A Life to Lead ^_^

"..Really?..what happened?" Rude asked her.If she'd become a Turk then it would be much easier seeing her and getting to know her. He would have had an excuse to be with her.Up ahead he saw someone laying on the ground, but with the mass of brunnete hair covering their face he couldn't make out who it was.They might need help.

Rude jogged over towards that figure.

 

Smack.

The sound of the resonated against the cold, pale wall of the Altar. If it was possible, Xemnas coated himself in rage and dissappointment, focusing it through is amber eyes. His back hand was swift and calculated that he delivered on to the red head, as they say, to set the mood.

"I need to discuss something with you, something far overdue."

 

Larxene listened to what Demyx had played. It was an interesting piece, yes, but not exactly all-out. It wasn’t what she had expected; she was at least expecting something a little more heavily played and structured. Heck, the verses could do with some palm muting in trebles, and the synth needed tuning up a little.
Definition wasn’t one of the key features, she could certainly see that.
With less than a moment to blink, the Nymph was at the synthesizer, examining the controls and switch. “Demyx, you’re an idiot.” She sighed, turning the treble switch higher, and the bass a little lower. “How the hell do you get yourself dressed on a morning? You can’t even set a synth to the right settings, one of the simplest jobs in this damn world, and yet you can play that stupid sitar thing?”
With a roll of her eyes, she looked at the bass track being played on the synth. How stupid could this buffoon get? Quickly, she changed the track to a slower pace, and levelled out the distribution of voice and music through the speakers.
Slowly, she walked back so the she was infront of the nocturne. “You’re hard work, you know.” She smirked, looking up at him.

 

Tifa hesitated. "My father..." she stopped seeing what Rude was going to, and reached out to stop him. She knew exactly what it was. "Rude, you don't.." her hand grabbed air. "Rude, don't!"

 

Roxas's eyes widen slightly at this and he stayed hidden and looked at Xion. "Xigbar will find us if we don't get out of this world," He replied as he began to think of what to do. Luckily for them there were many alleys, but still nobodies could good keen senses when it came to lurking out ones that they were looking for. "I'll fight him if I have to make sure that he doesn't catch us," He replied.

Axel felt the full force of the slap knocking him into a pillar against the wall. He arched his neck a bit as he examined the hit with his throbbing cheek felt by his hand. He was not aware that Xenmas would do such a thing to him, but it sure as hell hurt. If this was someone else he would of been more confrontational and they would be asking for a death wish, but with this individual being the 'god like' nobody himself he refrained from doing anything. He stepped back to his feet though it felt awkward of his back now hurting and the back of his head pulsating as well. The flurry tried to not show his pain, but was very bad at it. "What did I do wrong this time?" The flurry replied almost in a annoyed tone though he still held his arms crossed as it was his stance and he was upset of being attacked like that.

 

Xion shook her head. "Tifa has a safe home for us. We just have to wait it out." She closed her eyes, trying to fight the flood of images. "What should we do in the meantime? We can't go back there, where do we go?"

 

"Axel"

The superior stepped down from the altar, each step heavy with purpose and athourity. He stood infront of the fire child, almost towering over him.The flurry was many things. Stupid wasn't one of them.

"Do you remember a certain incident, where you virtually destroyed an entire world. Refresh my memory. What world was that?"

 

Roxas hesitated as he kept his eyes starring out in certain parts of the world. He hoped that he didn't see Xigbar lurking about. He knew how the senior nobody was and could be spying on them for all he knew as the one eyed nobody was a mastery of eavesdropping. "We need to stay clear from Xigbar, thought. You mean we go live someone where else? But I can't leave Axel." He sighed as he hugged Xion to him. "What kind of friend would I be?"


