A Life to Lead ^_^

Leon frowned as he couldn't believe Cloud was taking the situation lightly for he could of lost his life due to his own cockyness. "And how am I supposed to do that Cloud? Go back and attempt to get it back from him? Just walk up to him and say hey can I have my weapon back and then get slashed or burned in the process? I don't think so. Well at least I hurt him too," he grumbled. "Man that guy was dangerous, but at least you saved my @ss again," he sighed and sent a glare onto his friend in case he were to brag or smirk. "Well anyway I hope you got some information about them. Like what are they called and..." he eyed Cloud suspicously seeing him with a bag of munny that he didn't have before. "Wait a minute. Where did you get that munny Cloud?" He sat up, crinked his neck and then stood on his feet for he could tell that Cloud had some things to tell him and was holding back. "Okay out with it. What did you do this time Cloud? How the hell did you get me out of there and how did you get that munny? If you had that the whole time without telling me I'm going to be very cross with you."

Axel after finished killing people, was standing on one of the rooftops and recording everything he saw with a digital camcorder that he found in one of the houses that he burned to the ground. He had destroyed one hundred lives and did extent of damage upon the property of the town. "Interesting. I have never seen the Superior that furious for that he has to force any of us members to grovel at his feet. What a perfect black mail if any of those decide to piss me off," he smirked. He was three feet away from everything that was happening and caught Demyx's and Larxene's oaths of loyality from his present location. Putting it away, the assassin appeared and brought him Leon's weapon, placing it in his hand. Axel eyed it and held it in his grip as he portaled to the present area where Xemnas was standing looking down upon the melodious nocturne and the savage nymph probably with malcontent. He also saw Xigbar and Xaldin as well and ignoring them completly since Xigbar never came back, he approached the Superior as he smirked at Demyx and Larxene passing by both of them and stood in front of Xemnas. "I bring you a gift. And I have searched this town and have not found any nobodies here except for a bunch of heartless. Its quite a shame, but those other two warriors may seem like they have strong hearts especially the one who nearly sliced me with that huge banadaged sword of his to save his friend. I believe their names are Cloud and Leon for I heard them talking to one of another in battle when the other was getting attacked." He handed Xemnas the weapon, wiped the blood of his chakrams afterwards and had them disappear while starring his emerald eyes upon the two lower ranking members. In a nonchalant passive manner he eyed them focusly his attention upon the water wielder especially on account the nocturne was his underling. "Oh hey there Demyx. So what kind of mess did you get yourself into this time? I would love to hear your explanation. I do wonder why both Xigbar and Xaldin are here too when Xigbar was supposed to help me search for more nobodies." He eyed Larxene savoring the fact of rubbing this humilation of hers into her face. "And who would ever see the day where Larxene would be civil and groveling before the boss? This is all to facincating," he crossed both of his arms glancing at her and then Demyx once again awaiting both of their responses.

 

The kneeling was not something required, but Xemnas did not mind them doing it at all.In fact, it showed that they understood what kind of trouble they'd be in if they did not follow his orders.Clearly Larxene was disliking the whole thing, but she need not worry, as Demyx would be there to take the punches and kicks she dealt.And Demyx himself would need to learn to follow commands rather than his memories."You are forgiven."

Overall, he was pleased..perhaps they really did understand.

"You may rise.." he told Larxene, beckoning for her to stand, taking note of her body and mind.An idea struck him..but he'd need her cooperation for it to work out as he planned."I will need you to come back with me for a short time.." he looked toward Xaldin."Your assignment is completed."

Opening his eyes and giving Xemnas a respectful nod, he prepared depart back to the castle to await further orders, and also to spend some time alone to develop his skills.Unfortunately, Axel came, bringing his nonsense and ridicule upon them all."Axel..what a nice surprise." he said with a hint of sarcasm, putting his hood back over his head and putting both arms behind him.Never was a nice time for Axel to show up...ever.

