A Life to Lead ^_^

Larxene's face twitched slightly with the anticipation of yet another unexpected smile. She was thinking, thinking about how one minute, she hated the guts of Mr Zombie-man - who she had just adressed as Gex, wow. That was a stepping stone. - and now she was beginning to warm to the guy. he liked pain. She found that the most amazing thing about him.

 

The new recruit stared into the azure eyes of his vicious angel. He knew there was something he was supposed to say, but didn't know what to say. Another problem with lacking a heart. you couldn't go with your feelings, only your thoughts.

 

What should I do? what the hell should I do?
"I...I didn't realise you had green eyes..." Larxene mumbled, blushing further.
Idiot. Fucking idiot. eyes? is that the best you can come up with!? IDIOT.
She looked up and smirked, her eyes locking with Gex's again.

 

"And your eyes are like drops of topaz."

They looked at eachother for what looked like an eternity. Two beings with the same goal seperated by what they didn't have. tragic yet beautiful. such a strange kind of thing they shared.

"I think we are supposed to return to the others now. They might have to "disipline" us if we don't return."

 

Larxene smiled weakly. "Okay then..."

She sighed, then stood up and stretched. she offered her hand, making a special effort to pack it with electricity. her smile was reassuring and friendly for once, without that obvious blast of hatred or spite polluting her expression whatsoever.

 

Gex grabbed her hand in a heartbeat. While getting up, the electric surge coursed though his body and made his legs convulse.

"The first time I met you it felt like I was punched in the gut. The second time felt like I was struck by lightning."

 

"And the third time..." Larxene smiled, pulling the door open with ease and walked through it. "..you got healed, then hurt again. with more lightining." she smiled, and began to stroll towards the balcony again. She looke dout of a nearby window, spotting the lightening forking from the sky still, and smiled.

 

Gex followed. They stared that the monsterous power and strength that is nature. Side by side, two souls with no heart. Their eyes dances and smiled in awe of this ferosity. A sadist and a masochist enjoying the potential pain that the elements could inflict. What a strange pair.

 

Larxene still looked out the passing windows at the bright yellow and tinted blue lightining. "I wish I was out there..." she sighed, her expression slightly sulkish-looking. "It's not fair... I wanna be near the lightining..it's so pretty and...well...nice, I guess."

 

"But then you'd get shocked. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you don't like pain am I right? If anyone should be out there it should be me. Then again, I don't want to be out there either. Too risky."

 

"I don't care if it shocks me.." Larxene whispered, still watching with curious, cobalt eyes. "It looks nice. Really, really nice." She clicked her tongue, then continued to walk faster, perhaps faster than she should.

 

"it isn't about shock. it is about being dead. One bolt can kill you ya know."

 

"It isn't about being dead, it's about living in the moment and thriving on what you see and others cannot." Larxene sighed, looking to the floor with a thoughtful expression imprinted deep in her eyes. "I see causing pain as a joyful experience, so I do it and thrive on that moment when the pain strikes and whoever the recipient is, is doubled over in agonazing pain. You like pain to be errupted unto your system, so you thrive on the moment where you feel that stinging sensation where all your nerves are wailing out to your brain and begging for help." She looked up, a smile gradually appearing on her lips.
"So what we do is all about our own instinct and what we thrive on best. I want that lightining, and all your bothered about is a little bit of death?"

 

"Well you see I'm more economical in this situation. The thing is all beings want to experience happiness and get as much of it as possible as fast as possible. That is why you all want your hearts back, so you can truly experience happiness. If you die then you know longer can collect your happiness. In life, happiness theoretically speaking is infinite. Death finally stops your hunt. So if I live, I am happy, if I die then I am not. Do you understand?"

 

"...I still want the lightining." Larxene pouted. she looked at Gex, her eyes narrowing slightly. "What makes you happy? apart from all the pain stuff?" she asked, the question originally intended to stay in her mind, but incidentally got blurted from her big gob. she swallowed, feeling slightly awkward afterwards.

 

The man put his hand on the wall to support himself. Looking down his eyes seemed to glaze over.

"You see that's the thing. I don't feel happiness, I don't feel anything. The only thing I can feel is pain. Therefore...well I consider it a good substitute."

He shook his head and looked up at Larxene. His eyes began to dance and his smile was back, only softer.

"But that doesn't matter, I have you and you have me. Isn't that enough?"

 

Zexion looked up suprised. "Whoa stay down. Your hurt really badly. I'm fine, but we need to get you cleaned up." He put a hand on Lexeasu' shoulder to steady him to the bed. "You really need to rest."

He was right of course. the fight prior had really drained his strength. If it hadn't worked he probably have fallen into the darkness. Relaxing, Lexaeus layed down to rest and closed his eyes. However, he stayed concious just incase the schemer needed to say something.

 

Larxene nodded, her mind turning itself back to Demyx; how she and him had been close for that one moment in the shadows of the house, but now, he seemed rather distant.
Or was it her being distant? Either way, Gex had totally warped the whole situation around into something new.
Is she actually made contact with Demyx before, it would hurt him. Now, she would have Gex grinning and laughing through the pain with a joyus glee.
Perhaps this wasn't all bad. Perhaps this was good.

"yeah. I have you. and you have me."

 

Looking into her eyes Gex saw something. He couldn't exactly explain it, but surely it was some personal thought. He would have asked and wondered what he saw, but now didn't seem right. It would ruin whatever was there between them.

"Should we see the others? that old man doesn't like to be kept waiting I assume."
