Well, in Inuyasha, Inuyasha and Kagome didn't kiss until the second movie, so it could be the same with Kairi and Sora.

I mostly agree with what a lot of people are saying on this issue but I gotta add a little something. :)

So here's the main reason why I dont think it happened. We all know for starters that Sora and Kairi have some kinda uber strong heart connection thingy, so they can probably tell that they like each other, but I dont buy that they would be able to like completely read each others emotions and stuff like that.

So I just think that when they met each other again in TWTNW, either one of them probably didnt want to risk kissing the other just in case they were like "whoa what the heck are you doing? I like you but not like THAT"
I think the main issue is just either 1. being shy or 2. the fact that they were still technically friends.

All in all though, I like to think that in the end when the credits roll, when we see Sora in the Secret Spot and he sees the drawing, that he realizes that she really does love him back--so I like to think that after he sees that he acts on it. But hey, I think they left it open just so that none of the fans who set up their own pairings would get upset. I can just see the irritated looks on the faces of the SoraxRiku fans and other such groups.

Anyways, yea I have to agree with you, it's too soon for Sora and Kairi. Plus they may not even be in the next game. As for Riku, I have to agree again, also, he may be scared to be rejected because of the time he was in the darkness.

 

IIRC Nomura has said in an interview or such that KH is not supposed to have a canon main pairing, and seeing how much money the fangirls are already showering them with because of RikuSora and other fun stuff, making Sora and Kairi kiss wouldn't necessarily be a wise move from them. :D Besides if they had done so, what purpose would it serve for the plot?
Square is safer not blatantly stating any pairing as canon. Less or more subtle hinting towards a million different directions is enough to keep fans happy and interested.

I have no idea what I'm talking about. Also I'm totally biased since if this had been about a RikuSora kiss, I'd be on an entirely different stand.

 

Yeah they should of because it's like a tradition but Kingdom hearts is more of an action game not love story if you get me.

 

They might later on in the series. I don't think they were that far into their relationship in KH2. You could expect in the one of the next games since Sora found the Paopu Fruit drawing in the Secret Place in KH2. But, ya never know.

Man,It would've been so awesome if Roxas and Namine kissed in that one scene near the end when they were talking.

I honestly don't like SoKai....

though It would have been Romantic if Sora and Kairi kissed when they hugged.

 

It isn't really about what Nomura wants in this situation. Disney owns Sora, Riku, and Kairi. Nomura designed them, but Disney owns them, not Square. And what exactly is Disney famous for? They're big cliche prince-and-princess movies. And so in that regard, I find it entirely possible.

...Just stating my opinion .____. . I think they should SOMETIME.

You know, since pretty much every Disney movie ends with a kiss, and Kingdom Hearts isn't over (nor seems that it will for a while), perhaps they're waiting for the last installment?

I think it should have, but like has already been said, they might be waiting for the very last installment. That would make it sweeter.

And I agree with the Selphie having a crush on Riku. You notice how she remembers Riku and not Sora, then again that may have been because the memories of everyone that was connected to Sora were effected. Maybe that was it.
