Birth by Sleep 3 New Kingdom Hearts Games in Development, Including KH3

There's only one thing I've ever liked about the Aladdin world;

KH3 will only be on the PS3 if Square Enix and Disney don't like to make money


And it's a guarantee none of these are PS2 games. Re:CoM = last PS2 KH game. Confirmed.

I'm thinking one of these will be a game about Riku's story (DS?), and one about Xehanort's past (PSP?)

 

Yo, boys, boys, slow down already! Concentrate on one game at a time!

(Also, what was this generous treatment Re:CoM got again? As far as I can see it didn't get one.)

 

Such wonderful news! I have to agree with Rho about the possibility of the next two games. Although, I'm hoping they'll both be on the PSP. If you look at the reviews that people gave Days and the connotation it brings along, it wouldn't be smart to put another game on the DS without getting experienced people on the team who know HOW to handle that kind of console.

First, this post I'm making will assume that Nomura wants to spread KH out to different Consoles/Handhelds. Now:

Didn't they already go through the memory of Xehanort with BBS on the PSP? Or atleast MX? And Riku for DS does seem like it could work again. Considering the fact that we just assumed he was with DiZ and Namine the whole time in Days and came out every once in a while, and knowing his movements in KH1 would be nice. So it could maybe be another game between the time of KH1 and KH2, but during Days and KH1, and after CoM.

I'm still expecting something on the Wii, atleast.

I actually happen to like Genie, thank you very much. And Aladdin as a partner in KH2 was fun, his Limit was one of his good points too. Everything else? I don't give a damn, really.

 

They do like to make money but the only other system that SE will probably release the game on will be the 360. Releasing the game on the Wii would completely change the gameplay which they said that they don't want to change. Plus the PS3 is the best selling console in Japan(I think...can't really remember) so they would want to at least sell it on the console that will make them a lot of money in their own country.

I'm assuming you want to know more about Riku's Story during KH1, right? If so I don't really know how this is going to work out. Which Xehanort are you talking about as well, Master Xehanort or Xehanort the apprentice because I don't think we need to know much more about MX since the reports in BBS tell you alot about him but Xehanort the apprentice I would like to know more about.

 

For whatever reason, I can't see there being a good Riku game. He's the only real conflict character, and he needs some mystery to his story, imo. Reverse/Rebirth is one of my favorite parts of the Kingdom Hearts series, but I like Riku as more of a guest or side character. You're wondering what exactly he's gone through and what he's up to now. Shedding light on that would spoil how exciting it is when he makes an appearance in future titles.

I agree. The DS isn't made for real-time combat games like Kingdom Hearts. Final Fantasy games could work well, because the fighting is just clicking things in menus, but Kingdom Hearts? no. Personally I haven't played Days, but the whole point-and-tap interface of the DS just doesn't support fast paced battling.

I really doubt that this will ever happen.

The PS3 won't be $90 for a very, very long time. Most PS2s go for $60-$80 each, and they came out 10 years ago and have been replaced by the newer version. So until the PS4 comes out, I doubt the PS3 will ever drop below $200.

With Final Fantasy XIII, I can see maybe Kingdom Hearts appearing on the 360. It's not as far a shot as the Wii. And yeah, iirc the Xbox doesn't stand up very well internationally.

And Days barely had to use the Touch Screen. At all. It was kept pretty much the same on the DS.

 

This concerns me as well. I wonder how further they can push the graphics engine when there are characters such as Donald and Goofy and you have to keep that cartoonish style combined with more human characters.

Aladdin will be milked to death, and i want to see Agrabah again and again and again as long as they can find a good way to involve the episodes from the series. There is so many things that can be included in the game from the series!

Well I hope KH3 comes out soon cause after BBS comes out I want to play it.

 

I don't think the game they are releasing this year can be on the Wii or the PS3 unless they had a secret development team which was doing it all along or they slacked off on Versus. I say it's either for the DS/3DS, PSP or Mobile.

 

If you read the news, it said that the true work on KH3 would only start after Final Fantasy XIII Versus is done and released. And it's very likely that Versus will only release in 2011 or later... So yeah.. you might have to wait some time...

 

Maybe for outside of Japan. BBS was released in 2009 for Japan. Most likely, if Nomura stays true to his word, the next KH game could be out by December of 2010 for Japan. But like every other KH game, it'll be delayed about a year. lol

Remember when KH Days was supposed to come out the summer before they launched the title in May for Japan? Funny stuff. lol

No one has let to suggest that one of the new KH games might be a mrpg covering the keyblade war mentioned in bbs. I think that would be cool creating a character who would be a keyblade master and fight for light or for darkness against other keyblade masters.

 

Yeah... as cool as that sounds I really don't see that happening. A game like that would take away the "feel of KH" and Nomura doesn't want that to happen.