Finally, some names.Cloud AND Leon, was it? Axel was cocky, but he could get information as he was on the inside of all of this it seemed.Examining the Gunblade for just one moment, Xemnas tossed it to the ground in the end, finding no real use for the object.Peculiar weapon..but of no interest to Xemnas himself.And he had to deal with Axel too, it seemed.Turning his attention to the Flurry, Xemnas didn't soften his tone for him."Save your ridicule, Axel.." he demanded.

All he needed was for Larxene to come with him, then he'd leave the others be.

 

Cloud was starrtled that Leon would be so upset for a matter that had already passed. Of course he knew the danger of what had happened and the only important thing on his mind was that they both were safe for the time being. Taking his hand to his forehead, he swiped it down his face wondering how he was going to respond to all of Leon's questions that were coming one after another. His eyes had finally returned to the beautiful shade of blue they once were and regained human form. "Okay Leon I understand why you're so upset," he began to pace around the cavern wondering what else he was going to say. Just when he thought Leon had given him his earful of rants and complaints, he was bombarded with some more that that made him sigh out loud. Leon had spotted the bag of munny, but the question was should the blond warrior tell him how he got it? He might as well. "Leon, believe it or not, but I got this munny from another organization member. No it was that bitchy one known as Larxene. It was the guy with the water. His name is Demyx. He gave it to me for he felt sorry for my situation and he was the one who was willing to offer me work. That's the whole reason I fought Larxene in the first place. Demyx was testing my skills as a warrior and to see what kind of person I was." He took a step back and leaned against the wall of the cavern, his strong muscular toned legs supporting his weight. "So there is the whole story. That guy is different from the rest. Its good to know that. I plan to meet with him again, but he will find me though." He glared at him out of the corner of his eye. "Even if you object I'm still going through with it. It's my choice. I need to know more about him. How many so called enemies, give you a token of gratidue to help you out and then allow you to escape? None I have ever encountered except him which means he's not an enemy in my book. I'm actually greatful and in a way I'm in his debt."

Demyx wondered how long he would have to remain on one knee for it was beginning to hurt. It was true, that the leather organization cloak was long and protected him, but unfortunetly when he had kneeled on his right left knee and placed his left foot forward, the cloak had spread a bit exposing his black tight pants. If he had covered the cloak over the pants then it would have been very awkard for him to rise without nearly falling forward. So currently, his knee had the thin material of the pants to protect it, but it wasn't much and the nocturne was kneeling on the hard ground, not grass or carpet or a rug, but the hard flooring of the paved greyish white pathway of Hollow Bastion. Dropping his gaze to the ground, he sighed and looked up from hearing Axel's voice and seeing the tall stature of the eigth member made him appear as less adequate than before. "Oh great what does he want? He's defintely rubbing this in," he thought bitterly. Raising his head, his eyes came in contact with those of Axel's. "Oh the usual, not following orders due to my memories of who I was coming forward again It's nothing new Axel," he wished he would leave for he was utterly humilated especially with Xigbar still there who seemed to look after him more than Xaldin ever would. He was becoming rather annoyed especially when he heard Xemnas tell Larxene to rise to her feet and not him. Screw it for he was just going to do it anyway. The boss didn't tell him to stay there for who knows how long. Just when he was about to rise, he happened to see a weapon fall on the ground that Xemnas dropped. Becoming curious of it, he reached out for it, snatched it while Xemnas was speaking to Axel and placed it in his pocket underneath his cloak. He would examine it later. Rising to his feet, he still looked down upon Larxene whom remained kneeling. "The boss has a special assignment for her? I wonder what that is?" he asked himself an shrugged. Hearing the boss continue to Larxene, he dusted himself off and stretched his legs from kneeling so long. He could still see that arrogant windbag's cocky attiude, but now he had his hood up. Shaking his head at him, he began to walk away and took his place next to Larxene and Xigbar waiting to hear what would happen next. With the gun blade still concealed, he had it disappear in a blink of an eye, using one his dancers to take it from him, disappear with it and take it to an unknown location that only Demyx knew about. Satisfied that the task was taken care of, he starred at the others and asked Xemnas one more question. "Where is she going with you? She has to come with me to the Underworld remember? She said she would," he wanted to remind Xemnas of this.

