A Knights Tale

Llednar held up a red card "arrest him!" he yelled as the judge ran towards Phenox, the judge made an aura around him
"any attempt to break free will administer a painful sublethal shock to the heart, now drop your weapon and walk!" the judge said

 

yume smiled as seto put his sword away.
"thank you."
she then removed her arms from him and let him lead the way.

 

Phenox was surrounded. "heh. not bad." he dropped his weapon. "looks like i'm done..."

 

Seto took her by the hand. "Come on. I know a secret underground lair we can stay in." Seto ran with Yume beside him.

 

"it appears so" he laughed a little
"walk forward, the prison is town the street, lucky for you" he led Phenox

 

"all right"
yume trailed behind seto as fast as she could with him pulling her.
i hope i did the right thing. i know he wanted to fight...but...but...i just cant let him go...

 

Phenox walked forward. "so.... how i be executed?" Phenox asked with a warm smile.

 

Seto lead her to a staircase that lead down into the ground. "This use to be where my master would train me." He took her into the lair. The rooms were massively carved underground. "We can stay here for a while."

it's so BIG in here...and rather dark...oh well...
she sighed internally.
i really hope i did the right thing...

Seto snapped his fingers and lights turned on. He lead her to a relaxation room. "You should probably get some sleep."

 

yume looked at him.
"all i've been doing is sleep."
she when to go sit down on a comfortable looking chair.

 

"Well, then what do you want to do?" Seto asked her. I can't stay here for more than 3 days. My men will charge if I don't send them some form of message.

 

yume looked at him.
"is something the matter?"

 

Seto looked at her. "Well, I'm kinda lost. I'm not sure what to do next. What do you think, Yume?"

 

yume walked up to him and grabbed his hands in hers.
as she stood there holding his hands she looked him in the eyes.
i really have to quit being such a selfish princess...
"seto, if there's something important you must do right now, then do it. i'm really sorry. i've been acting so selfish. begging you not to do all these things for me when it's not what you wanted. i'll be fine by myself for awhile. you..."
yume swallowed the pain that was building up in her throat.
she had to say it.
"...need to watch your men so nothing happens. i can take care of myself until you return."

 

Seto looked deep into her eyes. "Yume..." Seto held her close to him. "I'm not gonna leave you. We'll stay here for a while."

 

the sudden embrace startled her but she got over it quickly.
snuggling her face in his chest she wrapped her arms around his torso.
"i would love nothing more than for you to stay with me."
yume then lifted her head up out of his chest to look at him.
"but you have responsibilities to your men. you must go back. for all you know someone could be dead right now."
she cringed at the thought of someone dying.
"i dont want you to go, but you need to. dont you?"
yume looked at him with question in her eyes.

 

Seto was surprised by her grabbing onto him. He looked down at her. "Well, a knight's duty is to protect those around him. And you're the only one around me at the moment."

 

yume smiled on the inside when he said this.
she wanted nothing more than for him to stay with her, but she couldnt have him choose her over his people, so she did something she knew would hurt.
yume looked at him with a very serious face.
"last time i checked...you were no longer a knight."
she didnt think that would be enough but just trying to hurt him, hurt her even more.

 

Seto heard her words trying to get him to leave. "But I live by the way of the knight, so I am one. But if I do leave...your coming with me."
