Luxord looked at Xion again the girl looked the same as she did in the past. The blond wonderd how could she be considerd anything special and why she was not considerd an nobody when all the facts states that she is. "i would be willing to debate over what you said mam but unfortionatly i got an job to do" the Gambler of Fate said to her. A few moments later he snaped his fingers some gambler nobodys appeared beside him "bu you do have an good point that no one can neglect even myself that is i dont have a heart" he said to them with an dangerous looking smile. "i need to distract the knight so i can capture the king then later it will be check mate" Luxord thought to himself silently. The gambler nobodys started to attack to Tifa by making gient dice appear rolling towards her. The blond jumped on the walls and ran towards Xion using the inlarged cards as walkable surfaces. With an smirk the blond thew an hand full of razor sharp cards at her at an fast speed.

 

Tifa jumped on top of the rolling dice, concentrating. She jumped off, tilting her body slightly to fit in the small space between Xion and the wall, grabbing the girl and pushing off against the wall, then tucking in her body and rolling past. She flinched as a card cut her arm, but kept Xion safe. For now.

 

The gamblers stood there confuzed for a while then they started to attack Tifa. Luxord took note of how hard the girl was trying to protect Xion thus proving his stratigy to be effective when the time came. "i need to seperate those two" the blond thought to himself. The Gambler of Fate could turn Xion into an card temporary but he was already messing with the boundrys of time. The clock on the enlarged cards on the walls started to tick faster. Luxord summond an full deck of cards in his hand and then he threw them and quickly summond another deck and threw them at the girlz as well. The card projectiles speed increased drasticly because the time interval around them was decreased making the time around the cards go by faster.

 

Xaldin glanced at Rexa. "Go away for a little while so I may talk to the Superior alone." Xaldin said with a commanding look in his eye.

"Um... O-Okay" Rexa vanished through a corridor of darkness, appearing in Twilight Town. She walked along until she bumped into someone, Gex. Oh! I-I'm... Sorry..." Rexa apologized, looking at the ground. Her face was blood-crimson with embarrassment. "I sh-should have w-watched where I was g-going..." She mumbled.

Xaldin looked back at his Superior. "So... about that girl..."

 

Stepping back from the bump, Gex tried to balance himself, his arm still bleeding from the spikes.

"Don't mention it. I'm sorry, but who are you? I don't see alot of people lately."

 

Rexa gulped, gathering up the courage to look at him. "I-I'm Rexa... N-Nice to meet you..." She reluctantly held out her hand for a handshake. She twitched as a huge pain hit her in the head. N-No... not now!... Rexa used her free hand to hold the side of her head. Her eyes started turning crimson, meaning her mind bullets would soon come into effect.

 

Being the moron that he is, Gex reached out to take the girl's burning hand, blood running down his arm.

"I'm gex, pleased to meet you too. Sorry that I look so unkept."

 

Rexa forced a small smile. "I-It's okay..." The pain got worse. Why? Why did she have to be cursed with such abilities? Her father had called them gifts... he had called her special... but all of that was a lie... her abilities weren't gifts... they were curses... and she wasn't special... she was a freak! Rexa's eyes opened wide. They had changed from a deep shade of violet, to blood-crimson. The light post behind Gex exploded.

 

The masochist's eyes snapped open as the glass shards soared through the air and pierced his back. His body spazimed as the crystal minced his flesh and feasted on his blood.

The world blurred and melted away as the nobody fell do his knees. Pain, blinding pain was consuming him. Gex couldn't believe his senses.

 

Rexa started crying as she curled up in a ball. The sound of the explosions was deafening. Windows from the buildings were being destroyed, light posts were exploding, the ground was cracking, and people were running away. Rexa cried harder when she realized she had hurt Gex. Once again, she had hurt an innocent person...

 

The nobody's limp body collapses upon the frail girl, blood staining the ground around their feet. A small smile broke across his lips as the bent and twisted to whisper a small gratitude that was lost in the see of screams.

 

Tifa twisted, wincing as the cards skimmed over her skin, burning her. She fell to the ground, her body covering Xion's as she faded into unconsciousness. It was then she realized a card had pierced her back. Xion's whispers were lost as she faded into the darkness, trying to fight it.

 

Rexa cried more. "Stop!!!" She managed to cry out. The explosions continued for a little while longer, then they ceased. Utter silence blanketed the town. Everyone was staring at the two.

"That girl's a monster!" A man shouted. "Get out of here you freak!" Another man shouted.

Rexa sniffled and managed to slide out from under Gex and stand up.

Freak! Freak! Freak! Freak! Freak! The crowed chanted.

 

Luxord was surprissed an worried expression was on his face he was not expecting to kill his game token. "oh bloody hell" the Gambler of Fate mutterd to himself. By looking at Xion starting to fade the blond did not have that much time. Quickly Luxord made some cards start to spin around Xion's body. As Tiffa held her Xion turned into a card when the cards started to turn black and spin around the nobody quickly. Shaking his head sadly the blond did not know why he stoped the time around Xion to save her from fadding then again she can be used as an gambit. The Xion card floated to the Gambler of Fate looking at the card the girls eyes was closed and darkness was coming out of the girls body. "its funny i dont attend to allow you to die yet but you suffering in limbo is good enought for now" Luxord said as he got out the Cid card and looked at the two pieces he needed for his game.

 

Gripping Rexa tightly, Gex got back on his feet, spinning the girl around.

"Thank you thank you thank you!"

with a snap of his fingers, he summoned his skeleton, sufferete. The bleached monster roared at the chanting mob.

 

Every face of everyone in the crowd went pale. One woman screamed, causing everyone else to follow suit. They all ran in fear from the skeleton.

Rexa looked at Gex. Had he... just stood up for her? She smiled, for real this time. "Thanks..." She said to Gex.

 

Tifa got to her feet, her eyes burning. "Let. Her. Go." She said, her voice deliberately quiet. "She doesn't need any of this, you *******. Just leave us alone." She didn't quite know what was wrong, only that she felt cold, disconnected, all over.

 

Luxord stayed silent as he extended out his had with his palm facing upward. All of the cards on the walls and the ground returned back to normal size and started to stack on the Gamblers of Fates palm. When all the cards was gathered the blond closed his hand all of the cards disappearing instently. Turning around he started walking to the door but then stoped. "if you are not clouded with anger you would thank me i saved her from fadding into nothing" Luxord said to her calmly. "yet unfortionatly you got an choice to make now if you truelly love Xion you will meet me on the cliff where you can see the witch's old castle if you dont arrive at the proper place" the Gambler of Fate said as he slightly turned his head looking at Tiffa "she will suffer in limbo for eternity i can ether make all her injurys disappear or i can make it that she never existed at all" Luxord said to her with an slight smirk.

 

Tifa slowly took a deep breath. "There is no such place." she murmured, watching him. "Whatever you want, just tell me. I don't want your stupid games, and neither did she."

 

Luxord just thought of another place to meet then an idea hit him. "im sorry to inform you of this but unfortionatly the only way to have an oppertunity to save Xion is by playing a game" the Gambler of Fate said to Tiffa. "the spot to meet me will be simply here" the blond said. Afterwards he looked straight ahead "remember if you dont perticipate in my game her fate will be sealed but if you do come without anyone else Xion will have an chance to survive including your friend Cid" the blond said to her with an smirk wondering how she would react.
