A Life to Lead ^_^

Aerith smiled slightly, stroking Cloud's head gently. "Sleep." she whispered, the magics of the lifestream dancing around her fingers. "Sleep." He needed it. Everything could wait for tomorrow. The world would be here, and so would she. For now.

Sora continued running, and running. A Dusk jumped at him, beginning its journey to the void. A Shadow had the misfortune to rise up, out of the ground in Sora's path, inevitably disappearing, leaving behind only a naked heart. A Darkside rose up in his path. Sora jumped and slashed at its head, but missed. Knowing that he had to kill it before it claimed too many hearts. He quickly turned in the air, executing a near perfect back flip. But, to his dismay, the dark tendrils that made up the head of the gargantuan Heartless entangled him, pulling him further and further inside. Desperate, Sora slashed through each of them, but not before he had been pulled all the way inside the head. He floated in the hollow chest for what seemed like days, when in reality was only several seconds. He saw a bright light, the heart that the Heartless has formed around. Thinking fast, he cast Reflega on the Heart, and swung his Keyblade at the hexagonal polyhedron, knocking the heart out of the Darkside. But, when the darkness cleared, Sora found himself standing on a stained glass floor, facing the one person he thought he would never have to fight. Himself.

OOC: Can someone else control Sora's Double for now? I don't think I can handle controlling two of the same character.

 

Larxene instantly tensed, and let loose the gates that once held back her unstable self. She didn't like being handled like that, or any close contact for that matter, but had donw her best to contain her trembling defensive self.
Opening her bright blue eyes, her pupils instantly dilated and became mere black dots in the large azure pools. Her fists clenched tightly together, as did her teeth.
Small snaps of electricity and sparks flew through the air, and at Reno.
"Urgh. I'm not a people person, if you must know." The Nymph grumbled, standing up from the ground and brushing her coat off.
Upon hearing Axel's voice, Larxene turned to the direction of where it came from. What should she say? Tell him to back off, come beat him up, or just ignore him?
"It's nothing." She replied, her eyes narrowing as she took her defensive stance towards where she suspected the flurry to be.
Glancing at Reno, she bobbed her head in a slight nod, then turned back. "I'm done here anyway..."

 

"Whoa, easy there ..didn't mean to make you angry." Reno raised his hands, surrendering immediately with the sparks flying towards him.Yeah, past relationships really must've been bad, or she was used to someone handling her and had enough.Just about when she turned around to reply to someone calling her, he began backing away slowly ...slowly..slowly--aaaaand she turned around to face him, saying she was done.Being caught trying to escape from her, Reno laughed nervously."Hey uh..that electricity was a neat trick but I ..got Turk stuff to do, how about we get together some other time?" he offered, turning and running off.

 

Larxene was going to await the reply of the nearby flurry, but caught sight of the coward running. Oh. This is perfect. Easy to seduce...Yet a perfect target...
"Well, redhead," Larxene glanced in Axel's direction. "I think I have just found my perfect chase.. I['ll catch you later."
And at that, she ran, soon fast on the heels of the man named 'reno'.

Quickly, and succesfully, the goggled man came into view. He was actually running... hah. How silly. He was running from ME!?
Pouncing, Larxene collided with his back, instantly grabbing onto his clothing and hair. "hello there.." she smiled, speaking in a low smooth tone. "I suggest you stop now... before you go bald and fried..."

 

Gotta run, gotta run, gotta run! Man I picked the wrong girl to put my hands on that time, she's gonna kill me-- Still running for his life, he turned a corner and tried cutting through an alley way.He could hear her footsteps behind him. Risking a glance over his shoulder, he saw she was catching up with ease.She's close!Run run run run run-- but it was too late, as soon as she collided with him he stumbled over and spun around, landing on his black and skidding for a few moments.Still surprised from his fall, he couldn't get up in time to avoid her grabbing his hair and his clothes.

..Okay..okay..play it cool..

Looking surprised, Reno smirked and shrugged slowly with his arms. "What? I was just going to go get us a couple drinks and not have a care in the world ..anything to please you, my dear." he said innocently, though he was sure he couldn't get off that easily.

