A Life to Lead ^_^

Demyx spotted another cloaked figure appear next to them and by what he had heard the Superior said he knew it had to be Gex. Letting Larxene think about what he said, and how his gestures were towards her especially the eye contact he gave her.He directed his voice to her. "I'll be back. There is something important that I need to do. If you're not here when I return I will find you," he took her hand into his own and placed it on his chest before disappearing into a void into the darkness. Appearing back at the Altar of Naught he had figured, his last gesture was enough for the boss to absorb what had happened. Demyx thought of himself being crazy, but something in the back of his mind was telling him that he needed to speak to him. Slowly approaching Xemnas, he cleared his throat for him to take notice. "Um about what I did before," he rubbed the back of his head nervously and bite his lower lip gentely in anticiapation, "here's a reason why I... I... touched your shoulder, but I would appreciate it if we could talk alone anywhere of your choosing. I need to just say this how matter how strange it sounds. There is a reason for my behavior as of lately."

 

The superior kept his back turned to the water wielder, not wanting to acknowledge the strange happening that was taking place. Begrudingly, he faced the boy, caving into his curiosity.

"I shall entertain your wishes, but be warned. Everyword you speak will be put into question. That tongue of yours has been coating things in a haze lately. I do not wish for that to continue.

 

Demyx stood with both of his arms behind his back, his head slightly down and he rose to to meet the eyes of the Superior. "I understand." As he waited for Xemnas to respond and then choose a location, Demyx spotted Axel on the ground hurt as ever. Part of him told him that he deserved it for hurting him and calling him a traiotr and another part was crying out to him to help him. Demyx respected Axel and looked up to the higer ranking nobody. They were close to the same age and no matter what he couldn't bare to see Axel suffer at the injuries he received. Quickly Demyx vanished into the medical bay, got a potion, appeared back knelt down to Axel, forcing it down his throat gentely. "You'll be fine. This will give your back your strength and heal you completly. We will talk later as I need to go with the boss right now." He got up from his knee and ran over to Xemnas as quick as he could. "Okay you have my attention. Lead the way Superior.

 

Xemnas just stared down at Demyx. He was acting as he usually did. Sporatic and unstable. He helped axel. That either made him loyal or ensured axel as a traitor as well.

"Here is sufficiant for what you have to say Demyx. Now speak."

 

Demyx hoped he knew what he was doing as he leaned closer to Xemnas so only he could hear. "What I really wanted to say boss is that I have been having memories of who I was before I came who I am and well I see you like a father figure in my life. I know it's weird and all, but I just look up to you more then just my boss. That was the reason for me touching your shoulder like that because I want to seek your guidance." He turned away feeling ashamed he had just admitted something so dear to him and he wondered how Xemnas would react.

 

A long moment passed between the two. The confession hanging in the air.

"So, you consider yourself my son."

Slowly, xemnas lifted his hand an placed it on the young nobody's shoulder.

"Then follow my orders and obey. Be obidient, like a good son should. Do you understand?"

 

Leon shrugged as he looked at the picture. "So you know about Xion, and Axel? And you aren't related to the organization. Then give some information about how you even know them?" He was curious. He knew that Cloud was in his own little world so he wasn't going to bother him at the moment.

Cid frowned when he saw that Xeol had knives out and the pilot pulled out his weapon as well. He wasn't going to leave the only home that he knew of just because this organization member was threatening him with a weapon. "Get out of here!" He yelled and fired at him.


Roxas was still with Xion as they traveled in the portal and he wondered where else they could hide. There was no mistaking that the two of them could be hunted. They needed to get somewhere safe, but where. "Is is safe to go back home?" Roxas asked Xion though he wondered how Axel was doing without them. Even though he felt betrayed in a wierd kind of way he felt that Axel was only protecting Xion and him.



Axel still felt like he was out of it, but he noticed that he was strong again, but there were a few injuries, but none that serious. Just cuts if anything.It would take a little time to heal properly considering he did get whacked by two powerful nobodies. He rose to his feet and looked at Demyx suspicously as he thought that he would of just left him there to rot in hell. No one had tried to help him at all except the water wielder. Even Roxas had left him, but that is what he had wanted. He didn't want anyone to care for him. Nor was he an traitor to the organization. He glanced in another direction and saw Saix who seem to be starring him down in a cold desperate amount to judge him. "I have already chosen the side of the organization. What more proof do you want?" the flurry replied in a rough tone.


Saix smirked coldly as he knew that they needed more hearts and that Xenmas would stay where he was and the lunar divider could also hear the conversation that Demyx would speak about. "Go get Leon's heart." Was all he said as he still forced his claymore at Axel about to thrust it down his skull.



Axel ducked this time and summoned his own chakrams in the nick of time in order to avoid the slaughter of the weapon and reflected it back at his opponent. "That was the same order I had before. But I hadn't given up on it. I will get that heart. Though what about the turks?" He smirked though he looked at Demyx wondering what he was going to talk to Xenmas about. He would thank him later for helping him, but now was not the time for this. Though he seemed shocked when he heard the response from both Demyx and Xenmas even Saix was speechless.