Axel backed up a few inches so that Xenmas wasn't entirely in his face in the back of his mind he could picture Saix enjoying every minute of this. Smirking deviously and laughing at him in a creepy way. Intimidation was Xemnas's game and the flurry didn't like it one bit. His attention was thrown together when his name was spoken and he knew that it was meant business. "Hallow Bastion," The tone was more bitter than usual as if almost with resentment in it. He raised his hand over his head and scratched it again trying to think of something to say to make him understand his point of view over things. Ah ha and he got it. "You were the one who ordered us to look for more nobodies and I found my target, but he got away. Now with the stupid contract that you agreed to, it takes away everything that we are known for. I wanted to make sure that he didn't get away, but what difference does it make if I destroyed a town or world? You still got your hearts." He was doing his best to remain unemotionless, but he wasn't doing a very good job at it. The pyromaniac knew he only took the lives of a 101 people, but he wouldn't dare correct Xenmas if he thought he destroyed an entire world.

 

Demyx tried not to throttle her for she was making fun of him as a musician and was insulting him. He just closed his eyes and looked up at the ceiling trying not to let her words get to him. Stupid sitar thing? It was his love and joy, the very thing he used to fight and entertain himself. Of course he had others besides his sitar, electric guitars to be exact, but the sitar or Arpeggio he referred it as what his life was all about. Making it appear, he held it in his arms and hugged it, keeping it close to him at all times. Laying it down on the bed, he kept it where he could grab it easy. "Yeah I know Iam, but maybe I was testing you to see how much knowledge you actually do have." He leaned closer towards her, their eyes hinting a mysterious connection that was beginning to come to the surface. "Are you sure you don't want to help me with my new job? I would be willing to give you a fair share of my profits. Think of what you could buy with it. I know there is something that must excite you. Something that you have always wanted." His orbs seemed to have a sparkle in them as he then brought his hand out to her. "Join me and we'll take Hollow Bastion and the other worlds by storm. Think of the possibilites this will bring."

Xigbar had been searching for a few hours when he finally came upon a body that was lying in the water. With his right hand, he picked Gex up and placed him on a patch of moist ground. He shook him and then slapped him in the face to get his attenton. "Hey wake up. You've been out for awhile I can tell."

Cloud was greatful that Leon had made Cid go outside to smoke his cigarette especially when it was bothering him. Now the whole place smelled like smoke. Sighing he opened up all the windows to get the toxic fumes out. "I hate it when he does that," he coughed afterwards. "He has to remember not to do that around here, but I'm glad that you took care of it" He walked over to the main computer frame and thought about the events that had taken place. "So Yuffie is mourning, and Cid gave Rufus information about the Organization. Leon this is a huge problem. I don't want them to come over here and try to kill Cid if they find out he is the one that gave the information to the Turks." He sat in the chair Cid had been sitting in and then quickly got up for it was to unbearable. "Oh... I can't work under these conditions," he coughed again, walked over to the kitchen, got a glass, filled it with water and began to drink it. "At least our lines didn't get effected," he said to Leon not noticing any bursts or anything when he had got his water. Drinking gradually, he thought of his friend who had done this and would question him later on why and for what reason the town got flooded for.

 

"Yes you did Axel. You destroyed a large district, taking many, all worthless."

The nobody's stare amplified. It seemed like he was trying to melt the nobody that caused him this inconvenience.

"What you did was alert them to our actions, giving them a reason to unite against us."

not wasting a moment, Xemnas shot out his hand and throttled the red head.

"Now we have these fools, these...turks. They will cause us problems and I might not be able to control the contract the way I planned."

Coughing up water, Gex looked upon the nobody that saved him. He didn't recognize him. For that, he clutched the heart he aquired tightly.

"Who are you? Who do you work for? Why did you save me?"

 