 

Larxene rose, glaring at Axel with sharp eyes. I'll get him later. she promised herself. Along with that damn masician. Her gaze turned back to her superior, both loyal and trustworthy. In the back of her mind, she was still planning the catastrophic torture she was going to put the blonde weedy boy through when she was done with her master.
"Sir," She breathed, swallowing. "Although I do hate to point out your contridictions, I must admit, Both I and demyx are meant to go to the underworld. I would like you to think of it as a mission where we can prove ourselves once again, as our actions shall prove more than our words." Her eyes turned to Demyx, sharp like daggers, then back to Xemnas, original and shimmering. "Sir, before you suggest and assign me onto another mission, please may we both go to the underworld?"

 

"Need I remind you that I may cancel any order if I wish?..I need only a minute with you, Larxene..and then you are free to go with Demyx." he announced, momentarily sending a glance at Demyx, not pleased with his question.Sure, it was natural to be curious of what one was going to be doing, but the guy was trying to pry his way into his business.And that was something he did not like.

"You said you would give me your all..and you still question me.Come..or did you not learn from before?" he would bring back the power to turn them again, but they weren't that annoying yet.Knowing the Nymph would follow, he turned around, heading over toward the house Demyx and Cloud were in.

If she dare not follow, he'd remind her who was in charge on a more severe note.

 

Larxene bowed her head, looking to the floor solemnly. "yes my leige." She answered, walking so her back was to demyx.
Looking up, her eyes connected with Xemnas' and stayed there, giving all the signals that she wished for him to speak, get it over with - whatever he was going to scold her for this time - so she could go and beat the life out of demyx. Possibly, her beating would help the melodious nocturne; By the end of it, he might be able to hit a higher note with his voice. Just a thought.
Come to think of it, the thought of Demyx with a higher voice would be quite amusing; so amusing, it sent a low smirk to her perfectly sculpted face.

 

He watched her walk with Xemnas in another direction and his eyes widened for a moment for he had a feeling of where they were walking to. Looking down at the ground, he waited to see if his theory was true or not. If it did happened to be the house that Cloud was in with him, then they wouldn't find anything or traces of what had transfired there. Let him tell what ever he wanted to her. It wouldn't matter at all. There would be no evidence of any sort so all in all they would be wasting their time going inside. Leaning aganist the wall, he looked up at the sky and closed his eyes for a few moments, letting his thoughts gather of what would happen next. He still needed to go to the Underworld, that dreaded place where Hades ruled supreme. Thinking about it sent shivers down his spine, but he fought against the fears of that retchid place. He would just go down there long enough to search the place, see if he could find anything or anyone that would be useful to the organization and then leave. Xemnas did not say how long he planned to stay down there for. He would take the easy way out, and then be back at the castle in no time. Like Hell he would spend more an extra minute down there if he didn't have to.

 

Stopping directly in front of the house where the 'fighting' had taken place, Xemnas examined it for just one moment before thinking long and hard about what he was going to request of Larxene.She hid it but not well enough..she liked Demyx, however much she dared, and that could become a problem in the near future.A problem he'd need to eliminate if it came down to it.Turning to face her, he made sure nothing was nearby to listen or spy for anyone, and he also made sure to go around Larxene so her back was toward the other four so his lips could not be read.

"I've brought you over here to give you another assignment..and that is to keep watch over Demyx.I want you to inform me if he is associating with his target and attempting to make friends once more..your job is to take that warriors heart heart, not fool him..surely you and him together can prevail in that fight." with Larxene's speed and agility coupled with Demyx long range attacks, they'd have a fair chance.At least he thought so."You are not to inform him of what I have told you, and if you happen to let it slip..remember..I'll be watching you carefully.For the good of the organization we must root out any emotional fools and any potential betrayers..understood?"

 

....is this guy serious? My assignment...is to baby-sit that kid? The kid who's rank is higher than my own? HA! IN HIS LITTLE PERFECT FACE! Larxene smiled, nodding her head the more the superior spoke. "I shall not let you down sir." Larxene smiled. "Am I dismissed?" She asked, looking over towards demyx with a blank look on her face.