 

Larxene lowered herself onto the cocky man with a sick smile on her features. She leaned closer until a mere inch seperated the lips of the two involved.
"Have you ever heard the saying...You can run, but you can't hide?" seh whispered, looking at reno with a vast amount of amusment lighting up her features. "...well, you can do neither..."
At that, she summoned her kunai, and ery slowly - but equally as cerfully - slid it under his clothing. Another giggle broke the silence, and soon errupted into a slight cackle.
"You're going to regret flirting with me, hunny..."

 

Not cool, not cool!

Just one puncture of his skin and it would be no more mr. nice guy.He could allow a punch, or maybe a smack to the face, heck even a kick ..but cutting him? Over setting her down? Good god, and he thought the girls in Midgar and Edge were insane.His expression of shock and smugness dying down, he grabbed her wrists and moved from him from, instead raising her arms in the air as far as he could.Lips just an inch away, his eyes narrowed. "Now, now...play nice...I don't want to have to put you in time out." he muttered to her.

 

With hr eyes closed, Larxene smiled. She knew how this worked..
Seduction. Think seduction... Self sacrifice for self pride.
Leaning forward, with her eyelids still gently closed, thy Nymph closed th gap seperating their lips. The action was barely a kiss, but she just held her lips to his, and let her cool breath mix with his.
"A time out..?" she mumbled slightly, her kunai dissappearing into thin air, to he replaced by his hands. "Why would you want to do that..?"

 

Eyes widened in confusion to what just took place, Reno brought his arm around her back and used the other to push himself up off the ground. He was definitely confused now. "..First I thought you were playing hard to get and now your all over me ..what are you playing at anyway?" he questioned, taking his arms from her and instead folding them, setting them on his lap and staring at her questionably. Now, he had known a strange girl or two ..but this girl was definitely bipolar or something. Was it just a trick of hers.

"..I actually really am interested in taking you out around the town sometime ..but the whole ninja tool summoning and the electricity ..I'm not used to most of that ..well the summoning anyway.."

 

Larxene smirked, and shook her head slightly. She had to control her actions here, as extram precautions had to be made with her unstable trust in other beings and such. What an obscure situation she had landed herself in, mixed with the unwilling temptation to tear his throat out with her electric-charged Kunai.
"I could kill you right this second." she replied, going off the subject totally. "Now... go through the portal bhind you, and I might just spare your life." Glaring at him with her hardened eyes, Larxene summoned her Kunai again, glaring at the portal that was opened whilst he was distracted. "If your sorta-identical twin turns that corner, you are sure to be slaughtered."

 

After her little threat he just stared at her, blankly, not understanding the deal here.Things were getting complicated, and for someone like Reno, that was doubled.First she threatened him lightly, then things went well between the two ..he even made her laugh.Now things were just confusing.What went wrong here ..besides the threatening to cut his throat open?

"Yeah, you could probably kill me right now ..but you won't." Reno concluded with confidence, keeping an eye on the kunai as he gently brought one arm around her.With the other her pushed off the ground with her still on his lap, but he was strong enough to push him and her up. Once on his feet he released her and looked back at that portal of hers."Here's how things will go ..step one, Reno doesn't walk through that portal." he pointed at it and looked back at her."Step two, Reno lets you know he isn't afraid of anyone.The bigger they are, the harder they fall ..and step three, Reno stops speaking in third person and asks you if your single." he smirked and put his hands to his sides. This girl was very interesting ..something most girls couldn't get away with saying.They could be so boring and not fascinating to him ..but Larxene was different.Maybe it was the hair ..or the weapons..or the amazing ability to freak the hell out of him.

"Come on ..what happened to that smile I saw earlier? ..you should do that a lot more, you know." he insisted.

