    Merged the threads.
I'm not going to see it. It looks painfully dull. Not my cup of tea.

If you see it in an IMAX theater the film looks more threatening and real. It looks kind of creepy and I saw the previews of it as well. Dabating whether I am going to see this or not.

Hey, I have an idea, let's make everyone scared of the world ending again, then use their paranoia as a tool to make money by creating a movie about the world ending.

The movie is made for a different purpose and not because they feel like producing a paranoia phenomion, but because o in that year the Aztecs (or whoever are the smartest people in the world) think the world will be ending. Complete crap since they believed that the year 2000 that computer technology was going to crash. Bah.

Sorry to necrobump, but I saw a scene of this on Comcast On-Demand, and I must say this movie will be extremly awesome. The graphics were well done, obviously the story is epic, the acting is great, (It has the guy from 1408) and anyone who has Comcast on-demand should check it out. It am totally stoked about this movie.

    I agree with The Fuk?
The graphics in itself is a reason to see it.
A plot could be great, but if it's not eyepleasing, it won't attract me.
We have yet to see too much info on the characters and actual story, so even though they might suck, they might not. You never know.

Day after Tomorrow was a success to me. I mean yeah, those things aren't going to happen that suddenly, but how else are you to get the point across to people? Show a film that last years showing the change in climate in the future?

Sorry for the necrobump but it just came out about a week ago and me and my friends went to see it. We went for the story but it let us down. while we loved the effects the storyline in itself brought it down alot.

I expected more from it. It has nice set pieces and special effects, but everything else was a let down. Bad acting and was way too damn long. But seeing emotional black men cry did make it quite entertaining.

I went to see it to watch the world as we know it wither and die and I was not disappointed. I mean seriously, people need to wind their necks in and realise that these films are not made to be masterpieces of filmography. Go in to see amazing special effects and you won't be disappointed, going for anything higher brow than that is just stupid.

I went to see how these film creators would depict the end of the world that the Mayans had predicted. I honestly didn't pay attention to much else. I mean, it wasn't the acting and storyline that caught me during the trailer. The special effects were great, but some of the apocalyptic scenarios seemed...improbable. Oh well. I heard we're getting a television series spin off anyway.