 

Demyx was alarmed when Xemnas had responded in another way he could not even imagine. Was it even possible for the boss to just say that sentence. Did he actually call him his son? He had to be dreaming. The Superior who had come close to killing him, was now resting his hand on the young man's shoulder. The sensation of Xemnas's own element from his sudden touch coensided with the musician's own water creating ripples of tension in small currents inside of his body. He felt something else besides the elemental clash where the Superior's own powers were clearly rising and taking control. Demyx felt that he belonged and had worth and now that he knew the truth he would strive to complete his tasks and claim what Xemnas said him to be. He would make him proud and see something in him that he didn't see in any other member. The guidance was there in the form of the boss and there was left to do was to work his way up and yearn for the trust that he so desired. "Yes father," he was thinking clearly now, his mind set on an objective. "In fact to prove my loyalty to you once and for all, I will get you a strong heart so that we may come closer to our goal. Larxene and I have come up with a plan to acheive this. It involves this human Reno, one of the Turks that you heard about. She has asked me to be her accompliance in doing so and it's our way of proving ourselves to you Superior. Regardless what happens either way you will get a strong powerful heart. I promise you that. I told you this to ask your permission if we can go with this plan because I learned the hard way when I took matters into my own hands and I intend not to make that mistake again," he kneeled before him seeking permission and forgiveness from Xemnas to give him the opportunity for him and Larxene to prove themselves.

BIC: Xion grabbed Roxas' hand without answering and dropped next to Namine through the portal. "Hey." she whispered, sitting down. "Sorry we took so long, things are going to hell and back over there." She smiled wryly, then looked up. "Oh...Roxas, Namine. Namine, Roxas." She managed another smile, then concentrated on the ground and focused on the images flooding in.

Tifa reached out to touch Cloud's shoulder, and rested her hand there. "Cloud...." She jumped, then whirled. "Don't scare me so bad, you two." she scolded gently, then left Xion alone, seeing the girl concentrate on something. "Namine, this is Sora's nobody. Roxas, she's Kairi's nobody." She was slightly tense, but interested, to see what would happen.

 

Naminé stared at Leon,clearing her head to find the perfect words to say.
"I sneak around the castle,and I always hear names."
She frowned and continued.
"Xion helped me outta there,and I've overheard Axel and his evil ways before."
She turned away from him and to Xion.
"Hello Roxas."
He was the boy she was looking at before,with the serious face.
He looked familiar,and she blushed at the introduction.

She heard what Tifa had said and shivered a bit.
"He's Sora's nobody?"
Naminé looked at him deep in thought.
"Nice to meet you"
She took his hand and shook it,her head was burning.
What just happened?

 

Looking down at his inferior, his "son", Xemnas softened his expression slightly. Finally, finally the boy would listen to him. He didn't want to get suckered again, but at least there was hope again for the nobody.

Still, Demyx's tongue had done such things before to escape punishment. Maybe he'd need supervision on this little act of redemption.

"Action approved, but make sure number XV acompanies you. You are still on thin ice. Make no mistake."

 

Leon nodded in acknowledge as he wondered why Namine even tried to spy on them, or if she was in fact telling him the truth. "Tell me what evil ways you heard about Axel?" He asked as he wanted to know if this nobody was truely that terrible though in his mind it was telling him that he was since he wanted to go out and kill him. He noticed Xion and Roxas and waved to them.


Axel shook his head as he looked at Gex and then at Xenmas. "No, I was instructed to keep an eye on Demyx. Why don't you have Larxene watched over by Gex instead." The red head said in as much respect he could muster. He was acting respectively, besides he needed to make sure that his underling would be able to work things out with him. They were getting along better until the water chaotic mess came out of nowhere in a blink of a eye. Sure he could understand that Demyx could do things overboard, but he needed to clear the air with him.


Roxas looked at Namine and in the back of his mind he felt that he seen her somewhere before, but didn't know where. Brushing those thoughts out he smiled at her and shook her hand. "Hi, um how do you two know each other?" He asked the two girls.

 

Xemnas moved his attention to the flurry. Still beaten and bruised. Such a stupid question to as. None the less, he'd answer it.

"The reason is very simple Axel. It is because number XV requested it. Also, it is part of the reason that I didn't have demyx or larxene killed, because he took responsibility for them. You on the other hand was tasked with this assignment and failed. Understand?"

 

Axel was taken back and seem to resent this kind of decision that Xemnas was trying to go with. Since when has sacrificial even in your code as well? That is exactly what he did. Something that you would frown upon. Failed? I have not failed. It wasn't my fault nor was I tasked to watch over Larxene. It was only Demyx. That chaotic water mess was not my fault." The flurry of dancing flames crossed his arms as his normal stance, and not in any way disrespectful to the leader though he was getting annoyed that Xenmas was requesting that a lower nobody take command over instead of a higher one. Especially one that had just joined them as well. ""Demyx would rather have me look after him than Gex."

