Ok, i have no idea what's causing this. Today on League of Legends i lagged. Badly. That badly it was jumping from one place to the other, i couldn't see enemies, and i'd die in my own base (can't figure out why that is). Thing is, it has NEVER lagged on League of Legends other than today. My dad also got a 3DS today. Is it possible the wireless signals from the 3DS interfere with the wireless modem? If so, how can i fix this?
Were you playing multiplayer on someone else's host? Maybe the host had a less than ideal connection to begin with and you were feeling the effects of it. The same sort of thing happened to me when my brother was playing Black Ops on his Xbox and he was having connection issues, despite being hardwired to our router. When he left that host's game and played in another one, he wasn't lagging as much.
if the 3DS doesn't have it's Wifi turned on, you have nothing to worry about. if it is on, it depends on whether it's doing something. any internet connected device can lag your internet if it's doing something that requires a connection. you could turn off the Wifi on the 3DS if you want to be sure.
Also, were you playing over Nintendo WFC or within close range of somebody else? I don't know if this was fixed with the 3DS, but I know a lot of games (and some DS systems) have issues with routers that use WPA or WPA2 security coding. They'll only work on WEP. Close range gaming between systems should be fine, but over WFC can be tough. Just another thought. I have yet to get a 3DS myself so I'm going by what I've experienced with my phat, Lite, and XL systems.
I was playing League of Legends on my laptop computer. Dad was playing his 3DS the room next to me, but i'm not quite sure if he was on the Internet with it or not.
If it's on it has it's WiFi on. 3DS WiFi launches automatically if the the thing is turned on. I never had this before though, and I have my PC and 3DS on at the same time a lot. It also doesn't happen with my Xbox 360, but that thing's WiFI breaks every week.
