A Life to Lead ^_^

Xemnas stared up as the glowing moon. Its radiance seemed to shine. He had tried it on several dusks. However, the results seemed to be, inconsistant. No matter, the failed product would probably further his point.

Kingdom hearts, lend me your power! Let fill this hollow shell with all the emotions that it onced enjoyed. Kingdom hearts! Make a sombody of this nothingness before you!

Supported by the moon's colossal strength, the superior floated into the sky as if carried in a giant's hand.

 

Demyx backed a few steps away never seeing a procedure as this own performed in his entire existance of being in the organization. His mouth was open and his eyes were wide as a sudden tense of fear struck him. What was happening to his dancer? Was this what the boss had planned the whole time and chose to decide of all days to reveal it? Demyx covered his mouth with his right hand gasping silently.

Cloud had the same reaction except he was more awed than afraid. He was witnessing before his very eyes a special ceremony that the leader was performing. "What is he going to do?" He wondered what Leon thought of all of this.

 

A pillar of light, like the a rod of celestial energy, struck and enveloped the dancer in its own magnificance. a loud bass noise from this occurance began to make the entire floating castle shake as if oblivion itself bared its fangs at the hideout.

yes. yes! YES!

 

Keeping his sitar at his side, he leaned against it hoping to have more support. What was the boss doing now? "What is happening?" Demyx sheilded his eyes with his arm so not to get blinded by the light. He nearly fell over from the castle shaking and he thought it was going to get worse. "Tell me when it's over," his fingers trembled as he tried to keep his balance. "I'm not going to fall over. That would be humilating," he said under his breath.

"I don't know?" Cloud remained on his feet used to the ground shaking beneath his feet when Sephiroth had attacked him with one of his many devastastating attacks. "I hope this foundation doesn't crumble beneath my feet." He was afraid that castle would suddendly come crashing down around him so he had to be on his guard for any case of an emergency.

 

After twenty seconds after the monsterous display, the ray of light returned to the heart that birthed it. Drained from the encounter, Xemnas was released from the grasp of the invisible hand and collapsed infront of a young girl. The young girl was actually the dancer turned somebody. smoke still billowing from her ordeal, the child seemed stunned and beyond confused.

"Wha..what?"

 

Demyx gasped and ran over to his boss's side and shook him. "Boss are you all right? Come on wake up." He continuing to shake him. He was caught off guard at the young female girl he saw before him. "Wow." He reached out his hand to her. "Don't be afraid young one. I'm your master. I won't hurt you."

Cloud's eyebrows shot up amazed at what he saw. The young girl was scarred and confused as the smoke was still drifting from her. He had just witnessed an out of this world display that he would never forget. Walking towards the young girl that was previously a dancer he wondered if this was the same dancer that chased him before?

 

Aerith bought several food items and headed for the main base. She hummed gently, her fingers wrapped around her basket. It was getting darker. She wondered when Cloud would be home, worrying. He should have taken her with...she would have made sure he would get home safe.

 

The girl began to reach for her new master. As soon as they were in arm's length, the girl's hand began to melt away. Shock and fear plastered on her features, the child began to deconstruct faster and faster. Soon there would be nothing left.

The walls seemed to grew smaller, and it made Riku's head spin. He fell to his knee, and held his head in his hands. Suddenly the roof seemed to be upside down, and the ground was the roof.

 

"What? No! What is happening?" Demyx ran over to her and caught her in his arms as he tried to think of a way to save her. "No this can't be? Why is she fading away? What is going to happen to her?"He shook her and then shook Xemnas trying to get him to wake up. "Boss, explain what is happening to her?" He continued to shake him.

Cloud knelt over to the child and reached his hand out, producing a bright light that penertrated through her eyes. He kept his breath still remaining calm as he focused hoping that the light would bring her back from the darkness from whence she was going to. He patted her back, rubbing it slowly. "She should be fine now," he tried to reassure Demyx.

 

Phenox kept hacking away at the heartless. "take this!" he cried killing 5 heartless. he backed up as the heartless gained up on him. they moved slowly. "oh crud..." Phenox said

 

Xemnas' eyes snapped open

The reason is that kingdom hearts is too weak right now to make a new heart from scratch. This is why we need five more hearts. This is why you must do your job.

Cloud's light did little to save the girl, only prolinging her suffering. The problem wasn't that she was falling into the darkness. She simple didn't have enough substance to exist fully. Tipping over from strife's pat, the girl struck the ground and shattered into dust.

 

Mixt stood there through the whole display, still pinned to the wall by Axel "No offense, but I don't think five more hearts will cut it. Kingdom Hearts is so vast that is will take a few more thousand to make a noticeable difference" Mixt was secretly hoping for an invite into the organization, but if that didn't happen he still gained plenty of information from this experience.

 

That is only if we are talking in the power of standard hearts. What I am talking about are hearts of almost incalculable power. Why should I even tell you anymore? Identify your self. I do not enjoy having my time wasted.

 

Axel had witnessed the whole procedure which was amasing for the moment until he saw what had happened to the dancer and it was disappointing that the girl didn't make it. He knew that Demyx didn't like to lose any of his dancers, but hopefully with the hundereds of lives the red head had taken in Hollow Bastion that there could be in fact more lesser nobodies than there would be heartless. Perhaps there could be another one awaiting in the wings. He shook his head his eyes for a moment reached to the ground."Her heart and will wasn't strong enough to go on. She freaked out, and couldn't exist." He then retracked his eyes back to Mixt. "Mind you own business, however I am not convinced that Frosty recruited you. If he did he would be standing here and claiming you as one by now. I strongly feel you are a spy." He held him harder to the wall. If the guy tried something Axel would not hesistate to slit his throat.


Leon held his head in is hands as he saw that the individual had not made it. He began punching in numbers to his own comlink and telling Aerith they would be back soon. He eyed Cloud and placed a hand on his shoulder. "It is not your fault, some people just can't be saved." He admitted sadly to his friend. "At least you tried."

 

Remaining emotionless he said "My name is Mixt. And I'm not sure how much of a researcher you are but most anything can be calculated. In fact, I'm sure you've got baseline calculations already if your presenting it as taking five instead of just one. As to why you should tell me more; if you tell me more then you're wasting less time because I can assist you in research instead of reinventing the wheel trying to get you to trust me"

 

Tell me...Mixt, how do you propose such an action? Besides, even if you do know, we already have someone that could perform the same procedures. So tell me quickly and simply.

 

Mixt did not resist at all. The physical sense of the scene was much like a child getting angry at a doll. "Why would he be here? He has no way of knowing that you are doubting me. And what of the fact that I'm standing here before you? If I was not to be here wouldn't I have been caught by security? Or are you doubting your own safety measures?"

Mixt shook his head "I know not of these extraordinary hearts you speak of. As an alchemist though I can break anything down in to it's most basic of forms and reconstruct it. The heart is more difficult because it has much more intense value, but it still does have a value" Mixt knew full well that there was no turning back now. If these people had common sense he would either become a member or be destroyed, it was all about how he played his cards.

 

Of course you do. You simply haven't seen them properly yet. Still, an alchemist would be interesting. would you give us an example. I would hate to personally recruit a failure. Now is the moment of truth.

 

Mixt nodded and struggled for a breif moment to pull a ring off his finger. Using the ring to etch a circle on the wall Axel was pinning him into, Mixt transmuted a hole in the wall for him to slip through. Turning the stone into a long sword and cloud of dust, Mixt emerged holding the sword over his shoulder. "That work for you, Xemnas?"