 

"Yes..but do not hint anything..if he asks you, ignore him and continue with the mission, or make up an excuse of your choosing..you are dismissed." Xemnas finished, heading back over toward Demyx and Xaldin.Upon reaching Xaldin, he whispered in the Lancers ear, causing Xaldin to smirk and disappear in a portal.

 

Now he had yet another reason to be annoyed. Xemnas had finished with Larxene who was smiling and starring at him and the boss and had come back and whispered something into Xaldin's ear and then he disappeared out of no where. Something seemed suspicious all right. Folding his arms, he felt the tension as the boss returned to where he was at. He had a right to know for he hated secrets among other members especially if it was told to by a lower ranking member than himself. He felt even more inferior than her and would not stand for it. Still leaning against the wall he wanted an explanation of what happened. "Boss what just happened? Why is there something telling me that what ever you spoke to number XII about it concerns me? Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but I should know what at least is going on especially if it pertains to me right?" He was very causal with his approach. "Oh and I figured it was all right for me to get off my knee and stop groveling to you since you only told her someone who is lower than me to stand." He hinted this was sarcasism and bittnerness. "I wasn't going to be on one knee forever for I was feeling pain and felt like such an idiot, but I figured to show my loyality to you that is probably want you wanted so I went ahead and did it."

 

"Your not paranoid, your just far too nosy, placing it where it does not belong.Because Larxene is lower than you does not mean she isn't as capable.You don't need to know anything unless I will it..remember your place." he spit venom at Demyx, obviously annoyed with his curiosity more than even.Honestly, did he think that ANY matter had to be known with EVERY member even when it had NOTHING to do with them?No, he was just crying yet again for not knowing something.

What a child.

 

Demyx slightly pouted hated being told that answer all the time by every higher member. It was annoying it was like he was a piece of dirt and something insignificant to destroy upon ease. It angered him, making his blood boil and sad at the same time of how Xemnas looked down upon him. "It reflects upon me though boss. I'm IX and she's XII so you would assume that it would be like a slap in the face to me. I don't even know which of us are older? It's making me look inferior is all, but of course you wouldn't understand or care to listen to any of my complaints. You're always like that. I'm nothing but your slave to you and that is it," he looked away clearly upset and holding more of a grudge at what was happening. "It isn't right and you're treating me like a child and I don't like it. I'm capable of knowing what is going on? I'm not an idiot you know so stop treating me like one or I'll... he bit his tongue at that moment not wanting to get carried away, but Xemnas was just acting like his father did and so his memories were resurfacing once again. "Just stop it all right? I don't need this," he began to walk away from him, his eyes cast down upon the ground.

 

At this point,Xemnas had enough.He gathered his energy in his left and right hands, threatening to blast the Nocturne if he didn't cut this sadness act."Inferior?..Inferior because I told her something in private and you didn't get to listen in?..you are the very worst in this organization judging from this behavior..I should just strip you of any of your power and put you lower than Roxas." he waited for Demyx response.If he ran, he'd be pursued.If he complained further, he would be hurt.

 

Demyx stomped his foot holding back these negative feelings and bit his lower lip from the reaction of what Xemnas said to him. He wasn't going to win this arguement and never would win any arguements with Xemnas. The more he dispised his rights and status being taken away the more it filled him with phantom rage "AHHHHH!!!" He yelled in frusteration. Why did this even have to happen? He just wanted to know what was going on and now he wouldn't be able to in this way. Curse Xemnas for his high and mightyness of being the leader free to do the hell what ever he wanted and not have to face any conseqeunces at all. It was so unfair. Once he released his anger with a yell he felt a tad better until he saw the blasts forming in both of his hands once more ready to strike him with it. "Damn him!" He cursed to himself having no choice, but to do as what was ordered. "Yes sir," he gritted through his teeth not meaning any of it in his mind. "But it still isn't fair for what you're saying. If I lose my power then I will have nothing and won't be able to fight and then what use would I have to be in the organization at all?" He hid the angry tears that were forming around the edges of his eyes.

