Alright, so, I'm on my Wii, checking out the latest news on the News Channel.
And then, I stumbled upon a story about a young boy, shot to death on Halloween.

(And I know it's a bit surprising for me to be posting something related to news.)

    Poor boy.

The porch light of a house to a man named Quentin Patrick was a usual signal that trick or treaters were welcome at that house for some candy and whatnot. Well, one boy so happened to knock on the door, 12-year-old T.J. Darrisaw, and the man who answered, wasn't so pleased.

So, the man probably decided to get some candy and told the kid to wait with his father right there. Later, the man, Quentin, pulled out a AK-47 and unleashed 29 to 30 rounds within the boy. One bullet so happened to enter the arm of the father.

Instantly, the boy was killed. Right on Halloween.

This goes to show how stupid these felons are. The man, Quentin Patrick, was actually afraid of getting arrested. Well, he got as bit paranoid when a kid and an adult were there just for their usual day of Halloween.

Seriously, this is so messed up to kill a boy at such a young age. Really.

They were talking about this on another site I go on.

It is horrible. I feel so sorry for the kid's family. His father and brother were also injured in the incident ._.

The guy who shot him was an ex-con. How the **** did an ex-con get his hands on an AK-47?

What a strange and twisted world this is when kids die like that and ex-cons get assault rifles

This just goes to show how weak America's law enforcement system is. Its complete and total bullshit if I may speak frankly. There can be hundreds of people who saw someone do something but are afraid of getting killed for ratting. That's just an example that the police only comes in handy when its giving people tickets and not protecting people. I mean really if the guy was already an ex-con he should've been being watched severly but no if he has enough goddamn freedom to get a ****ing AK-47 and shoot a boy to death with it there's something seriously ****ing wrong with police. A man can walk in Wal-Mart with only a freaking Jason mask on for christ sake kill everyone inside and when he goes to court if he hires a good enough lawyer he can get off scot-free. America need to stop training soldiers to send them to battlefields for other country's problems and needs to start giving that military training to police officers so when it comes to protecting our people they dont just sit on their ass and let the people get screwed over. If we let the police and army switch places not only would it be safer in America but the exact same things would go on in Iraq and everywhere else. All they're really doing is policing a different area all it is, is a cop's dream anyway go somewhere guns blazing kicking ass. But the police should know that not every case is going to be a huge drug bust or a terrorist scheme but if it's left unchecked someone could die. I just hope that one day all these law enforcement people wake up and start doing their job like it's supposed to be done.

To end someone's life like that just because the kid wanted just damn hand full of candy is stupid. DX

If the guy did not want trick o treaters on Halloween , he could of turned off the lights and put up a no trespassing sign.

It just ticks me off watching the stupidness of some people these days. DX

This really just makes me sad. This is another reason why, I'm sorry, but I see absolutely no reason for it to be legal for citizens to own guns here. People like this can get their hands on weapons way too easy, and there are far more cases of sad and horrible accidents like this than cases where people ACTUALLY use them in self defense. If that man wasn't able to purchase a gun, or if someone else wasn't able to purchase a gun for him, that child would still be alive.

Not really, I still go trick or treating with all my friends and I'm 13.

There is no reason to shoot a poor boy, all he wanted was candy.Halloween is supposed to be scary, but I really don't think literally scary.
The man was afraid to be arrested;Fuck that..If you are afraid to be a arrested: LIKE MUA.Then don't do anything that would permit you getting arrested.Stupid Ass.

R.I.P and I hope the family will be able to move and live a happy life.
    Best wishes<333

I feel so bad for the family D; I would never be able to move on from a child dying, what if that was my sister!?! D:

Ohh, this is sad and just ridiculous, if he was so against having trick or treater's coming to his door why didn't he just put up a sign saying so? And turned off his porch light?

And hell, 12 is not to old for going out to trick or treat. I was still doing it at 13 >.>

And no offense, but I think its f*cked up that Americans can buy guns so easily .

This is worse than when 5 years ago, some lady hung herself and everyone thought it was a halloween decoration.

What is it with Halloween? I think we should get rid of Trick or Treating. Find some other way to do it.

Rofl. I'm sad about the boy, but I can't help but lauph at how pathetic that guy is. He shot a kid cuz he was afraid of being arrested? HA!
Its pretty messed up, but I mean, does this guy realize what his stupidity has gotten him into? If he had just kept quiet and given the ****in candy, then he wouldn't have been caught. *facepalms self* is it just me, or are smart people hard to find these days?

I really dont mean to sound heartless here but i dont see why we would should be discussing this, 100,000 people die a day, quite alot through murder, so i don't see why a thread should be made for every kid who makes it to news for having a bit more violent death than some others, if anything a thread should be made for giving evidence how guns are bad and this boys death could be an actual example, but for general discussion, a 12 years olds death isn't really something we should be talking about so freely online IMO.

If we just start accepting that it happens then nothing will ever be done about it. We are desensitized enough as it is without ignoring these completely random and uncondonable acts of violence.

I read about that when I logged on AOL, and was talking to a friend about it. It really is sad, and it freaked me out because I went trick-or-treaing in some familiar-but-never-been-to-on-Halloween-areas. Then I got home and read that...

And 12 is not way to old for trick-or-treating. My friends and I are going to continue trick-or-treat until the people at the door won't give us candy. xD

But it makes me feel quiet scared, and I might want to re-think about going with a smaller group, because half of my friends are "to old for it", on Halloween next year. D:

    POOR KID.
