I saw this trailer, when I saw Transformers. I was shocked at everything that was happening. The Church, the Cities falling into the sea, builds falling to the ground, and the USS John F. Kennedy on a HUGE Tsunami and crashing on the White house.......I was devastated....I think this will be a sad/ action flick like the others....

Another special-effects filled, characterizationless, pretentious piece of blandness done by the same guy who did Godzilla and Eight Legged Freaks. Pass.

This is actually a documentary that was made in 2012 but since it was the end of the world there was nobody to show it to so the creator went back in time to show us.

I am actually looking forward to it, looks like it could be pretty good. Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow were both damn good films IMO so I see no reason why this won't be of the same standard. I think the fact that it is an issue that everyone is thinking about (even if they don't voice those thoughts) could make it work really well.

The whole 2012 thing doesn't have me worried or scared, personally I think it will be people panicking and going crazy in fear that will destroy us if anything does.

That is a really ignorant post.

That's basically how one would describe this guy's other films, though. Big-budget special effects and explosions... But characters and stories as interesting as watching paint dry. In slow-motion. Though, perhaps it's not the director's fault. These type of flicks have become the norm these days, whether or not a certain director handles them.

That's actually true. XD Everything's so easily predictable. Although that's because there's not really such thing as a new story anymore. Just how it's presented. Eh. I'll rent it. Eventually. 8D8 Old trailer is old.

Meh... just another bad movie it shall be, really it's so Clichéd about crap getting destroyed and the things blowing up and the end of the world the trailer dosen't even make it look good.

It's funny because everybody in here criticizing the film is going to see it.

D: since I actually like his others I think we are going to have to agree to disagree, because I really disagree with that.

It is how it is presented that make a good film. Basic plot lines might be predictable but it is the journey to get to those basic points that makes it interesting.

I actually think the trailer was pretty good, and you can't deny the effects were pretty damn decent.

I think judging it to such an extent before you have even seen it is really, well :/ dumb.

    D: I did not see a giraffe

Meh, I don't care how good the effects, storyline or director is, at the end of the day it's a disaster movie thats only going to encourage the crazy people even more, which is a VERY bad idea.

I saw DAT and while it was good as far as films go, it was highly inaccurate and stoked the already out of control flames of Global Warming Mania. 'The Great Global Warming Conspiracy' is a much better (And scientifically accurate) film.

    Godzilla is awesome though :D

Oh really? I thought I was watching a movie. You know, a work of fiction and not a documentary.

I went to see it expecting a natural disaster movie and for stuff to get fucked up. I didn't know it was supposed to teach me something.

No, I don't hate people for daring to dislike him, but I am as entitled to defend my likes as you are to put forward your opinions on things that you dislike.

As much as you say I hate for people to dislike it, I can say that you hate people for daring to like it.

Once again, people on ze internet expect us to ALWAYS HAVE THE SAME OPINIONS AS THEM. =P

I think it looks pretty good and plan on going to see it. What some people seem to forget that not every film has to be a masterpiece. Not every film is going to be ground-breaking and original. Very few films are. This film sets out to portray the end of the world and, from the looks of the trailer, that's what it does.

I really don't see what the problem is =/

Yes, not every movie doesn't have to be a masterpiece. There can be plenty of different kinds of movies made out there that aren't my type. But where are the kinds of movies I like? When was the last groundbreaking movie made? About, oh, probaly 30 years ago. My problem is that there have been very little films that are not the summer blockbuster type in awhile, let alone one that's any good.

Fair enough, but the thing is not everyone sees it as fiction and is encouraged to think it could really happen when its actually a load a bull. Same deal with 2012.
