A Life to Lead ^_^

Leon nodded his head and followed after Cloud up the stairs. The brunette knew about the hidden places. Though he wondered what else that Cloud knew. Once he up he carefully closed the lever to the room so that no one would disturb him. "We are completely alone now."



Once again Axel was caught unaware of Xenmas's methods of torturing him. Before he knew it seem like an invinsible force had knocked him onto his stomach colliding it to the cold hard ground. Before the flurry could get to his feet a mighty force was slammed down to his back. He felt a couple of cracks, though, but at least Xemnas's didn't force his foot down into his spine. This time he did cry out in pain, as he listened to Xenmas's speech about the humans being preferred as dusks. Maybe the flurry hadn't been around too long to notice this, but anyway he couldn't get up. "How am I supposed to know if you keep everything to yourself? Then why did allow the contract to be written if it was a waste of our time? Even with a few powerful hearts it still isn't enough." He narrowed his eyes slightly as he didn't like this kind of treatment he was getting. The only thing he could think of was that it involved the two warriors.

Secretly the assassins sent by Axel were watching and surverying the area of Hallow Bastion. A few of them in the castle stayed near Axel's room as they were hearing events and conversations of other things. They couldn't be sensed, but his assassins had keen senses of hearing.

 

Tifa avoided looking at it, but nodded. "You're right...she would want that..." she murmured, rubbing her eyes tiredly. "She knew you all, anyhow. And Cloud....." she drifted off, then sighed, tying back her hair. "Do you know the way back to Cid's?" She asked, her tone cool now. There was work to do.

 

"Yeah ...follow me and we'll get there, but I can't promise I'll stay long.Cloud's different lately." Rude knew Cloud has fallen from his former glory, and wanted to avoid contact with him whenever he could.Turning on his heel, he headed back to Cid's, the mood of both growing depressing.

 

Tifa slipped her hand into her pocket, ready to have her gloves on at a moment's notice. "Alright." she murmured, mentally preparing herself. Xion was hopefully there, and if not...she would begin searching for the girl. SHe had promised.

 

"It is because I thought my soldiers were competent and smart. Don't you see? That contract was made to be broken. I only did it to placate Demyx and make sure the two hearts didn't attack us. I don't believe you know how strong these hearts are, how close we are. Just three more Axel. Think about it. Three more hearts, and we'll be complete again. We'll be able to laugh, cry, and be angry, truly be alive again. Don't you understand how close we are?"

 

Axel frown at the comment and he struggled to get up and finally rolled out of the way. Carefully he gotten on his feet ignoring the pained muscle aches from it and neck abrasions. He thought he had felt some other presences, but for now he kept his concentration on Xenmas. Even though the music from Demyx's room was distractive he ignored it. "Three hearts? Let's see," he counted them out with his fingers. "Aerith, Cloud and Leon?" He looked at the superior and now understood his method of doing things. "With the contract broken no one will be able to stop us." He smirked. "The thing is the guy who got away from me was Leon, the one I wanted to take his heart." He replied thinking of how easy it would be to grasp his heart now. He said in a soft tone. It was almost too good to be true. Even if what Xenmas said was true the flurry still had some doubts, but kept them to himself. To be whole again and more than an nothing seem satisfying. "Wait would we still have our powers and stuff?" He asked with concern. He couldn't picture himself having a heart without the use of his powers. Not really wanting to be mortal in a way.

 

Xemnas walked towards the sound, ignoring axel's last question. Demyx, that utter nusiance. He seemed to revel in bothering and ruining anything the superior tried to do. He would fix that. Right then and now.

"Axel, come."

Bowing, the masochist jumped through the portal and ended up in the castle. Strangly, he was just outside a room where music was coming from. He heard voices, familiar ones. Demyx and Larxene? Guess she was with them again. Still, there was that red head from before. Then again, maybe it wasn't him anymore, maybe it was mullet boy now.

He shook his head, clutching the heart he stole tightly. It looks like she'll never be satisfied.

