Listen, she will get hers soon enough. Right now we need to work together. If we don't, then that dancer died for nothing.

 

Mixt took the blow in stride and fell to the ground. His entire body remained motionless except for his right hand, slowly carving circles onto the floor. Besides being a good fighter, Larxene was the perfect distraction, even if she didn't know it. Mixt was moments away from recovering to attack Axel when Xemnas said no more fighting. Still lying on the ground he said "Does that mean my order is off?"

 

Hicupping and coughing he tried to regain his composure thinking of the dancer that had vanished and trying to be strong, but he couldn't help but keep crying from the magnitude of pain that he was feeling. "I know... I know... But it hurts so much... Can you at least make the pain go away or I'm not going to be able to do anything to help us get our goal," he struggled to say biting his lower lip as he felt he was being choked, and trying to remain strong in front of him.

Cloud got on his feet and shouted at Xemnas. "What are you doing? Put him down. You could be making his injury worse. He doesn't need to worry about getting hearts for you right now. He needs to heal and will be out of commission for quite some time. He needs to recover. I know what I'm talking about."

 

Everyone, portal to the medical bay, now! I can not take this much longer.

 

Mixt sighed and waited for some to open a portal for him to follow through since he didn't know any coordinates yet. He had wanted to join but it was looking like these people might not even be worth the trouble. Anyway, it won't hurt to try for a while and see where it goes. It might work out well after all.

 

Axel used his hand to summon the darkness to take himself to the medical ward of the castle. Hating to dare touch the one that had hurt Demyx, he grabbed Larxene by her hand and dragged her through. He wanted to put something on his cheek after Xemnas had slapped him. Looking away and hating to see Demyx in so much pain, he stared at Roxas. "Come on let's go," he called after him wondering if the youngest member were to come with him or not.

Leon stayed where he was, confused that most of the members were disappearing out of sight. He looked at Cloud and nudged his shoulder. "Do we follow them or stay here? I don't know what to do.

 

Roxas followed, not wanting to miss what would possibly happen next.Xemnas was going after the wrong person.Larxene was the primary instigator in this entire conflict, yet the Superior was too stupid to actually realize it.Yanking Demyx on the collar was a dumb idea, not to mention backhanding someone as if they were young children or a pervert.

...God how he hated him.

Nodding to Axel, Roxas portaled himself to the medical bay.

 

Demyx wiggled free from Xemnas's grasp just in time to fall back on the ground as the others were portaling away to the medical ward. He looked at Cloud and Leon as he lay there helplessly on the ground, weeping silently wishing for the pain to disappear. He summoned the Corridors of Darkness as he tried to follow. "Help me," he mentioned softly. "Please." He hated to admit it, but he wasn't able to stand let alone walk.

In this case and this case alone, Cloud bent over and held the young man in his arms as he glanced at Leon. "Follow me," he stepped into the Corridor of Darkness afraid of what was going to grab or seize him. He had to be careful since he had never been in such a dangerous place. Arriving in the medical bay, he placed him on a soft bed that was covered with paper that resembled tissue. "Lay down for me please." He instructed.

 

Mixt walked through Axel's portal into the medical bay. Wondering what Xemnas had in mind he stood and waited. Mixt wasn't sure if a heart would of made him annoyed or excited right now. In one hand none of them seemed to take anything that seriously, and those that did seemed to lack logic. But on the other hand they were nobodies that were showing signs of emotions. Some stronger than others but it seemed like every single one was. But at the rate things were going no one trusted him, so even if he did join the ranks researching this anomaly would be difficult

 

Leon followed in pursuit of Cloud keeping close to his friend as he thought he heard whails from other spirits or scratches of heartless running a muck. He was now in the medical ward with his closest friend, leaning over the bed as he watched. He felt shivers run down his spine from all of the other members starring at the two humans. "Um Demyx told us to help him," he explained hoping to defend himself from any of their actions.

Axel let go of Larxene's hand as if she was disease. He went into one of the cupboards looking for the right ointment for his cheek. Opening up the vial he rubbed it on his skin. Noticing Leon and Cloud looking down at Demyx he walked over wondering what was going on? "So what do you two plan to do? And how did you both get in here?" He eyed them suspiciously.

