A King's Story 3: Dark Secrets

Xyam sighed and picked up Near. "I know what you kids need, Warm milk and honey"

 

Near cried harder, clinging onto Xyam now.

 

Xyam hugged Near. "Shhh"

 

Near continued to cry.

 

Utterly confused Xyam put Near back on the floor.
Lawliet knelt down and stared at Near.

 

Kami smiled and let out a small laugh. That's so sweet. But I'm sure you could of come up with that on your own.

 

Hikaru stuck his head out from behind a doorway, hearing Near. "Near?" He sighed and walked over to him, picking him up. "Its not like you to cry."
Near still cried.
"This is odd..." Hikaru shrugged, looking up at Xyam.
Matt covered his ears. "Make him stop!"
Hikaru smiled and looked back at Near. "ano chiheisen. Kagayaku no wa. Doko ka ni kimi, o kakushite iru kara. Taku-san no hi ga. Natsukashii no wa. Ano dore ka hitotsu ni, kimi ga iru kara." He sang softly.
Near's cries started to die down as Hikaru sang. Soon, he was quiet, sucking the top of his thumb.

"I had to open a window and scream outta it. Three times." Alphonse said. "And that was just about thinking of asking to marry you, it got me worked up..."

Xyam sighed. "Oh thank goodness"

 

"I made up lyrics to his music box. It calms him down." Hikaru smiled. "But Near never cries. Not even if he's hurt. Something must be up."
"What about tummy upsets?" Matt asked.
"What about-" Hikaru blinked. "Did you give Near chocolate?"
Matt nodded.
"Well thats probably why. His tummys still too sesitive to chocolate..." Hikaru tickled Near's stomach.
Near laughed, smiling at Hikaru.

 

Opal laughed slightly at the memory as she dragged a brush through her tangled hair, "Well, you weren't much better and you didn't exactly discourage me now, did you?" She turned to Abee, still brushing her hair and walked over to him.

 

Xyam looked down at Matt and Lawliet. "And where did you get this chocolate?"

"Daddy's cupboard" He replied shyly.

 

"You can't blame me for wanting to see you when you have no control of yourself." Abee laughed. "Its was funny too. I didn't know that you knew so many swear words."

Hikaru rolled his eyes. "Is me and Karou gonna have to install a lock on that?"

 

"NOOO!!!! daddy has so much, and it wouldn't make a difference if I only took a few" He protested.

"And I suppose all the lollypops bursting out of your pockets count as a few?"

Lawliet looked up at her with a very upset expression.

 

Hikaru smiled. "Thats because your Daddy is a sugar freak that constantly loses his shirts and has to borrow mine."

 

Opal paused brushing her hair, "swear words?" Her eyes widened as she suddenly remembered, "Oh god, don't ever tell anybody about that or I will skin you alive, got that? I suppose would have been fairly funny though" She continued to brush her hair.

 

He smiled. "Daddy's shirts are comfy"

 

Abee smirked. "I can use this as blackmail now." His smirk turned into a cheeky grin. "Cause guess who recorded it~!" He held out his phone.

 

"No! Gimme that!" Opal lunged at him and tried to grab it off him.

 

"Plus you steal half of them." Hikaru said, looking down at Lawliet.


"Seriously? In the middle of nowhere?" Kazune asked, looking through a window into another room.
Cid nodded, standing next to him. "Middle of nowhere. After the other one died, we stepped up survaillance on this one. She's showing no signs of illness, she eats and drinks normally, regular sleeping habit."
"Does she have a name?" Kazune asked.
Cid shook his head. "She has a small collar around her neck with his weird language on it. It could be her name but none of us can analyse it."

Abee jumped away, laughing. "Not giving it~!" He teased.

 

"Only to play dinosaurs, I'm the Pterodactyl" he said proudly.