 

Axel was a little confused and thought it was rude for Xenmas to ignore his question. Either way he followed him anyway down the stairs and into the whitish gray castle. The flurry sighed, but it hurt when he did that and place his hand over the exterior of the castle and began swiping his hand across it. The room they were heading towards was getting louder and in a way the flurry was glad that they were going to disturb Demyx and Larxene. The hell was the melodius noturne doing in that room? He guessed that the lightning nobody must of trapped him in there in order to persuade him or something or in fact torture him. Either way the fire nobody touched the force field and didn't even flinch from the electrical currents swarming through his body. He had a bone to pick with Larxene as well and didn't like her flocking to one guy or the other. Or in fact being ignored by her one tracked mind. Whose side was she really on? He would force it out of her, because he was not afraid of Larxene and could stand her rage terribly well. He noticed Gex and looked at he heart that he had his hand and shrugged as he looked at the door. "It seems that you are useful for something. Good job," He commented Gexlion. He then turned his attention to the door. "Go ahead boss break it down."


Saix followed as well to see where Xenmas was going. The Lunar Devine was unsasatified that Axel didn't get maimed for what he had pulled and thought that he had gotten off easy. Though the blue haired nobody would never question Xenmas even he was wrong or right.

Demyx couldn't let go of the gaze upon her eyes, he shifted closer towards her taking her hand into his own. "I said I would be there and protect you no matter what whether we are nobodies or become human. I will always hold that promise." He let go and then pulled out something else besides his instruments. It was a cd. Placing it into the cd player and amplying it with the speakers, he would show off another one of his skills and that was his dancing. He would express how he felt through that artisitic talant of his.

He began moving his shoulders back and forth to the beat moving closer towards her, he then took her hand and swung her in a circle quickly, his hips moving back and forth with his arms now over his head, singing just the chorus. His moves would speak for themselves.

"I just have a feeling that something is wrong and... I just needed to talk to you about it." Cloud began to pace around. "What are your thoughts on this?" He wouldn't go furthur until he heard what he had to say.

Xigbar looked into the sky and thought of where the two humans would be and also what Luxord had mentioned. "Now if I were them, where would I hide or run off to?" He scratched his head. "I have to think like a human. How boring is that?" he laughed to himself and then at Luxord. "Got any ideas?"

 

Luxord laughed at what Xigbar said then he had to actually he havnt been an mortal since ever. "hmm" The Gambler said as he crossed his arms letting one of his arm up letting the hand curved down infront of his lips doing his signature thinking pose. "the mortal are probally being engulfed by bitter sadness so they are having an conversation and privacy would be importent" The Gambler of Fate said to Xigbar trying to figure out where their targets where.

 

Okay. So, this situation wasn't the safest to be in; unless she had complete trust in the person at hand, Larxene had the initial reaction of attacking anyone who dare touch her in any way. The Nymph had to focus to stop the electricity from pulsing through her hands and into his.
As a way to distract her senses from electrocuting Demyx half to fading, Larxene listened to the words sang over the heavy bass music, and closed her eyes. It was easy enough to catch onto what the words were, and more so, what the words meant.

With the reopening of her eyes, the Nymph looked at Demyx with a hint of curiosity in her eyes. Was this stunt pulled on purpose?

 

Not wasting a moment, the superior balled his fist and threw it at the room, past the forcefield, past the heavy door, killing the mood that was on the other side. He was in no mood or situation to let the mullet boy play his absolute nonsense. He saw that Gex had returned, with another heart no doubt. At least he could count on him.

 

Demyx stopped after the song was repeating seeing her question him in this way with the way she was looking at him. "Oh um..." he placed his hand behind his head being totally embarrased that he let his inner child or teen slip since he wanted to impress her. "Yeah I forgot. I wasn't thinking about how you would feel about this. Um..." he sat on the bed, his face a brillant red as he played with his fingers. "I just wanted to impress you. Not make you feel uncomfortable in anyway." He hit himself in the forehead and shook his head. "I won't do that again unless you say otherwise. Um... I .. uh... " he was tripping all over himself right now and biting his lower lip, licking it with his tongue and then placed it back in his mouth. "So yeah.... I can dance too..." he said quietly for the music had stopped now and was followed by a loud noice. Whipping his head around, he stared into the orange orbs of the Superior and froze like a deer in headlights. "Uh... hi boss..." he softly said not expecting to see him.

