A Life to Lead ^_^

"I must disagree..." Larxene's voice faded into a soft whisper the more Gex applied his hands to her back. She coughed, clearing her throat, and spoke again, her voice returning ot its strong state. "Pride is the fine line between jamming someones nuts in for speaking to you the wrong way, and just politely confronting them and hiding your shame and embarassment with words." She smiled, her head resting on his shoulder lightly.

 

He heard her voice flutter at his words. Maybe he did something wrong. No time to think about that now. His mistakes would become apparent later on down the road.

"No, that is only a lack of ferocity. Who is to say that the person who was quiet won't get you in your sleep or something more creative. I've seen my fair share of both. Man are those fun."

 

Phenox stroked his chin. "very clever." he said "i just happened to be walking around and i somehow found a way in. i guess i was lucky."

 

Larxene shook her head, dipping it slightly to hide the powerful smile that positioned itself on her expression. "You never fail to make me smile when it comes to times like these." she giggled slightly, collecting her original self back again and flicking Gex's ear playfully. Sighing, she remembered Demyx's words and how later, she would have to face it and talk to him.
Best savour this moment whilst I can.

 

"Sai I will be resting for a bit I don't want you to get in to trouble so stay out of trouble I don't want to jail break you because you disobeyed me"Marluxia said as he took off his cloak and placed on a chair as he made his way to his bed and close the door behind him.


Watching marluxia's retreating form go into his room closing the door sai gave a bow as he turned, letting curiosity take its course lifted the cloak to himself.

"It seems to fit me"Sai said to himself as he put it on. Seeing that it fit made him smile. He quietly left the room without the cloak and began to wonder around the castle.

 

Gex began to chip away at his own smile. Things obviously weren't right between larxene and demyx. It was strange since they were fine when he first met them no too long ago. more then words will be flying soon.


"speaking of these times, what happened back there? What is going on between you two? Last I checked you were ok with each other."

 

Luxord watched as Gex and Larxene flirted with each other he smiled he was gona leave but he wanted to make the savage nymph mad first. "so you say your an Ace cause that matches your skill and elegents im sorry my lady but thats not fate choose for you instead your pretty much an ace that been stomped on while it was on the road in a water puddle cause nobody loved the cards luck" the gambler said to larxene smiling when he insulted her. The gambler of fate smiled and he had his deck of cards to make him escape or to turn the women into a card to match what she wanted.

 

Larxene jumped down from Gex's back and walked lightly so she could face him.
"I don't know." She admitted, shaking her head and sighing tiredly. "I let my mouth go, and I complained about cloud being in the organisation. I expected cloud to go back at me..." She roled her eyes and sighed again, her shoulders slumping slightly. "Well, I don't like it when Demyx decides to get cocky like that, especially when I wasn't talking to him at all in the first place. I was also annoyed at how he just walked away form the organisation like that, as if to take a holiday from us as if we were infected with some form of disease. All of a sudden, Cloud is the golden-boy, and when one minute we are close, the next I am thrown to one side like a toy he got bored with."
Turning, the irritation of the whole Demyx situation had annoyed her, and the last thing she needed was him hollering on her back.
Clicking her fingers, and, just like with Gex, a small bolt of lightining came down to strike Luxord.

 

Gex leaned in close to the enraged nymph. True, these somebodies had caused alot of trouble within the ragtag army. Demyx didn't seem like much a team player either. Then again, neither was he. the Masochist of insanity began to stroke the woman's side.

"At least I'm a toy that you won't bore of, I hope."

 

Luxord smiled as a card appeard behind the Gambler he jumped back goin into the card to avoid the lightining. The lightning struck the card but not hurting Luxord the card dissappeard as the gambler stood there with a stuck up smile at the womens futile attempt. "oh no i guess i accidently sparked your ravage attitude but looks like your attemps to horribly hurt me was futile and quet ungracefull with that i take my honorably leave have a good day my unloved queen" he said to larxene before he started laughing as he walked down the room to check on how Amber and Xeol was doing.

 

Cloud watched Larxene talk behind Demyx's back and he simply just flipped her off knowing she was such a sore loser since he won the battle anyway. Listening to what she was saying, he had stepped through and heard bits of her conversation. She really was a rude one, and he would get her back for what she had done to Demyx at a later time. "Yeah I know they are, but it's perfect means of transportation in a way." He answered Leon while he had the copy of the contract rolled up in his hand and was placing it in his pant pocket. He could only imagine when everything was settled that he would spend some of his time staying with the organization. He wondered how many members knew of the new arrangements, but they would discover that soon.