Saix frowned as he held his claymore steady in his hands. He knew that Axel was not one to back down. The rebel would always question his orders. Lived by his own rules, but at least he had turned his back on Roxas and Xion so that showed some loyalty. Saix didn't care one way or the other. All he knew that they were so close to their goal.

 

Xion looked up and smiled a little. "Namine was in a tight spot in the castle. I just helped her out." she winced, then stood up. "I can't see what the others are doing, I don't know if they can be trusted." She glanced at Tifa as she said this.

 

"I am not blaming larxene on you Axel, I'm blaming you for not keeping demyx in line. If you had done your job, he'd never have gotten so bold. That, is why I lay blame on you as well as our water wizard."

 

Luxord looked at the free shooter why did everybody thought he rigged games that was an rumor that was created. "dear free shooter only an crook would be willing to low their morals by cheating if I attempted such an unhonest act i would be ashamed of myself" The Gambler of Fate said to Xigbar. As the one eyed nobody got onto the ledge and hung upside down Luxord smiled it was always entertaining to see if one day Xigbar would fall. "yep the element to raise life into creation but unfortionately its an wave blessed with Death's blessing" Luxord said to Xigbar with an smirk on his face as he watched the wave.

 

Larxene wiggled the fingers that Demyx had previously touched and sighed. She shook her head, and opened a portal to the medical bay, before stepping through.
The air was cold in the room, and packed with shelf upon shelf of potions and whatnot. The air smelt musky and out-of-date, making the nymph’s small nose wrinkle slightly, and her eyes blink repeatedly. After Gexlion had entered here and grabbed some vials, he must have disturbed the settled dust on the shelves, forcing it to clutter the air with a choking aroma.
Coughing a few times, Larxene put her arm over her mouth and nose, scanning the room with squinted eyes. There must be an exhiler or whatever you call it in here. She did not usually take to potions to restore her health, and left it up to her own body to take care of that; normally potions were a sign of weakness, but hell, she was in pain and did not want to put up with this crap anymore.
Grabbing the closest glass vial to her, the Nymph swigged down the liquid and coughed again. It took a moment for the liquid to take effect, but when it did, she felt a hell of a lot better.
“...gotta use these things more often...†she mumbled, and opened another portal leading to the altar. She had to see Xemnas about her plan.

 

Xeol rolled out of the way the missed shot hit the damaged computer causing even more damage to the machine. "good job genious you just cause more damage to your precious computer" the fog weidler said with an smirk. "i just wonder if somebody that Cloud knows suddenly disappeard how much more his heart would fall into darkness" Xeol said with an cold smile on his face. Fog started to appear around Xeol's feet and spreaded all over the room.

 

Xigbar bounded from one cliff to another keeping his eye on Luxord. "Come on. Enough games for now, we'll see if the two humans could avoid a sudden encounter from me." He appeared on top of a roof only to spot Cloud and Leon a mile away as they were on top of a roof. "You know you're not going to surivive from being up there." His voice rang out without being seen.

Cloud abruptly turned around snapping out of his inner thoughts to only hear a mysterious voice. "Show yourself!" He held his sword out in front of him.

"As you wish," a bored reply came out of no where, revealing the senior member who was acting all causal. "To bad about this wave huh? Looks like it is going to destroy your whole town. Man I would hate to be in your shoes right now. Letting all of those bystanders perish like that. But what do you care? You don't know them right? And even if you did there is nothing you can do to stop the disaster. To bad he's not here," Xigbar was playing with Cloud's conscience and seeing how stone cold he had become.

Demyx had a feeling Xemnas would keep his word about having Gex keep an eye on him, but only for a short period of time. It was understandable and the melodious nocturne would get past that obstacle real soon. He had already heard the words he thought he never hear, being of someone of importance to the boss almost like a disfunctional family. Regardless what he had to do to earn Xemnas's respect, he would keep to his word of being obediant the best he could and hopefully no damn memories from his past as a human would intervene with that. He sighed to himself when the boss was lecturing Axel about not keeping his underling in line and how he was to blame for that. It was typical among the ranks, but now the situation would change as long as Xemnas got what he wanted. Lacking the fighting skills of the others, Demyx knew he had a challenge on his hands to earn the trust, but his element alone was just as powerful as the other members and if he could harness that energy and use it more efficiently then perhaps he wouldn't come out as being much of a failure. Standing close to the boss, he watched to see if Saix would say anything, but of course he kept to himself. Now knowing what to say to the leader of the organization, he rose up standing tall once more. "If that is what you wish, but it won't be permanent. For you see I want you to have some sense of hope in me and not have to be supervived like a child. Just so you know I'm almost a young adult who doesn't need to be watched like a hawk especially from someone I found, but you're the leader and who am I to argue with you? I will convince you otherwise by doing as you ask." One of his arms was at his side and the other one at his chest, the left area where his heart would be. "Thank you for giving me another chance and hearing me out."