"Oh yeah so all we got to do is find out where they are feeling sorry for themselves. I guess we can check every inch of this town." Xigbar answered back to Luxord. "Maybe they are getting drunk in a bar or something?"

 

"No, it's o-" Larxene stopped at her last word. A completely new presence. Oh great. This is all we need right now; a whole face full of Xemnas.
The Nymph turned, looking at the superior who was in her room. She acknowledged his presence with a swift nod, and folded her arms tightly across her abdomen. "My liege." She greeted her superior accordingly. "What might be the problem?" With a false face of curiosity, she turned her blonde head to the side slightly. Her and Demyx were so dead.
Demyx.
Swiftly, as fast as she could manage, the Nymph grabbed Demyx by the collar and stood his frozen body up beside her. Hopefully this lecture would not last long.

 

The superior stared at the two, framed in the doorway. His vision was acting strange. Everything was turning red and his left eye twitched. The oaf brought the traitor back. He was going to deliver a punishment beyond his normal parameters.

Quick as a blur, Xemnas grabbed the two bad eggs by their cloak collars. Yanking, he dragged the two, shoes scuffing, towards the altar.

Gex's eyes snapped open. It was larxene. He didn't believe it, what was worse was she was in danger. She'd probably get killed, xemnas' twitch was more than enough evidence. With a concerned trot, he followed the three, hoping he could prevent any damage that would be done, or at least redirect it on himself.

 

His world had been turned upside down. Once he was feeling light as a feather and now heavy as a stone. "No boss!" He exclaimed, his voice was high pitched for a second as he felt the tight grasp of a black leather glove whist right past his head and seize him from the back of his head where his hood lay motionessly still. "Don't do this. I can explain!" Gasping, his lungs constricted as if a snake had gotten hold of him squeezing the very life out of him. "Help!" Coughing violently he forced himself to breathe, trying to get out of his strong grip. Blinking, his eyes had some tears racing to them as he saw the same thing happend to the savage nymph. Forcing himself to look away, he clenched his eyes closing them tightly, his power pulsating inside of him to be released to help defend himself against Xemnas. No, there was something he would have his power do. Snapping his fingers, he dissolved his sitar off of Larxene's bed as it returned it to his room with a swift motion from his hand. Now it was safe and could be called upon when needed. Opening his azure terrified eyes he screamed out of panic. "Listen to reason! You need the both of us! " Sniffing he tried to break free for his life was was in danger now. He had no clue what was going to happen for he had never seen the boss appear that perturbed like he was ready to kill. Shaking with fear from head to toe, he let out an inaudiable noise as he was flung in another direction, his hood still attached and being held on to. This swift motion made his stomach churn a bit, as he swallowed his salvia to ease it. He directed his water in that region as well to settle it. Coughing he stuck his tongue out, panting like a cat or dog as his breath quickend. "I'm so dead," was all that he could ponder about and what tortorous act Xemnas would commit.

Bringing his tongue back in his mouth, his eyes glanced at Axel's own making the water wielder turn directly away ashamed to have his superior see him in the shape he was in. The musician along with the savage nymph were being dragged by their hoods down the many halls, and up the stairs to that fateful meeting place the Altar of Naught where the heart overlooked the world. It was like a place of judgement, where Demyx assumed he and Larxene were being brought to their execution. "Larxene I'm sorry this had to happen." He did his best not to cry or whine, but it was very difficult to prevent and hold in. Thinking of his other friends, he could only assume never being able to set foot on Hollow Bastion again. "I never got to say goodbye to Cloud," Demyx sadly thought of his new friend and how he may never see him again. "Find peace Cloud. That is all I want for you." His mind repeated this to himself. Swallowing a lump in his throat, he reached out his hand to comfort her even though it was impossible to do as easily with the position they both were in. "We'll get through this together." He wanted her to be strong and know he was there as he promised he would be. Sadly he thought about how he jsut acquired a career to make munny and enjoy the pleasures of life and the agreement they both made in the room where he would watch over her to protect her, where she would assist him with his fighting, where she would not be alone or fade into the darkness by herself. Now that was wishful thinking compared to what they had to face, but he was still willing to believe if she would.

