxas moved past Demyx and headed for the bedroom he and Xion shared, wanting to hide some of the munny in a safe place. But where?

 

"A girl? Could you be more specific?" He wanted her to give him more details and wasn't sure what she was implying. He watched her stand up and he remained where he was at.

Demyx saw Roxas come into the room and then leave without even saying a single word. Xion was in the bathroom and he was alone just sitting on the couch in thought. "Maybe he will want to talk later? I don't know what I should do?" He sighed and looked out the window.

 

Air. Such lack of air.
Like drowning in a pool of pure hatred, Larxene gasped unwilling breaths in search of the reviving air. None. It was drained from the atmosphere completely. What an electrifyingly horrid feeling it was to be in this place. Everything was dark, silent, and lifeless.
She screamed, causing cracks in the black pane of black glass appear before her. soon the cracks spread, and broke completely, sending her plummiting into reality.

With a scream, Larxene sat up, panting for air that was deprived from her in the nightmare that haunted her. It was dark now, but the temperature remained the same.
Looking to her right, Reno lay there, like her guardian. For once she felt scared... almost frightened of what her mind had conjured up.
"Reno..." she whispered, gripping his arm. She swallowed, and shook the man from his slumber. "...Reno..." Slowly, she tried to focus her irratic breathing. It didn't work. Her face threw out all signs of distress: wide eyes, shiney complexion, quivering jaw. The lot.

 

Tifa rubbed her head, lookiing at the wall. "Some girl that was staying with her. She didn't give a name, to protect the girl, I would imagine. She did hint that she had some connection to Sora."

Xion rinsed out her mouth, then pressed her forehead against the cool countertop, closing her eyes. She hated this, hated feeling this way. If something happened she would be totally useless. A liability. She let one tear fall, then pushed her feelings away. It wasn't important.

Finally.Stashing his hard-earned munny in a secret area in the bedroom, Roxas went to check up on Xion.He could hear the sounds of water coming from the bathroom and hurriedly went to check up on her.Opening the door, Roxas' eyes fell upon Xion with her head against the countertop.Instinctively he placed a hand on her back and slowly rubbed it."How you holdin' up?" he questioned.She looked to be in bad shape.Very bad shape.

 

She looked up, smiling weakly. "I'm okay." she murmured, keeping her hands on the counter in case her stomach rebelled. "Sorry I'm so sick. I'll be over it soon." She closed her eyes for a second, feeling a little dizzy, then opened them, and smiled.

 

Feeling out of place the red head had wandered back to Twilight Town instead of in Hallow Bastion or even the fortress. Alot of things had sunk in his mind and he wondered if Reno and Larxene would ever come back. He could tell that they might have been happy, but there were a few things that he regretted and it was that Larxene didn't even try to get to know him. Yet with Reno she seem to grasp onto him very easily like if he was her sactauary. In a way he couldnt' blame her. It wasn't her fault that she was a hypocrite yet feh they had no hearts so it shouldn't matter at all. However, it did matter to him and the more that he thought of about it, the angrier he got protrayed himself. The lightning woman was confusing to him and at times would speak to Demyx and other people, but to Axel himself she couldn't give a damn. Was he supposed to feel like this at all? Have regret and jealously swarming through his skull. Unlikely, but the flurry always felt like he had a heart even if it was in fact phantom emotions. Secretly the flurry had held his own crush on Larxene, but would never expose it. Of course he liked her, but she was too oblivious to realize it. Even if he did admit he didn't want to rain on someone else's parade. If he did he would be no better than the other guys who were chasing her. No, he had more respect for her than that. The last conversation that he had with her was not speak of the whereabouts of location the two were going to be. The pryro had given his word, but still his life felt empty. At first he wanted to just be friends, but Demyx and Cloud had ruined that for him and in his mind he felt that Reno and Larxene were forced to leave. Not to mention the flurry was still hurt by Demyx's comment. He felt betrayed even more.

