A King's Story 4: Fading Light

Amai had just finished decorating her cake. She smiled at her work. She picked it up and placed in in the counter display.

Kiku thought for a moment. "Well actually, I just love being here. It's relaxing."

 

L walked past the display then stopped, he turned slowly and gazed at it through the window.

 

"Yeah, I'll give you that one but it's just so boring here, nothing ever happens" Kaia kicked a stone on the ground.

 

Amai smiled as she fixed it. She looked up. She blushed instantly, seeing the boy at the window. She turned around, hoping her would leave.

 

He walked closer to the window, so close infact that he headbutted it.

 

"It's better than chaos." Kiku looked to the sky.

Please go away. Please go away. Amai thought to herself.

 

Lawliet Glanced up then back at the cake. He suddenly looked up again, realising he was being watched, and blushed.

 

Oh no. Now he's looking at me. Amai tried her best not to blush more.

 

L blushed a little more and stepped back from the window, he waled round to the door with his thumb in his mouth timidly.

 

Amai made sure she fixed herself. Always look your best in front of the customer.

 

He peeped in the door frame then hid behind it. he stuck out his arm into the shop, on the end, the basket he had recieved a delivery in.

 

Amai didn't know what to do. She was having a minor panic attack inside.

 

The basket had a little note attached in shaky ahndwritting it read : this is yours

 

Amai took a breath and walk towards him slowly. She reached out for the basket.

 

The basket arm was shaking slightly, the arm matched the handwritting perfectly.

 

Amai grabbed then basket then looked to him. She blushed and spoke in a soft, quite voice. "Thank you."

 

An equally quite voice replied. "thankyou for the cake"Even though has wasn't looking directly at her, his face went redder.

 

Amai but more, still holding onto the basket. she didn't want to pull it away. "You're welcome."

 

"I left you a present to say thankyou" he stuttered.

 

Amai looked in the basket. What could it be? She thought.
