4chan VS tumblr.

For those of you not tuning in on the drama, 4chan seems to be planning a "raid" in which they will bait and switch users by including "calm-down" site links that actually link to gore and pornography, "hacking" into certain user accounts, and filling popular tags with more of said gore and pornography. This is apparently in lieu of the amount of "social justice" and other "troubling" aspects of Tumblr itself, and the sheer quantity of users that appear to have transferred from Tumblr to 4chan.

I'm not taking sides, just letting all of you know if it concerns you.

 

They are also taking people's "selfies" and manipulating them onto pornographic images. Which is illegal. Being that this is slander and libel. Adding in that underage children frequent tumblr. I don't need to explain more on that front.

Also, I've been informed that it's not the entirety of 4chan. Just the /b/ board frequenters.

And they are clueless what to do with the Homestuckers.

 

Well of course not, the entirety of 4chan or even specific boards will never participate in a single activity, that's just how humans work.

That I would expect. I didn't think it was the entirety of 4chan anyway; most Tumblr users think that a majority of 4chan is like /b/.

I've been around the internet to know the difference.

Homestuck is a web based comic. The fans of which are rather ...used to gore which is one of the things they're clogging select tags with. There's quite a number of fanartists[ that do great work btw even if I don't enjoy the comic in question] that draw fanart of a certain...niche. So yes, they're rather at a loss.

I figure this is just a bunch of kids bored on their summer holiday. Report anything illegal and flag any posts[since you can do that now on tumblr!] and they'll get bored in two or three days.

 

NO ONE knows what to do with the Homestuckers.