Looking straight into the eyes of the Nocturne, Larxene raised one eyebrow in a tentative manner. Yes, Demyx had drawn her immediate attention by using the word munny, but could she really travel? Leave Reno?
I don’t want to leave Reno alone again, it would be wrong... But think of the munny I could make along the way. I would be literally swimming in the stuff. I could but a ton of clothes... Clothes! I could wear my own clothes! I haven’t been out of this damn uniform since we were at destiny islands, and I had my swimsuit on. It would really be nice to escape from this world, as the whole facade of day-in-day-out work is getting rather monotonous, and that could be classed as an understatement.
Her azure eyes were still connected with his as she thought through everything, identifying Demyx’s black glove pointed out towards her. She couldn’t possibly take it; there was hardly any trust between the two, and obviously the superior would not be content in this idea.
On the other hand, what would the superior say about her being with Reno? He would most certainly kill her on the spot, and that was one of the key features of why it wouldn’t work between them. The cogs fit between the nobody and the Turk, but there was an internal problem beyond fixation.
But the munny.
Slowly, she extended her arm and hand, slightly uneasy of what she was about to do. Before making full contact with the nobody, the Nymph pulled her hand back an inch in hesitation.
“Only on one condition...†Larxene warned, letting her hand hover in the air. “I’ll keep my promise that I made, if you...†Her eyes shifted downwards as she licked her lips in another wave of hesitation. “...Look after me, okay? I don’t know why I am asking this, but I just feel like I need some form of reassurance that you aren’t going to go all pissy on me and just go again..â€
I’m such an idiot.

 

Leon shrugged his shoulders, but he sighed as he heard that Cloud was talking about the information about the organization. "Cloud, when I was with Sora I faxed the information to Cid, but it just took a while to get to him because of the supernatural disasters." He confessed. In a way the organization couldn't harm Cid now.



Axel's eyes widen when he felt a forceful grip upon his neck and throttling him as if he was a rag doll. The flurry could hardly breathe now and knew that he needed to protect himself from sufficating so the flame dancer pushed the superior's hands off him. "Oh come on, you can't do this to one of your best warriors? I was only doing what you told me to do. How was I supposed to know that they were weak hearts?" He choked out as in half complaining as he held his neck which seem to have abrasions and piercing on it now. His neck was stinging and he started coughing his breathing becoming more erratic because of the fierce grip that was on it. The flurry had sent his assassins and a couple dusks to observe the turks and found that there were only four of them. Axel only met two of them though. In a way he wanted to protect Reno who thought of him of being a good guy or helping the town out. Even with a few of their weapons he saw them as no threat. The only way they could be is if they knew someone who had a higher power or supernatural instincts like the nobodies. If that was the flurry would have to make a choice to save his own ass. "They aren't a threat to us. Why should we be afraid of a bunch of humans who have no powers?" He resided this as the humans in the world in general which had ammunition and such. "If we wanted we could take all of Hallow Bastion into slavery, but then it might complicate things. The contract though hasn't helped us one bit," He tried to convince his superior. "It is not my fault that I haven't been given any orders lately.".

Hiding in the dark was no other that the other nobody who was glad that Axel was getting what was coming to him. He smirked when he saw Xenmas had throttled Axel, but he frowned when the flurry had broken free of it. In his mind he was laughing to himself and hoped that Axel's punishment would be severe.

 

Demyx couldn't believe what he just heard. Was he dreaming? Did she actually want him to be there for her and to protect her? This had to be a dream. Larxene was to proud to admit she had doubts and felt lonely as it was. Smiling and gasping and then calming down, he was now laughing with pleasure, his spirits rose and he felt the connection growing. She would want to be with him, he would look after her like an older brother, a good friend, a boyfriend even, but that was to soon. That would have to develop depending on her. He wasn't going to push for that. Time would only tell. Calming down, he caught his breath and then starred at her, a friendly warm grin on his features. "Of course. I laughed at myself, not you of course. I'm just filled with happiness knowing you are placing your trust in me and it gives me another purpose, like I was meant to do something so much more then just get hearts. I will be there for you Larxene. You don't know how much this means to me." Without thinking he embraced her and quickly let go not wanting to push it. "Sorry sometimes I can't help myself," he blushed and placed his hand behind his head feeling sheepish.

Xigbar laughed and looked at the guy with question. "What you don't recgonize me? Oh come on let's use that memory of yours. I'm wearing an organization cloak, and I'm the second one in the organization. Maybe your brain can figure that one out unless you're still water logged," he eyed him down on the ground at the wet mess he was. "I know who you are Gexion."

