A Knights Tale

Eva sighed. She wondered vaguely if she had made a mistake coming here. He didn't need her....but she would see this through, for now. She had no other attachments to him. Steadying her horse, she kneeled down beside him.

 

"Well...I got shot in the leg with a...flameing arrow." said Felix avoiding to make eye contact with both Eva and Yume. "It's not serious thought."

 

yume's eyes widened.
"YOU WHAT?!"
she stared at her brother in disbelief.

 

Eva sighed. "We were attacked. I fought with a bow, and he fought with a sword. Apparently, he thought to lie about how serious the injury was." she sighed.

 

yume looked at eva and then back at felix.
she chuckled a little.
"that sounds just like felix. oh! i'm sorry. we haven't been introduced yet have we?"
yume glanced at her brother, giving him a thanks-for-the-introductions look.
she then looked back at eva.
"i'm yume, felix's sister, but you probably already know that. and you are?"

 

Eva smiled slightly. "I know all about you, Princess Yume." she bowed awkwardly, because of her shoulder. "I'm Evangeline. Eva for short." She hoped the girl wouldn't remember where she had seen her before. It had been a past and lifetimes ago.

 

"oh dear! there's no need to bow. it's a pleasure to meet you eva."
yume looked at her.
"are you all right? don't tell me you're hurt as well?"

 

Seto sat at the edge of the hill and watched the sunset. What am I to do. Can I truly go out with my plan to kill the king. Yume...but can I just let my loved ones and the other innocent to die in vain. Seto remember someone he had forgotten for years. What would you do?

 

Eva smiled. "Just a scratch." She didn't remember. Good. "We had best get the Prince inside." she looked around.

 

yume acted as if she forgot felix was sitting right next to her.
"you're joking, right? felix isn't going to go back inside. he doesn't even like being this close to the castle."
she thought for a moment.
"well...i could try MY healing magic. granted i haven't used it in a long time but it couldn't hurt, could it?"

 

Eva smiled. "If need be, I can protect you and him." she murmured, leaning against the wall.

 

yume smirked.
"that's all right. i need to go back to the katano camp soon anyways. i promised seto i wouldn't be gone long and now i've been at the castle for quite some time today."
she looked back towards the woods.

 

"Katano?" had she heard right? "You're with the Katano?"

 

Llednar called for a few knights since they are outside the castle walls "bandage the prince, guard him with your life" he said as one of the guards picked him up "sorry Felix this is coming from high authority, you can't miss this" he said. "Yenzo i trust you know tonight is the ball.... and my father will be there so I must show i can handle the situation" he sighed "no.... Eva.... she is not with those scum... the Kanato are thieves, wretches and street rats that aren't allowed in our city, so how do you know about them?" he said suspiciously, and overwhelmed to keep on top of the situation

 

yume stared at her, not sure how to word what she was going to say.
"...well...yes...and no...i mean...i'm not like an actual member...i'm...not sure what i am really. i'm just with seto...is all. i want all the fighting to stop, so i'm doing what i can now. i hadn't even met anyone from the katano before until i was kidnapped a few days ago."
yume stood up.
"it's really complicated. i'm still a Tenturus and i'll always be a Tenturus, and while i'm not actually a member of the katano...it...it feels like a new home when i'm there. i don't know..."

 

Llednar was startled "wh..what! why would you possibly.... him.... that Seto.... you speak of.. he was the one who kidnapped you?"

 

yume looked at sir twem.
"w-well...yes...but he's actually very sweet. he's the reason i'm back at the castle now."
yume wrapped her arms around llendar's neck and gave him a pleading face.
"please...don't tell papa. i just want all this fighting to end...and i want to do what i can to help stop it. he's really not as bad of a man as he seems."
yume looked sir twem in the eyes and hers were filled with concern.
"i just want everyone to be happy."

 

Llednar felt sad... almost betrayed.... "i will do as you ask miss but just this once.... but never again..."

 

yume could see the hurt on his face, which made her feel horrible.
"i'm really sorry sir twem. i promise i wont ever ask something like this of you again."
yume gave him a kiss on the cheek and then unwrapped her arms from him and looked at her brother.
"felix, we'll talk later. i'll see you all tonight."
she turned to look at twem.
"i really am sorry and i greatly appreciate it. i know it goes against almost everything you believe in. you're a really good person sir twem."
yume walked off to her garden so she could take the tunnel back out of the castle.
i dont mean to hurt anybody...honest...