 

From Demyx anger, Xemnas found amusement in it.This young man really was thriving off the memories of the past, and released them now, of all times.He'd never understand Demyx..heck, he'd never understand any of them.Why was he getting so worked over something so ridiculous?Larxene was told, he wasn't..honestly, was it worth the squabble to figure out why he couldn't know?

Because it didn't concern his talents, that was why.

"..Roxas has found a member, one who could be capable of replacing you..younger, respectful, and a female..one with less emotion." he expected this tantrum from a girl, but not Demyx..the guy was just too sad for his own good.If Xemnas had a heart, he'd sympathize, but he did not..nor did he want to baby this man like Xigbar would."As a Dusk, perhaps you'd prove more of use..less commotion, and more order following." he kept his energy charged in case Demyx didn't accept the outcome.

 

He was not hearing this. He was in denial over the whole thing. This could not be his fate. He would betray them first before he became a dusk and lose his very own identity. "I would rather fade into the darkness and be dead than have that ever happen to me!" He screamed for his mind was pulsating and injuring him so where he couldn't think logically. Curse his so called emotions. They would be his undoing. Demyx saw the blasts only to know what was going to happen in any minute. Conjuring up a portal, he ran into the darkness for he knew Xemnas wasn't going to listen to anything he had to say once more. His only option would be to run and avoid the boss or else facing a cruel fate. "I'm not ever going to be one of those pathetic creatures," he shook his head, as the darkness began to engulf him. "I need to get the hell away from you or else I'm going to lose my mind," he disappeared without a trace, feeling vulnerable for doing what he did, but knowing it was the only thing he could do at the time. If he stayed he would have been gone for sure.

 

Once Demyx left, Xemnas let his energy disperse and he rested his arms at his side, knowing things could still work out in his favor this way, even more than before.Turning his head to Larxene, he muttered only one word."Go." meaning to follow him and find out where his loyalties were.

 

Larxene sighed, opening a portal and taking a mere jog to catch up with her fellow member.
Once walking at Dmeyx's pace, she kept quiet. Her eyes were looking to the floor in concentration; she had alot on her mind at the moment.
Although she found amusement from this situation, her face remained cold and emotionless. A hint of Empathy followed as she looked at the tears that curdled in the corners of The melodious nocturne's eyes. Tears...I always seen these droplets of salty water to be packed full of amusement and hilarity. Why is this different? Yes, it may look kinda funny. But... it doesn't feel that way. It doesn't feel that way at all, not anymore.
Her hands were curled into tight fists, her breathing becoming out-of pace. What a bastard. She shook her head. So...Strange. I'm hating the one who struck this hillarious 'emotion' onto my fellow member. This hate seems to have appeared from nowhere, and yet, it seems natural. A sigh rolled out of her ever-so-slightly opened mouth, followed by the words that shocked her more that it will have shocked Demyx.
"Don't be upset.."

 

How had she caught up with him already? Oh that's right, her speed was what gave her the advantage for she could catch up to anyone. Glancing back at her, he ignored her and continued to walk not knowing where he was going. From the way Xemnas responded and nearly destroyed his very existance, he was not in a talkative mood "To late for that." He wanted to get away from the organization completly as of now and his mind was so confused and still in shock after what he had barely escaped. Was she sent to hunt him down and bring him to Xemnas for that was the feeling that was going through his mind. He remembered her wicked smile plastered on her face before so this had to be the reason or else it was to get even with him. Holding his head up high, he smirked knowing how he could easily ditch her. Being at Destiny Islands meant there was a vast ocean and he knew she couldn't harm him in the ocean. Thinking quickly he ran towards the beach, his boots making imprints in the wet sand as his body greeted the surf that crashed near the rocks. Diving beneath the crest, he twirled around in the ocean letting it renergize him and bring him out of his doubts. Lieing on his back, he began to float out to sea and smirked as he saw her still on land.