Cloud leaning over the computer was not going to sit in the chair, and he looked over his shoulder at Leon. "That makes sense, but you and I both know something negative is going to happen from this. I need to talk to you alone in one of the rooms where no one can see or hear us. It's concerning the contract Leon," Cloud walked out of the kitchen after drinking his water and pulled down a hidden lever that led up to another floor upstairs. Pulling the ladder down from above the room, he began to climb it, took out a key to open the lock and crawled up inside, standing at the top waiting for Leon to do the same.

 

Luxord walked getting to Xigbars side he looked at Gex. "its quet pleasent we found you Gex i hope you do remember me unless you unfortionatly forgotten about me" The Gambler of Fate said to the man. Then he looked at Xigbar "now with one objective sucessfully completed dear free shooter we need to find the two pitiful mortals" Luxord said to Xigbar. The Gambler of Fate looked at the massochist once again "now you make hast back to the superior and dont dwindle your time" The Gambler of Fate said to Gex.

 

"But she might need-" Rude skid to a halt beside the figure, its figure and hair now clearer to him. He recognized that appearance, this look ...this corpse.Slowly he knelt down beside it, not daring to touch her yet.It couldn't be ...not her."..Help." he finished, looking back at Tifa.Did she know?

 

Sighing, Xemnas threw axel to the ground and stepped on his back. Guess he was stupid after all.

"Humans are like dusks, weak, but dangerous in numbers. Second, the contract wasn't supposed to help us. Don't you understand what I was doing?

Gexlion nodded blankly. He was too tired to say anything else. the taste of death was still heavy on his tongue. He never saw the one with the eyepatch, but he at least saved him. He probably was part of the organization.

"May you open a portal for me then, if you could sir. I am rather tired."

 

Tifa closed her eyes, feeling tears gather. "She's beyond help, Rude. She's dead." the words fell from her lips bitterly. "Killed a few hours ago. That's why I'm getting Xion away, why I'm so..." she held back the flood of words. "She's gone."

 

Luxord looked at Xigbar "ill do the honor free shooter" he said politly to the one eyed nobody. The Gambler looked towards the left of Gex opening an void for the man to walk into "there you go Gex" he said to the Messochist. Then he turned his attention back to Xigbar "we could have easily avoided this trouble if we thoughtfully turned those pitifull mortals into nobodys like ourselfs" the gambler of fate said to the free shooter.

 

Hearing the words come from Tifa's own precious lips, Rude couldn't find any excuse to make things better.Aerith, the one who bound the team that defeated Sephiroth together, was now with the lifestream in The Planet.He recognized her as a wonderful woman ..but to Shinra, she was just an Ancient, and a material thing. At least, that's how it was the last time they talked about Aerith, which was quite some time ago.

Slowly he looked back towards Aerith's wet, cold corpse.The eyes were slightly opened, and as a last attempt to have her corpse somewhat presentable, he placed two fingers to her eyelids and shut them completely."..If you'll leave, shouldn't we ..or you, give her a proper burial for those who knew Aerith? Some of the Turks might want to pay their respects." he explained, slipping his arms under Aerith's body and gently picking her limp body up as if she was his new bride.

 

Larxene tensed for a moment, still looking up at Demyx as he embraced her. He had a very... clean essence around him, like water, but...more definable. She relaxed as soon as he let go, inhaling deeply to catch the last bit of his scent that lingered in the air around her in a few seconds of delay of his swift body movement. It was odd to feel that sort of thing, and not have it accompanied by the musky smell that Reno held on his clothes and skin.
“I won’t bite.†She smirked slightly, Demyx’s intimidated expression causing the Nymph to giggle slightly; Demyx could be entertaining sometimes, which could count as a plus factor as to how the two would get along in certain situations.
Somewhere in the back of her mind, a small sigh of relief was released as a reaction to Demyx’s answer. He seemed so obliged to look after Larxene when they were in other worlds... She was unsure what aspect of this situation frightened her more; knowing she would be alone with Demyx, or knowing that she had to keep her promise.
“I’m...glad that you are okay with that. Although my loyalties to the organisation could be questioned, you know that you can somehow trust me, right?†Again, she looked into Demyx’s eyes; there, she could tell of his certainty, and whether he was going to trust the Nymph when placed in his situation.
No, not his situation.. Their situation.
