Wow, already? haha. Somehow I'm not surprised.

I just don't think that the 3DS is the innovative product that they find it to be. Yes the 3D is cool and it's certainly nice to see it without having to wear glasses, but once you get over that it really is just another DS. And the DS is the same tired product we've had for the last seven years. Also, I don't know anyone who likes 3D, I work at a theater and everyone complains when I hand them their glasses. :/ It's just very gimmicky and I think it's a passing fad.

what was it before? $230 or something? I want to get one just because I want to get Ocarina of Time and the latest pokemon games when they come out for it. Other than that, I don't really care too much for the 3D, since there's a limit for me to actually count as 3D. Not something that looks like the screen just got closer to you without actually making something 3D.

*sniff* You people are making me regret getting mah 3DS.... *sniff*

I think I got it just because I know that KH 3D is coming out for the 3DS.

Besides that, it's fun to play with other people online.

    That's new for the DS.

I don't have a 3DS so I don't know exactly what you're talking about, but you could play online using a Wi-Fi connection even with the original DS.

I feel bad for the people that bought it before this. It's like the virtual boy only not as terrible. But still...

actually, for those that have a 3DS, do you guys know if it works with WPA? My dad switched from WEP so I don't got Wi-Fi anymore and I'm hoping Nintendo didn't make it WEP exclusive again

Wow. Now I'm glad I waited to buy it. I only want it for KH3D and OoT. But when I played with one in Best Buy, the 3D kinda gave me a headache. >>

What I'm really waiting for is for Nintendo to come out with something that'll really rival the PSP.

Did no one really anticipate this? To me it was obvious that the 3DS was going to crash and burn...
Especially if you consider how many games there are for it, I don't even think it's worth $170. That goes for the entire Nintendo franchise to be honest. The games Nintendo have that sells are Mario, Zelda, Samus and Smash Bros. (I'm thinking of big numbers here).
I will probably buy the 3DS for KH3D, but for no other reason, at least as of now.

I was excited for the 3DS but then when I heard in the news the amount of people taking it back complaining of horrible headaches and blurred vision I thought I'd forget it. The only reason I actually want one is to play KH3D, so I'm hoping by the time it comes out the 3DS will be a lot cheaper than even after the price cut.

It does look good, but I'm just a bit wary of the side effects of 3D although the graphics do look good and I do like 3D.

This price cut is a good thing. Right now, Nintendo seems to be having financial problems and they had issues selling the 3DS in the first place. Hopefully, for Nintendo's sake, I hope this cut boosts their sells with it. (I intend to get one soon now)

You could play worldwide on a DS but only if your router allowed it or if the wireless adapter you could get felt like working.

If used right the 3D effect can be very interesting.

Interesting to read this though, i've heard a lot of complaints about the 3DS's library and how it doesn't really offer much both in terms of games and "innovation" but i thought that it at least was doing some decent sales (then again, i keep seeing people on the street playing with their DS(i)'s, i haven't seen anyone carry around a 3DS...).
Anyway, can't say i really care, i was never very interested in 3DS and let's face it, it is a matter of time before Nintendo makes an upgraded version of it (which will hopefully look better than the current system) that will be around the same price the original (the extra stuff that will have) was at the beginning, so no big deal i guess . Personally, i will wait till a next gen of Pokemon and KH3D make their appearance on it.

A 32% price cut? Ouch! The 3DS really did crash and burn...

This is why I never buy a handheld system right when it comes out. The price is at its highest and you have to wait for more games to come out? No, thank you I'll just be patient and wait for that price drop >>

They're dropping the price to release the 3DS Lite. I bet my life savings on it. Even with this price drop, it doesn't seem worth buying. 3D isn't as good as the touch screen was for the original DS.

Its sold about 4 million units. The problems the 3DS has is not the amount already sold, in that regard, it is very successful. The problem is the lack of continuous sales and the lack of games. I still say Nintendo dropped the ball by not having at least Ocarina of Time as a launch title and really should have waited a few months before releasing the system itself.
