Wasn't the world supposed to end on 6/6/06, also?

 

I highly doubt we can predict the end of the world just because the Mayan calendars stopped. In the end, the Mayan culture was also destroyed. We've had several dates go by that were our doomsday and people were even stupid enough to commit suicide on some of them. Some people just like to have their times when they think things will come to pass where we won't be here tomorrow. When we are doomed, we are going to know and it won't be because of something like this.

That's so friggin stupid. If people are going to say the world is gonna end, true or not what makes you commit suicide when you can live out what you got? xD

 

Yeah, I know xD It's really lame how much people will believe in some things and well, be their own worst enemies. The world ended for -them- on those dates at least so I guess in one sense they weren't totally wrong. >.>

 

I choose not to belive it,from a Relgious view also here. I don't belive scientifically they can prove when the world will end. Apart from the Green house gases down here, I don't see how and why would the world end on 2012 for. The earth seems healthy to me.And also how would the Mayan's know anyway? When the world would end. Each and every written calander has to end at some point. That could of just been a random point of when the calander ended.

 

Yes, but there was less evidence to support that than there is for 12/21/12. 666 is just the "Devil's Number", or something.

 

Right here is my opinion of this fact, when the Mayan made their calender, they assume they would be around a lot longer then they were, so if they were still around they would renew their calendar for another 2000 years or so (I can't remember when it first starts, but I'm sure it was more the 2000 years ago) But they also believed we live under the 5th sun so I guess something may happen on 21st den 2012 which would make human change in one way or another, but they are only my opinions.

 

I don't care, I mean, we are getting all worked up about it and if it happens it's not like we'll know it happened, amirite?​

That's what they said would happen on 6/6/06, and hey, we are still here. I mean, so many people have predicted the end of the world; why would the Mayans be right? I say it's all just superstition.​

Ok i find it dumb, I mean its like people in the future find my old calander and i hate the months november and months after that will THEY think that the world will end?

I sure hope not! My birthday is the next day! XDDD But seriously, no I don't. I'm into superstitions, but there have been many times when the world was supposed to end and we're still here!