Even after 3 days observing by the Clock Tower or Sunset Hill or occassionally a roof top The flurry would see that Roxas was busy caring for Xion by bringing home the bacon and even Demyx helped out. Before long Axel had isolated himself from everyone. Why? In his mind he was telling himself that he just needed to find himself, but in reality he couldn't stand being a burden which is what he felt. Roxas and Xion had each other, Demyx and Cloud were now good friends, Reno and Larxene were getting to know each other. This left him with no one. Feeling unwanted or not needed, but he was used to being alone. No matter how depressing it sounded, it would be wrong for the flame dancer to get involved in the lives of others that he cared about. It would stress out Xion so he avoided it. He was sick of the fights and arguing from certain people so he got himself out of the picture. They haven't been recently, but there was no need for ill feelings over matters. Sometimes he thought about just visiting Destiny Islands, but then there was a risk that he might be followed so he refrained from it. If that happened then Larxene would throw a screaming fit and accuse him of breaking his promise. He shook his head at the thought. Besides it wasn't like he was missed or anything. Three was a crowed. He had first realized that when he tried to hang out with Roxas and Xion. They were much younger than him, but he was a young adult barely at the age to drink and felt he could relate to them. Like memories he had with his friends before a tragic event had taken place.
However, things were different now as alot had changed such as mood swings. Demyx had changed as well. Which was unfortante for him since the melodious noturne was one of his closet friends, besides Roxas and Xion.

Either way Axel knew that Roxas was doing fine by himself as he had observed him doing his part for Xion. This made the flurry smile at this, knowing that Roxas would make a great father. Sighing to himself the flurry looked down into the atmosphere just plainly starrring out.

 

Reno waved his hands to the crowd as he stepped onto the stage of the awards, he grinned madly at his girlfriend in the crowd where he had just stood up from.Larxene, dressed in a strapless black dress and high heels, waved to him and stood out above all others as the crowd cheered for his success.His movie was a hit, and being the lead of the film, he received the reward on behalf of everyone involved."Thank you!" he went as he reached the mic stand and shook hands with the award giver."Well ..I didn't think I'd ever be a movie star, I'll say that much but uh ..I want to personally thank everyone who helped me get where I am.My mom, dad, family ..thanks for molding me into who I am. And last but not least, my beautiful girlfriend, for supporting me through everything I hoped to accomplish, and for making my life enjoyable even off-screen.I love you baby." he received another roar from the crowd as he headed back towards his seat, Larxene standing up and running into his arms proudly.

It was at that time that Larxene's touch and call aroused him from his sleep.Opening his eyes, they immediately fell upon Larxene, who looked like she had a horrible image in her dreams.Concerned, the red head sat up immediately and faced his body entirely towards her."What's wrong? Did something happen?"

"...It's really coming then?" Roxas asked, continuing to rub her back comfortably as he bent his head down closer to hers.He wasn't an expert as pregnancy, but he did know that hurling was sometimes a sign of it.He was both happy and worried.Happy that she'd be giving birth to the child they created ..but worried that her health wouldn't be the same.As much as she tried to deny that she was fine, her features spoke differently.

 

"This is going to sound idiotic." Larxene mumbled, cringing slightly as her body adjusted back into it's natural state due to the realisation that she had just experienced her first nightmare. "I think I just had a nightmare." She mumbled again, before sighing and shaking her head. "It was something I shouldn't have been frightened over. At all."
Staring up at Reno, she wondered why she had clung to him in her moment of fear. Normally, she would make someone else hurt or afraid in her moments of recoil and fear, but now she simply clung to Reno.
...This whole situation just gets odder and odder.

 

Larxene ..nightmare? It was odd hearing those words involve her.Normally she was the one bestowing nightmares upon the absent-minded idiots.No, it didn't sound idiot.More like strange for a girl like her to experience something like that.Perhaps he didn't know as much as he thought he did.Concern showing with his calmness, Reno placed a hand on her shoulder."You're okay now ..if you don't mind, could you tell me what it was about?" he asked, a breeze hitting him and causing his hair to waver back slightly.