Demyx watched Cloud go through and stopped observing the other members, such as Axel, Luxord and Larxene. He had heard what Axel said and wasn't bothered by his words. He didn't want to have to worry about other thing. He had overheard what Larxene had said about him and he payed her no mind, thinking she needed to time to think about the cruel thing she did to him anyway. In a way with having Cloud stay with them, it was like a punishment for Larxene would have to see the one that beaten her in battle and if she dared harm him, the contract stated that Cloud would fight back to the best of his ability and Demyx would also intervene. Remembering he had one more thing to say, he called to Leon and Cloud. "Guys I'll be right there." He ran away from the portal as skidded in front of Larxene. He needed to say what was on his mind. Ignoring Gex, his attention was on her. "The reason you feel this way is called guilt and having a conscience if you know what that is. If you don't look it up. Mark my words when I return with or without Cloud, we will talk and I will get you back ten fold for what you did to me. Don't think you're off the hook. Because what I have in store for you is only the beginning." Bringing out his sitar after his ominous warning he played upon it quickly and then jumped in the air, his hand pointed at her. "WATER!" After his command, water began pummeling like a torpedo and rained down upon her. He left her drenched, soaking wet, with the most frigid water imaginable. "Think about what I said wet rat and you deserved that." He left her dripping and probably freezing, jetting across to the portal to save himself from running or walking. In a matter of seconds, he was gone off elsewhere.

 

Aerith smiled, patting the ground down around the flowers. "There. All done." She stood up, brushing off her dress, then stopped, closing her eyes and smiling. "Just in time too."

Xion watched her warily. Aerith was so different from everyone else she knew, she didn't know what to expect. "In time for what?" she asked. Aerith was smiling, so it wasn't a bad thing. Who knew what Aerith didn't or did know?

 

Larxene closed her eyes, took several deep breaths, and opened them again. "Maybe I would be better appreciated if I wasn't here..." she muttered, eyes narrowing. Spitting out excess water from her mouth, she wiped on hand across her face.
Well wasn't that a good way of putting things. To be perfectly honest, I would rather have a fight with Demyx head-on, instead of him cowering behind the big dope that had just been recruited.
If there wasn't one thing she hated, it was when people got others involved into their argument. Which is exactly the tactic Demyx had used in this situation.
With Axel, she had expected. Demyx was like Axel's little brother, and she knew for a fact that he would stand up for him.
But getting that cloud involved? Was that necessary? Perhaps Demyx felt that this was right, and that he had a better advantage on her like this, but it was still... unfair.

Larxene smirked at the thought of unfair; I'm the definition of unfair. she smirked again, shaking her head slightly.
Then the idea crossed her mind.
The possibility of things being better without me here is high.. slight creases formed across her forehead, but were smoothed out when her pride took over.
Running away is for cowards. I do not run, have not run, and certainly will not run. We will talk - and possibly sort - this out. But I will not let him hurt me.

 

Cloud emerged from the portal after of staying close to the nobody for protection. He wasn't going to risk any heartless or any other force to come after him. He was glad to be back in a familar territory as he walked inside of the base and looked for Aerith. The first thing he did was look in the fridge and cupboards to see if she got any groceries. Deciding to save those for now, he sat on the couch wondering where she was. "So it looks like we have food now. I plan on getting something to eat, relaxing a little bit, explain to Aerith of what is going on and then start doing my job." He said out loud, placing his feet on the coffee table.

Demyx looked at the place Cloud was staying at and walked around seeing if he noticed anything out of the ordinary. He saw the tight security in one corner of the room with a monitor and the rest of it looked like a home, with a beige couch and a ocean design of a throw rug over it. The tv was a nice size, and the kitchen was medium sized and he noticed the wall had placards of many messages about friendship and kindness and how a little work goes along way. They were made of clay and cermamic. Observing the pots of flowers that were on the table, he checked down the hall and saw the bathrooms and some of the bedrooms. "Nice place. It's not all black and white with dark shades like my home." Demyx also sensed another presence of a nobody, but he decided to relax on the couch too rather then don't go find out who it was.

