A Life to Lead ^_^

Stepping two steps back from the blow, gex seemed as happy as ever. Larxene's fake meloncholy was gone and everything seemed normal. Also he got a punch out of it.

"I'm not happy, but it is as close as I can get."

 

Demyx rolled his eyes as he tried to get off the bed and no one was willing to help him. He had asked Axel to help him and waited for a response, but he wasn't answering. Maybe what he said was to personal to ask. Frowning and sighing he tried to move wishing someone would give him a potion to drink to make the pain go away. He was tired of being hurt and he didn't like it when Gex and Larxene were getting along so well. He was mad and sad at the same time. In agony and serious pain physically, hurt emotional in another. Seeing Gex with Larxene made him cover his face knowing he was losing her. He wondered why he still had these feelings for her after what she did to him and he should be enraged and want to maim her for what she did, but he didn't have the strength too. Looking away and biting his lower lip, he sniffed back his tears, his face still hidden under his hood.

Cloud patted Demyx's back trying to show him some support of everything he was going through. He glanced at Larxene and Gex shaking his head that she didn't give a damn that she had hurt Demyx. The melodious nocturne didn't need someone like that in his life. Cloud knew what was the best thing for him. He would wait for the right opportunity though.

 

"Fine." Larxene smiled, walking towards a nearby cupboard and reaching into it, towards one of the glass vails. She grasped it, feeling the liquid tumble about inside the glass container. She looked at it, not bothering to read the label at all. "Here." she handed it to Demyx, her eyes catching his for a moment until she turned back.

 

Axel had noticed that Demyx was trying to get up and he gently had him release his cloak hood. He was choking after all at the time. Her half glanced at Cloud for bossing him around, but diverted his attention to Demyx. Completely ignoring Larxene, but taking whatever she had handled out. "Hey, I'm sorry, but you were choking me," he gasped a bit until he had found enough room to have air. "I have potions, but they are in my pocket, but we will use them," He whispered to Demyx as he gently scooped him up and slammed the bathroom door. Once there he sat Demyx on the toilet and pulled out an elxiar and ether.


Leon gazed at Cloud and then scratched his head as in thought. "Nobodies aren't supposed to have emotions, but yet that guy that almost killed me seems to care about Demyx. Perhaps it could be an act unless they are the ones oblivious to emotions."

 

Aerith smiled as she walked through the front door. "They stil have to meet you, you know." she said to the girl, setting the food down on the counter and closing the door. "Don't be nervous, they'll like you." She looked over at the small girl, then patted her shoulder comfortingly.

Xion smiled slightly as she started putting groceries away. "What if they don't?" she persisted. "Leon and Cloud don't seem like the type to want to deal with me, and...the others just scare me." she murmured, sighing. "Will I ever fit in?"

 

Demyx now sitting on the toilet that Axel had placed him on, took the bottle from his hand and was prepared to uncork it to drink the contents, but first he wanted to see if there was any damage. Putting a towel over his lap he didn't want anyone to see. Taking a breath, he stood up and bent over and after he had slid his pants down slightly, he looked and then placed his pants back up resting his hand on his forehead. Taking the bottle, he drunk the contents and coughed afterwards nearly spitting it up. Sighing he licked his lips, and leaned his head forward on his hands. "Axel why did this have to happen? What did I ever do to her besides say something that she didn't like?" He began to cry in his hands once more.

"I think Axel could be different too othewise why would he go out of his way to help Demyx? He seems to care about him and that's all that matters Leon." Cloud noticed that the bathroom door was closed and he heard muffled crying come from behind it.

 

Xemnas saw and observed everything that had occured. They were like children. Powerful, pathetic children. This never happened before. Once there was a time when the organization was a force to strike fear in those bearing a precious heart. Now they were nothing more than kids squabbling over the most useless of things

I hope that none of you attempt to perform such a stupid act again. We already have enough problems as it is.

 

Axel comforted Demyx by placing a hand on his shoulder and rubbed it. "She is very vicdictive and cruel, and she doesn't think at times. I assure you she won't ever do that again, or I will mess her up so bad, she won't ever see straight again," He gritted his teeth as he remembered the memory of what had occured. Lucky for him he gave her a taste of her own medicine. He tossed him the other bottle, "These are miracle drinks, it is a good thing I killed lots of lives to steal them out of the houses, becasue we have a good supply of them," He tried to break the ice of nervousness knowing it might of really hurt of what Demy was going through. "She is a real b*tch to do this to you, maybe I will have Roxas beat your senseless next time, or when you get better you can let her have it," He could imagine the young key blade wielder attacking Larxene and brutally teaching her a lesson and perhaps Demyx. Right now revenge was settled on his mind and nothing else at that matter.


Leon rose an eye brow at Cloud's answer. It seemed very impossible to think of the nobody to be this way especially with his entire demeanor changing for to help a nobody. "Hmm that maybe so, but it doesn't make sense, I mean he almost killed me, Axel is a strange one then." he sighed.