Leon was now nervous and he could tell that Axel could sense the fear in him. "Cloud and I were just helping. He couldn't stand or walk so we followed you in here with him after he summoned a dark void of his."

Axel touched Demyx's forehead. Deciding this was the best thing for him, he placed a washcloth over his cheeks. He didn't know what to use to treat Demyx if he had any wounds, but he would have to look first.

 

Larxene stood, her arms folded across her chest tightly. her sharp azure eyes were scanning the shelves full of vails and small potoins. She seen no point of her being here, and knew for a fact that axel was going to start again.

 

Gex followed behind and tapped Larxene on the shoulder. He had absolutly no idea what just happened, but all he knew was that he missed out on a beating. what was up with that? he was the one who wanted to get hurt

"Larxene, what happened back there?"

 

He groaned and with his fingertips he felt the washcloth that was on his forehead. Looking at Axel he tried to get more comfortable on the bed that he was lying on. "Just give me some potion or something to heal me. I can't dare to look at what she did to me." He shook his head feeling ill and humilated that so many people were hovering around him.

Cloud made sure he was comfortable and turned away from him, his back facing the injured one. "Like Leon says I was the one that carried Demyx here since he couldn't walk.Now who is going to examine him? You're going to have to see what the range of his injuries are."

"No I'll just go in the bathroom real quick." He rolled onto his side, leaning his elbow on the seat and pushing himself up where he was now sitting. Catching his breath, he drunk the glass of water that was available to him to quench his thirst. Attempting to get up, it hurt to stand. "I can't get up." He observed Gex now in the medical ward and he stayed back against the bed pretending he wasn't hurt.

 

Gex looked over at the water wizard. Geez he got messed up. lucky! why does all the good stuff happen to everyone else? Whats a nobody gotta do to get slapped around?

Slouching, Gex walked over to demyx.

"So...word on the street says your rocks got rocked."

 

"What kind of stupid comment was that?" He was shocked that Gex would say such a thing. What kind of freak did he find in the Underworld? No wonder Hades ran away from this guy. Gex was crazy. "Leave me alone. I'm not in the mood to deal with you and I don't think the boss would want to have to put up with you either." He tried to get off the bed again, but the sharp pain told him otherwise. He seized Axel by his hood and brought him close to his face. "I need your help. Take me to the bathroom," he uttered softly so no one else would hear.

Cloud rolled his eyes at the thought of facing this freak again. "Would you leave him alone. He's been through enough and does not have to deal with you too." He turned facing Demyx once more. "Axel help him. Get him to where he needs to go. You know this castle more than I do."

 

"I'm just trying to figure out what happened ok? one moment I'm getting debriefed, next thing I know there is a smack down. Speaking of which, who are you anyway? You a nobody too?"

 

"Gex..." Larxene tapped Gex's arm lightly, being careful to control her unsteady breathing before talking too much. "...Just leave him alone." She narrowed her eyes slightly, watching demyx whisper to Axel.
Have I hurt him that much? It was only a light punch. He really knows how to stir drama.
Her eyes strayed away from Axel, as she didn't want to open her big mouth and cause another fight.
The slight pains her breathing caused got slightly worse, but she chose to ignore it and focus on not causing any more hassle here, and also try not to laugh at Demyx's over-dramatic problems.
She still failed to beleive that her punch had been that hard. Or was she just used to being so hard with Gex that she forgot about self-control for that split second?
No. Of course not; Demyx is just an over-dramatic tart. that's all.

 

Gex sighed. Such unstable creatures. Maybe they already have hearts. Maybe these weren't the people he thought they were.

"Alright Alright, but I will do it under one condtion."

He began to tap his cheek with one of his index fingers.

"One on the face. As hard as you can. Agreed?"

Larxene smiled weakly, one hand resting protectively across her chest. "Gex..." she whined, her smile slightly stronger as her breathing returned to its normal pattern. "Are you serious?" She took the hand from her chest and placed both on either hip. She decided to ignore the others around them as she focussed on her target: Gex's jaw.

Pulling her fist back to her side, larxene took in a deep breath and snapped it back out again. Her knuckles collided with the side of Gex's jaw in a graceful manner, sending a bigger grin to stretch across her face.