 

Trudging through the corridor of darkness after suspecting that the thundering wench had ran off once again, the red head rolled his eyes as specualation set in. Who was that other guy? His last conversation with Larxene was that she told him that it was nothing, but he wasn't stupid to read behind the lines that she was lying between her teeth. Whenever she was intense she would do that. Almost like a pattern of a number of people hitting on her. First it was Demyx, Gex, Luxord and now some other cocky guy who tried to remain invinsible. Such an tiring thing to think of her this popular with the guys, but Axel wanted answers and wasn't going to give up on the chase. Might it have been easy since he could sense her energy easily with the other man's though it was mysterious to him, but either way he would find them. He noticed an open portal during his search in the darkness and gradually shifted towards it. Pulling himself out of the portal he eyed Larxene with her kunai perhaps in some kind of self defense. It didn't surprise him as he met his gaze on the pursuer and blinked in near shock at the stranger who sort of resembled an carbon copy of himself if resurrected. Except of course there were some difference besides hair style and eye tones. Though Reno had tattoed shapes on his face as well. It couldn't have been some kind of trend going on. It didn't make sene to him. Larxene had gone off with some guy who could of been his resurrected dead brother twice removed, but she wouldn't give the flurry the time of day. Things would start to get interesting. "So you are the one chasing after her! Who would think I would catch a shady character like yourself hitting on an uptight woman. Don't blame you for running away. What is your name?" he chuckled darkly at Reno. His comment was meant fleeing from him and not Larxene nor did the come and get me phase was sinking in.

Leon slept peacefully in a bed, though he had no concept of what had happened to him when he was knocked out. Nor did he know where he was at the moment. His face hurt and was a little bruised, but he had not noticed this.

 

While awaiting for an answer from Larxene, another one of the portals popped up again.It would be pretty scary for him if he didn't see Larxene make one herself. Weird group of people popping in and out with portals.Ah well.And stepping out of the portal was ..his long lost twin brother Eduardo? No no no soap opera fans.It was just a copy of him ..someone at Shinra obviously took his dna to fill the world with more handsome men like him, but the project was an ultimate failure. I mean look at the guy, his hair isn't even unkempt like his.The tattoo's were strange around his eyes, and to add to that, his fashion sense was poor.

But he'd humor the guy.Obviously he wanted to know the name of the guy he copied. "The name's Reno, Reno of the Turks ..I was strolling by and happened to see Larxene.Long story short, she looked upset and I offered to show her around the town ..and things didn't go as planned. So ..here we are." he brought his arms to his sides and spun around once.An Alley, that is exactly where the 'night on the town' led to.Sad, wasn't it?

"So what about you, big shot? What's your name?" he questioned Axel.

 

Axel half closed his eyes as he listened to Reno introduce himself and he thought to himself how Larxene would want to run away with someone that could be likely a clone or twin of his. He began circling him the other red head much like a predator looking for prey. He noticed that the turk that long hair with it tied in a pony tail which reminded the flurry of Xigbar for a moment. Chuckling at the hot shot comment the flurry shook his head as if to casual tease the guy though it was true. "You wouldn't be the first to be hitting on a hot girl like Larxene. Though she is a woman who hates stalkers she does enjoy grabbing the attention," He shifted his gaze to her then back at Reno. The flurry stayed quiet for some time as if purposely avoiding the question, but then blunted said it. "The name is Axel. Commit it to memory," he pointed to himself in a proud matter and then held three fingers to his temple then set it down to a crossed arm postion. "Well, Reno since we are at a first name basis I would like to know if a Turk is some kind of organization?" Axel asked. In truth he wanted to get to know this guy. He rather befriend others than start enemies especially if the person resembled him. It would be wierd to start an fight or confrontation much like fighting himself. He only hoped that Reno didn't run off again.

 

The entire time Axel circled like a shark hungry for its prey, Reno let him get an eyeful.Yeah, you can look, but you can't touch.He didn't roll that way, sorry to say. But he got the idea that he was completely straight when he called Larxene hot.Oh thank Materia he was straight, oh man that was a weight off his shoulders.His name and gesture screamed personal love. He must've really liked his name, that was certain ..but as he went on to ask about the Turk's, Reno looked him in the eye. Now it was getting too personal."Well, Axel ..just because we're on a first name basis doesn't mean I can just say any little old thing about who I work for ..got that?" he asked, shrugging his shoulders and taking his chance to move around a little.He took a step towards Axel, then another, until finally he moved beside him.He rested his arm on his shoulder and leaned against him as if they were old pals."But since your first impression was so ..impressive, I'll just say I am one of four people who work for a very powerful man ..there used to be more of us, but things happened in the past ..and what about you, what's with the get up?" he asked, pointing towards his coat, and then Larxene's.