 

Demyx took the other bottle and drank the contents feeling much better when he did. "Good thing for these drinks Axel or else I would still be in serious pain right about now." He stood up feeling sore and uncomfortable, but better than he was. "All right revenge is on my mind too, but I want to do it in a way she wouldn't expect it. Plus did you hear what the boss called us? He's had enough and we better prove our loyality to him before he lets you and I both have it." Demyx got off the toilet, thankful that Axel had helped him out and left the bathroom leaving the door open for Axel to exit out of. Strolling over to Xemnas he looked at his fierce orange orbs and swallowed. How was he going to explain his actions and in front of the others as well? Well it was a long shot, but he had to make the boss see that he was all right once more. "Um boss thanks to Axel getting me those magic drinks, I feel I'm better now. I may still be in some pain, but not as much as I was. I apologize for my actions and anything that made you actually scream out like that. Is there a way we can make it up to you besides the obvious?" Demyx touched his shoulder asking himself why was he doing that?

Cloud nodded agreeing with Leon's statement. "I would like to know more about Axel and Demyx as well so perhaps we should join, but not the organization itself. What I mean is we can work for Xemnas killing heartless like we do anyway and this time get payed for our services. We wouldn't have to worry about munny issues again."Cloud had taken Leon over to the side and was talking to him in private.

 

Larxene's eyes followed Demyx slowly. She could just about see the small amount of residue left over from his crying.
what the hell..? Her forehead creased slightly as she swallowed back the words she was about to blurt out, and merely thought them. I didn't punch him that hard did I? I could have been alot harder on him if I wanted to. She shook her head slightly, assuming again, that Demyx may have been over-dramatic.
That said assumption, was slowly getting less convincing the more she thought about it, and guilt was restoring in its place. Her mind was still working over as to how hard she actually had hit him, and not how hard she imagined she had hit him.
The guilty thoughts were increasing ever-so slightly with each hitched - thanks to axel - breath she took. Like a drip of murky water from a tap, the thoughts were polluting the clear pool that is her clean conscience, and making her feel worse every second.
I don't understand... why do I care? What is wrong with me? He got hit in the nuts. Wow. It's not as if I really care about him or anything.
Brushing the thought from her mind, she walked towards Xemnas, but kept her distance from the nocturne and flurry.

 

The superior turned towards the blond haired nymph. Perhaps it was time that the brawlers came to there senses. Maybe larxene understood that.
Putting his hand on her shoulder, Xemnas began to address the nobody.
What is it larxene?

 

"I have came to apologise to you sir, for interrupting your speech to Demyx and his sly actions. I shouldn't have hit him at that moment, and waited until you were done speaking to the nocturne." Larxene explained, her head bowed.
She wanted to walk away at that moment, from the sheer embarassment of having to apologise infront of them.
With one nod of her head, she swallowed and stepped away from her superior, and stood beside Gex.

 

Staring with amber eyes, Xemnas examined the two. The relationship between the recruit and larxene seemed destructive. However they seemed to have a good rapor between them.

Find number XV a cloak and bring him to the altar of naught to create his proof of existance.

 

Larxene swallowed, looking at Gex with her hard eyes. "Come on." She ordered in a sharp tone, gripping Gex's ear tightly and throwing him into a portal. She followed, her face hard and emotionless, as if to be made of pure stone fram the darkest pits of the underworld.
"Get yourself a cloak." she ordered again, in that same sharp tone.

 

gex landed on the otherside face first. Rubbing his face, Gex addressed the higher number

"But ma'am, I'm not sure where they are or where you sent me."

 

"to be completely honest, I don't know where the hell that portal has led us to. I just opened it without thinking." Larxene looked around, sighing deeply. "Brilliant. I'll just open another."
Suddenly, a corridor of darkness opened infront of them both, leading to a smaller, darker room with lots of cupboards.
"I think this is it... Just... go an find a cloak, okay?" she sighed, sitting on a stool and crossing her legs. Her mind was too distracted by the dull ache in the pit of her stomach - the dull ache of what might be guilt.

 

Walking into the room, Gex rifled through all the cupboards letting all sorts of clothing fly through the air.
"Too big, too small, too hot, too cold...Ah, here we go."

At last he found one that fit. Quickly, he shoved his arms through the sleeves and zipped the zipper. Now there was only one thing left to do. Holding out his hand, he summoned the skull of his weapon suffrete along with her spine. He put the skull on his right shoulder and ran the spine down from the base of the head. Wrapping the loose section around his waist, the dressing was complete.

"ok, I'm done. How's a...bout..."

The pain lover's words died on the air when he saw the golden haired woman's face. Something was wrong, but what?

 

Larxene looked up, Gex's words crushing the glass of ignorance that she had concealed herself within for them few minutes. "You're done?" She asked, blinking repeatedly as her mind plummeted back into the present, rather than the past.
The words she had spoken to Demyx in the shadows would not spare her a moment to think; they just kept repeating themselves over and over again.
"Whatever happens, I'll come with you. We are in this together." She sighed and stood up, opening another portal to the alter. Again, she grabbed him and threw Gex in with force.

 

Gex landed on the floor with a dull thud. This was bad, very bad. The problem however was not something he could fix. Sitting up straight, Gex waited to hear larxene's orders. The past pain was gone. The only way to get more was to follow orders so he would be ordered to fight. And here he was thinking what he had before would last forever.

 

Larxene walked towards Gex - who was on the floor - and kicked him in the face as she walked past.
Slowly she approached the superior, her arms folded the full way.
She stood before him, her jaw clenched as more of her clear conscience was eaten away by the guilt that had engulfed her insides.
"Done."