 

Aerith walked in through the backdoor, smiling. "You're back. And you brought a friend." She looked Demyx over,then nodded. "I did get food. Help yourself."

Xioin peeped around her, her eyes wide. Cloud was even scarier then she thought. Though the other one looked familiar....

 

Cloud observed another young girl with black hair in the room as well. "Thanks for getting the groceries, but I need to speak to you as well. It's important and could we speak in private?" He got up from the couch, sensing that Xion was afraid of him. "Who is she and where did you find her?" He asked her. "I'm sure you got my messages and have a lot of questions for me huh?"

Demyx gazed at the young girl and tried to remember who she was. "Wait a sec..." Xion? Is that you?" He walked over towards her and extended out his hand to her. "It's me Demyx you know IX, the melodious nocturne? I haven't seen you in awhile,"he said cheerfully.

 

Axel noded his head taking in the story that Mixt was giving him. He wondered if it was that easy to get past their security. Then again the boss had foolishly trusted Cloud and Leon and even signed a contract so that they could work for them. There was just something he didn't trust about the two humans. "Which three are you speaking of?" he asked. Curiousity got the best of him as he wondered if they were from his own organization on just random humans. He walked a bit to get some room and the frusteration out of his system. He wondered what Luxord thought the two humans joining them like this. It was distasteful and the whole organizaiton had gone wrong if they would accept this as their fate. He knew that Larxene didn't like it, but the hated the fact that she was always hanging around Demyx. It almost made him jealous, though things might get better because Cloud was influenicng Demyx now and that way the savage nympth wouldn't be able put her hands on the noturne.

Leon eyed Aerith and waved at her. "So Aerith, what kind of food did you buy?" He began helping put them away as he then noticed Demyx looking at the girl called Xion. "Hmm a friend of yours."

 

Aerith tilted her head to the side, looking at his expression. She didn't know if she would like this...."Her name's Xion. Try not to overwhelm her." She smiled and waved at Leon. "The necessities, and some extra. Help yourself." She took Cloud's arm and pulled him back into the garden, shutting the door behind them. "What happened?" she asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

Xion looked up at them all with wide eyes, then remembered. "Demyx!" She ignored his hand, hugging him tightly. Finally something she remembered.

 

Cloud felt he was in trouble as his arm was being pulled and they ended up outside of the garden. He starred at her as she crossed her arms. It was now or never. He wouldn't stall and would just tell her everything that happened. "Aerith take a look at my comlink." He set it to video mode as it revealed the first encounter he had with Demyx and was eating cookies and drinking milk with him, the fight he had with Larxene, his victory, his discussion with Demyx in the interior of the house, the encounter with Axel and Demyx in the caverns and the display of the ceremony of what happened with the dancer that became a human and then faded away, followed lastly by the injury Demyx got by Larxene and the contract that was signed by Xemnas, Demyx, Leon and himself. Looking up from his comlink, he starred into her eyes feeling like a child that had done something wrong. "Before you say anything, I made the decision and I'm standing by that. I will be staying part of the time with Demyx in his room at the castle in the World That Never Was. He's the only one that I trust and the reason for that is because he went out of his way to help me. He gave me a bag of his munny to help Leon and I, but that was when his boss Xemnas wasn't to sure of having Leon and I work for him."

Demyx hugged her back overwelmed to see Xion once more. He never thought of her as a traitor like most of the other organization members did. She was and always will be the #XIV in the Organization. He treated her like she was a little sister and he wanted to look out for her. "So Xion how have you been?" He remembered her scared gesture when she saw Cloud which made him bring up another topic. "Oh don't worry about Cloud. He's a friend of mine and he's going to be staying with me in my room back at the castle part of the time." He rubbed her back and was glad that she seemed to be happy. Perhaps this was place was good for her now to stay, but eventually he knew she would have to come back since she is a member of the organization.

 

Aerith rubbed her temples, thinking. "I trust you, Cloud, to make your own decisions. That being said, why on earth would you make a deal like that? Xemnas isn't looking out for you, or anyone else. I don't want you to lose yourself." She watched him, her green eyes worried. "Not ever. I don't think I can save you." she sighed. "So I"m coming with you."

Xion shivered. "I've missed you." she murmured, hugging him tightly. "Cloud.....he's like...someone else I knew." she shyed away from that subject. "Are you okay?"