 

Axel observed Reno's gesture and thought of how much information he could say to him. So Reno worked for some powerful man, hmm didn't surprise him at all, nor would he push him on that manner. Of course he woudn't blurt out everything from the organization, but he would let him know about the cloaks that they wore. It wasn't that personal as long as he didn't push other personal matters. His past life he could roll with that. "Let just say I was given an obligation to fulfill and a meaning to a new way of life. It may not be much, but these cloaks actually protect us from the creatures heartless that may come out of the portals. They are either black creatures or have a sigma of slash over a heart symbol. They take people's hearts," There was another pause as he took a breath hoping he wasn't freaking out or confusing Reno. "When I say darkness I am not saying like the night sky, but the insanity in one's mind. A person can lose themselves if they enter a portal without this outfit, or unless the one with the outfit accompanies them," He had no problem with the guy leaning on him like this. It was a friendly thing if any and it reminded him of what his friends had done as well. Just hanging out together, he could be friends with him easily."Only four of you left? You must work a very stressful job," he paused in some interest, but changed the subject for a moment knowing Reno would find it suspicious if he didn't give him any kind of explanation on himself. "I am an assasin, and deal with traitors in my job. Not an easy task when you are close to them though," it was partly the truth, but Axel couldn't tell him he was an nobody with no heart, for all he knew Reno could turn around and kill him without hesistation.

 

"Mhm..uh-huh..yeah..uh-huh..yep..yep..uh-huh..Mhm..right.." Reno nodded his head repeatedly and kept saying words of understanding, even after Axel's explanation was done.It just added to his goofy charm really. This talk of hearts and darkness was really nothing new to him. Taking a deep breath and turning his head down below to the ground, Reno moved away from Axel and looked back up at him."Honestly..none of that is surprising.." really, all of that he would've seen coming for sure."Oh and the job, yeah ..tell me about it ..still on it actually.And ..as for the whole assassin job, how's that workin' out Mr. Executioner?" he asked jokingly. He didn't seem like much of a killer with a first glance ..in fact, Larxene looked more like a killer than he did.

 

Axel seem kind of taken back with Reno's attitude. Did he not believe him? Or was he just too laid back to know the truth? What truth the flurry didn't even hint that he could kill. What did he think he was, some kind of punk rock star down on his luck? At first he wasn't even going to give him an demonstration, but now it was a different story. Oh man if Reno knew how many lives were lost in Hallow Bastion thanks to Axel and destruction upon homes, he would be changing his tune very quickly. "Actually I have caused alot of damage and killed so many people, it isn't even funny to judge me," he smirked as he decided to show him he meant business, but no he wouldn't bring out his weapons just yet. While surverying an arena to burn a heartless had come over to pay them visit which was just what Axel needed. Without any hesistation the flurry brought his arms up as if concentrating on his element as the flicker of flames began surrounding the creature and then closed in on it. The flames went even higher and smoked it. He watched it smolt into the darkness. "Never judge a book by its cover. Like Larxene I possess weapons of my own, but I don't want to bring them out," he added letting the flames die down.

What he said ..what he just showed him ..had Reno's mood change quickly.He had seen the destruction and bodies earlier, when he and the Turks arrived to the scene to confirm what did all this.A man with fire ..that's what they said.And now ..he found him.Looking down at where the black creature was last crawling, Reno narrowed his eyes and slowly looked up at Axel. "..So you killed the women ..and the children down there, huh? .." he asked, his voice borderline cold.He didn't walk around to fight, but seeing the families of the deceased crying like that ..it just didn't compare to any other pain. "Why..tell me why you'd do that." he faced Axel entirely now, wanting answers.