 

The walk to Cid's was unusually quiet, but it couldn't be helped.Aerith was cold, dead in his hands, swaying only as he went.He made occasional glances towards her to be sure she was okay, and he thought that perhaps he was underestimating her willpower.She would be okay..she was Tifa Lockhart, after all.

"We're here .." he announced to her, stopping in front of the door.He gently prodded on the door three times with his foot, hoping Cid was still awake.

"Old town, new trouble .." muttered a silver-haired young man as he stepped along the cold grounds of Hollow Bastion.His cast was raised up, but his other arm freely went back and forth as he walked along.Leaving Kyrie alone was a hard thing to do, but with the cultists out of the picture he was certain her brother could handle things for a while.Now he was here, trying to stop another ground of insane killers from spreading all over, killing innocents and wreaking havok.If they ended up taking this pleace, then what next? His own hometown?

Hell no.

And this sling, which held his special arm, was now irritating him a little as he descended some steps towards the Restoration Committee's home building.Right now he'd use any excuse to get some exercise, but he was going to hold back on that urge.Cast or not, he was protecting people, not murdering them.

 

Cid heard the door and stopped his snoring as he went to answer. He yawned loudly as he had recently gone off to smoke his cigarette and then put it out because he didn't want to hear the complaints when Leon or Cloud. "All right, I am coming," He scratched his back and then swung the door open seeing Rude and Tifa and then an depression seemed to watch out on his face when he saw the cold corpe of Aerith. "Thank you Tifa and Rude. The others will appreaciate this. Does Tsung know yet?"



Leon absentedmindly watched the warrior pace through the room and knew that he had other thoughts in his mind. "I think that we can't trust the nobodies. Even the one that you call a friend. Axel wants me dead and I can't go near him. I think that the Turks are the only ones who can help stop the nobodies from ridding our world of chaos. They want their hearts and will do anything to obtain them."


Axel cringed when he saw that the two nobodies were thrusted by their cloak collars and then dragged towards the alter of naught. In a way he thought they deserved it as he was hurt that Demyx had gone out of his way to not help him with the flood. Of course he followed, but made sure he was close to them so that they could see his perturbed expression. "Demyx, what the hell is wrong with you? You were supposed to get rid of the water since you caused it. How can any of us collect hearts if you leave it in the condition that you have it in?" He glared darkly at the Melodious Noturne and smacked him hard in the face and slapped Demyx's hand away from Larxene when he heard him talking to Larxene that "we will get through this together nonsense crap". "Shut up, and stop kissing ass to this traitorous shrew. You lower excuse of an nothing. I can't believe you deceived my order." He added though in his defense Axel was protecting Larxene from some certain someone not being mentioned and he hoped that she appreciated it.
"I am sick of being left out of everything that I should know and she keeps giving me the cold shoulder by acting like I don't exist and then she flirts with you and Luxord and then some other guys. It is damn annoying. How the **** do you think I feel about that? Why do I even bother....." He admitted his eyes showing highlights of the fire in them. He was beyond pissed off now and wanted to beat the living **** out of Demyx and Larxene himself. If he had his way he would burn their bodies until they cried for mercy and then he wouldn't out of spite give them any. "You better not protect her this time, because you would be stupid if you do, I promise you that. You will be dead if you do," He threatened. He was giving Demyx a choice now. His assassins had heard their little conversation, but he wasn't going to say anything about it.

 

"...It's Tseng ..and I'm not certain." Rude responded as he stepped inside, determined to find a bed or anything he could to set her on."Cid, find me a place to set her down ..it's time we make funeral arrangements." he said silently to the smoker.

Tifa smiled sadly, then went upstairs to find Yuffie. She could hear the girl crying already. She was just alittle more then a kid....probably a little older then Xion at this rate. Sighing as she realized she had no idea how old Xion was, she knocked on Yuffie's door.
